Whoever the owner is needs to fix the damn machines. I paid money to get my clothes washed and the stupid washing machine was leaking out all the water so my clothes didn't clean completely. I love this place! The environment is so welcoming the staff is very helpful. I have nothing but good experiences here. I have been coming here for about 16 years. My son recently has been helping me do the laundry here I would say I feel blessed and secured. The staff is so kind and very helpful with him the owner is amazing. I honestly love coming here. It's a plus to have the app downloaded to pay for the washers and dryers not everyone has cash in hand. Will continue to come here and wash my clothes for as long as I can. I am asking the fluff and fold to keep the video evidence that their employee is a thief. I took video showing they have cameras in the laundry room. The videos will show me giving 40 dollars and their employee giving me 15.70. I am asking that they keep the video evidence because I will see them in court to sue them. I talked to Matt about the incident and he said that I was not allowed back there because I "made their employee cry". All I did was tell her to give me the correct change and said I would talk to her manager. I told them that's not fair that I'm not allowed back because I caught their employee trying to steal from me. I will see them in court. I called the manager and told him to keep the video evidence. He does not respond to my calls. I left messages and text messages he does not respond to messages. When I talked to him briefly he told me "I made his employee cry". No she cried because I caught her trying to steal a dollar from me. I took video evidence of her not giving my the correct change myself but i took pictures of their room. They have video cameras in the laundry room. I want them to keep the footage and I am asking them to keep the footage to expose that they steal but they are not responding to me and they told me I am not allowed to do my laundry anymore there. So I will see them in court. If they don't keep the video footage that is going to look bad on them. What pisses me off is their employee had a bad attitude and she thought she could get away with stealing from me. And I took video with my phone and I was completely calm and nice and I just showed her that she tried to take a dollar from me. And to me it is clear she did it on purpose because of her bad attitude. But then when I complained to the manager he told me that I made her cry and I am not allowed back and he wouldn't let me tell him what happened. Terrible business. I tell him that's not fair to kick me out when I just pointed out that his employee steals. I message him to keep the video evidence. He does not respond. I know they have the video evidence they have the cameras in that room. I'm taking them to court I left enough messages for them to know that they better keep the video evidence, but the thieves who work there probably won't. But it's ok I have enough video evidence with my phone to prove it but I know they had their cameras on. The court is going to want to see it. Their manager or whatever Matt is should have been apologetic that his employee is either incompetent or a thief and I am pretty sure she is a thief and did it intentional. He should have been apologetic and told me he would reprimand her and did some disciplinary action. Instead he punished me and told me I could "do my laundry someplace else" because I "made her cry". I took video of the incident and I wasn't mean to her in the least I just told her that there is cameras in the room and they will catch her stealing and she cried and apologized and told me that she knew she gave me the wrong change but she acted like it was an accident and based on my experience with her it did not seem to be an accident I'm pretty sure she tried to steal from me intentionally. The crazy thing is she cried and she kept saying she was sorry. She knew she gave me the wrong change and I pointed out the cameras saw it and she was caught so she cried because she knew I caught her being a thief. And I was going to let it go and just move on. I told her to wash my clothes and I will move on. But the next day I come to get my clothes she didn't do them and I talk to Matt and he said they will not let me do my clothes there anymore because I "made her cry". He wouldn't even let me explain to him that she took a dollar from me. I tried to explain to him and he just kept cutting me off and telling me that I was no longer welcome there. I was going to forgive her even though she's a thief but his response to what happened makes me want to take them to court, which I will do. But I actually forgave her and I was going to let it slide. She kept saying "I'm so sorry I'm so sorry I know". She knew she gave me the wrong change. But her bosses response to me over the phone when I called him is what pisses me off. I hope he keeps the video evidence from the cameras in that room read more

