I am very happy I found this little nail salon! I rarely treat myself to pedi-manis but I was feeling down so I figured - why not. I actually went to get my eyebrows threaded down the way first - which was also a stellar place! This little nail salon is not a big fancy place but it was clean. The pedi chairs were nice and worked amazing. They put plastic shields between guests and clean them as well. The who did my toes did an amazing job. Very nice French Tip. I feel bad that I did catch her name. But the lady "IVY" did an amazing job on my hands. The staff pushes gel so - I figured I would do it - the price seemed right. So glad I did. I keep getting compliments on my beautiful nails. Oddly enough, I went to eat a restaurant a couple days later and the waitress complimented on them. I looked at hers and her nails were as beautiful as mine. It turned out "IVY" did her nails too and she randomly stopped in on this place. My closing note 'new is nice, but quality is better!' I went to get my nails done here and a made an appointment at 5 pm. To start off, they were behind and told me to wait. I waited 30 minutes before it was my turn. That wasn't a problem to me, so I just waited while looking at nail colors. That turned out to be pointless because they barely have a selection of nail colors available. Anyway, I finally chose a color and got my nails done. When the lady finished doing my nails, some of them were extremely crooked and unevenly matched in length. I didn't say anything because I knew I wouldn't come back and the lady was nice so I didn't want to upset her and stay even longer than I already had to get them fixed. It has been a week and now my light-blue colored nails have blotches of brown and black that appeared out of nowhere. Either the nail polish was really old and cheap or the UV Ray machine was trash. Either way, $30 down the drain. Do NOT go here if you actually expect a decent job done on your nails. Extremely disappointed and will never come here again. read more

I asked for coffin nails and they look straight. Idk for 33 dollars I feel like they weren't worth the price. If I look at my nails in the light it looks like my nails have cellulite. Update: so I figured out why my nails looked bumpy in the sun, because she didn't file them down and make them even enough. I had file them down myself and paint them white. I also asked for her to cut my cuticles which cost 5 extra. But she decided to cut them after she put the acrylics on so then it looked like my nails has already grown out because I had a lot of skin to be cut. I asked another nail salon and they said they're supposed to cut them before they start which is so annoying. These were literally the worst nails I've ever had. read more

Let me start by saying I've came here a couple of times and each time I came was because I gave them a sec chance, well this will be the last time I go there. I called in advance to check the price and they told me $22 for acrylic over the phone and $28 if i want them long with gel. So I go in i told them I want them really short since im always typing at work I can't have them long. The Chinese lady was being rude moving my hand all aggressively which is no surprise, and after filing my nails she didn't dust them of or tell me to go wash ur hands .. she continued to put the nail polish over all the dust. So at the end she tells me 28 I said 28? U told me 22 over the phone and another Chinese lady said "no she do gel fo u" like wtf? First of all she did not put gel and if she did supposedly put it she did not ask me if I wanted gel, long story short I paid the $28 and the next day the corner chipped on my thumb and the color got scratched on my index finger so I doubt they used gel. Won't be coming here again. I recommend city nails they have good prices and they don't treat u like shit nor do a bad job. But mays nails sucks ass. read more

I AM SO HAPPY I HEARD ABOUT THIS PLACE!!! I am super picky about a few things, my nails being one of them. A few weeks ago while at the mall I complimented my cashiers nails and she told me about Lorenzo at Mays Nails. I was excited to go and finally did yesterday! This nail salon is kind of far from me. I drove about 30 minutes to get there but it is all freeway time and only a block away from its freeway entrance. The salon is small but cute and homely. As soon as I got there I could tell everyone in there was a regular. As you can see in one of my previous post I was super disappointed in the "coffin style nails" I got two weeks ago. Lorenzo went right to work shaping my nails and buffing them out and made them thinner and less bulky than they were originally. He spent under an hour but totally worked efficiently and made my nails perfect. When I was talking to the cashier at the mall she told me you get so much more than you pay for and boy, was she right. I paid $15 for awesome quality and awesome looking nails! My friend with me got a full set and paid $21!! I am so happy with my nails I can't wait to go back! For me, it is worth the drive!
