I've been going to Venus for about one year. I've had some not so great experiences and today I had a really good experience. I think the differences I had the colored powder instead of gel. It seems that when I have the gel put on my fill it's lumpy and for some reason it just looks very thick. I had Tammy today and she did a great job on my nails I would recommend her especially for powder acrylic. read more

Just went and got a full set French tip and it was the worst! Loni I believe her name was did a horrible job. Not only is every single nail crooked she even broke a tip and glued it and put clear power over it. Nails look horrible and she said look fine... my 6year old does better nails than this. She did a sloppy job on my nails and I had to have her redo a couple over because one was thick (I got a gel manicure) one had a blemish, and another had bubbles. Last visit. I have come many times to get my eyebrows waxed and it has always been fine. I usually get the same lady but this time she wasn't there. Why is it that you must start talking to each other IMMEDIATELY when you get a new client? And talking OVER my face? Why can't you just do the job in front of you? Maybe you could even start a conversation WITH your client. I understand the language barrier makes that one a little bit tougher so I understand. Everyone here is so nice! They offer waxing, hair cuts, facials, gel or regular mani/pedi. They have 1 TV, all chairs and massage chairs are leather and Essie or OPI polish products. Prices are fair and they take their time with your services. My friend and I always come here! read more

You couldn't pay me enough to go back here! I had my old acrylic nails removed and replaced by Nicole and she did a terrible job. My nails were lumpy, uneven, and breaking within hours. My 7 year old granddaughter could have done better with the polish! I ended up paying someone else $35 to clean up my nails so that they looked decent. I tried to get my money back and they refused. They wanted to fix my nails, and I told them that I already had them fixed and they wanted me to go in and have my nails taken off in order to get my money back. Im disappointed, wishing I read these reviews before I went. I needed a place local to go on my lunch break. The lady who did my nails didn't file them even and there is police on my toes! The "design" looks like I did it myself. When she helped put my shoe on she grabbed the skin of my toe instead of the strap of my sandal. I get to the office and my toe was still hurting. I look at the bottom of my foot to see she sliced it with her sharp nails. I can't beleive I paid for this and reading all these reviews, they are still in business. :( Lesson learned. I won't go here again. I will go to someone I know and trust and pay a couple more bucks for a good job. This is the first time I didn't tip. read more

Ive gotten pedicures here twice as recommended by my bestfriend and the same lady has helped me both times...she always cleans up & paints my toes really nice! This place is so horrible lady I had was horrible. I had gel before I came. The my nails outgrown I went shopping and thought it would be nice to get them done for the holidays. Worse idea ever, the lady had hot water then put acetone in the hot water. Then put my hands in the water then put a towel on top of it, it burned me so bad. She wasn't enough filing my nails she was filing my skin. She didnt like the white part on my nails so she was filing it. It hurt so bad then I moved my hands and she gave me a bad look. I brought my mom here for some Mothers Day weekend pampering after she mentioned the place during a trip to the shopping center where it's located. She was able to get a shampoo and set, plus a mani/pedi as a walk-in. The entire staff was very nice and welcoming. I decided to give them a try myself today and was very impressed with my mani/pedi and facial waxing services. She literally acted like she had somewhere else to be the entire time I was with her. No stars. Have been going there for years with my daughters. They had a new girl do my mani and pedi. I thought the pedi was ok. The mani was gel and she could not get the old gel off. I had to instruct her. I also had to refile my nails. When I got home 4hours later after errands, I sat on my new outside sofa. My daughter noticed that the nails looked messed. Upon inspection the toe nails were still wet....after 4 hours. Wet to the touch. How did she do that? I immediately took the nail polish off and tried to clean the cushion. When I called them they said they would refund the pedicure but they would not pay for a new cushion. They lost my business and will have a legal claim against them. read more

I have been going to this salon for over 10 years and I have never had a problem with any of the women or services provided. I have a pedicure, acrylic nail fill or replaced, hair cuts and highlights. I have so many people comment on my hair cut and higlight job and I have referred many people there. There are so many regulars that if the previous comments were true the place would be empty. The ladies are Vietnamese and not Chinese and if they were talking smack you probably derserved it. I only go here to get my nails done because they're prices are so cheap. However, I go to Giovanni's for my waxings. Do not get your waxing done at Venus. They don't know what they're doing. aafter coming here for years i feel like they have given up on good customer service. my mother & i have decided not to return. they rushed us through the entire service. i didnt even get a chance to decide on my polish color before i was told to go sit down at my chair. then i was moved twice to different chairs. i also had a technician reach across me to ggrab something from my manicurists table(literally her body was an inch from my face). i was obviously in the way everywhere they put me. giving horrible service to regulars is not a good business move. maybe if i come back in a year theyll give me the new customer experience again. read more