I have been coming here for 3 years now. Their new employee that is a Hispanic women clearly saw that the washer machine that I had selected took my money and did not want to give me credit. I clearly showed her on the app that I had money to pay the machine and the machine took my money and the machine that I paid was no longer showing up. This is literally the last time I will be coming here. She was extremely rude and kept telling me that I did not pay it when I was clearly showing her that it was paid. It's a shame that I couldn't just leave since I had already started my laundry. Update: After the owner reached out to her she finally gave me the credit that was owed to me. The woman who works here is very discriminating against non hispanic people. The woman's name is Alicia She was on her cell phone & I guess was forced to pause when I came in waiting for her to finish her phone call. She looked at me pissed & said "What?" I said I need these blankets washed & folded like they used to. She wants to charge me $40 for each blanket to wash & fold. I said I always pay $30 I decided not to have it done. I have receipts to show that I pay $30 for each . Alicia said she never charged $30 . Apparently she is just throwing in numbers based on how she looks at you. She is a disgrace to this company. I have been going to this laundry-mat since I moved to Northridge about 3 months ago & I wanted to share my recent experience at this laundromat, which left me feeling disheartened. I came at 7pm because I love when it's calmer & it gives me about 4 hours to wash and dry. There were PLENTY of open dryers because there were only about 4 customers in the store BUT some guy wanted a dryer I was using . I guess i was using the "Big" dryer . He was already upset because I guess he has been waiting but I told him I was almost done , as the dryer said it had 12 minutes left. I have terrible anxiety in public so I left to go sit in my car but I had set a timer. I came about 4 minutes before my timer stopped and when I walked in the lady that works there was taking all of my stuff out and putting them into them laundry baskets. I come there EVERY weekend so I am I familiar face . I ALWAYS GET IN THERE AND GET OUT. This felt incredibly upsetting to me, as I have a strong aversion to others touching my belongings..I was so upset because she took my clothes out immediately after it stopped..she did not even wait 2 minutes. I understand that the staff is trying to keep things moving, but it's hard to shake the feeling that my personal space and items weren't respected. I've been coming to the Laundromat for over a year. Every experience that I have had has been pleasant. I prefer to go when Alicia is working. She makes sure the machines are occupied in a timely manner and is always willing to offer assistance in any way she can. Alicia enjoys her job and her customers as well. The women who works at night basically kick us out arguing that they close at 9:00 pm when the sign said close at 10:00 pm I was there at 9:30 pm picking up my clothes and she started to scream at me and my husband and throwing us dirty water from the map. Before that, she took my basket and when I told her that I was using it, she told me that they were plenty that were empty and wasn't true. I didn't say anything because I'm not the kind of person who will treat someone bad. It's open later than other laundromats, and they even have a machine that changes dollars into quarters I dislike the laundromats that are open 24/7! So I was there on a Wednesday night which I'm always goin on weekends because I can't always do my laundry in the weekdays ,cause of my job and I was using the washers in the middle the 5 dollar washers and they take a while to work I'm not sure what's goin on but there was a lot of washers out of order and it's hard to find a washer when there's so much people using the facility and on top of all that mess the lady that works there hard a harsh attitude with me and kept going around telling me to hurry up and finish cause she had to close at 10 sharp and I did not understand why she has such hostile attitude towards me , as it is the washer were not all working and I had to use a 5 dollar washer cause the machines are all acting up!! Then I asked her if there was a bathroom and she said only for customers with a very nasty attitude! She basically kicks you out and it's like , excuse I'm spending money here and you treating me like I'm homeless ! she creates a hostile environment! The white bearded male who I guess is the owner harasses their customers for no reason. I parked in the spot marked for laundry customers only. It's pouring rain so I sat in the car for a bit, maybe 5-10 min tops. He approached my car knocking on my door, very angry, demanding I open the door, tried to open the door himself, calling me names saying parking is for customers, that I had to move, completely ignoring the fact that I'm a customer. As a young solo female, I felt extremely unsafe with the way he approached me and talked to me. He demanded I roll down my windows but I didn't do it. I was happy to talk to him but he wouldn't let me talk. Kept talking over me, and eventually called me stupid and a dumb b*. Completely hostile and uncalled for. Told me my business is not welcomed. All I did was sit in the car waiting for the rain to stop a bit, as I needed time to get my clothes from the back of my vehicle. I understand the anxiety of reserving the parking for customers , but how do you approach an woman alone with this type of hostility, what for? I love this laundry mat. The two men that work there all the time are brothers and theyre both extreamly helpful and nice. Seriously! They guy helps me bring my laudry to my car when he sees im doing like 3/4 loads all by myself. Theyre super friendly qith me and asls about my family and daughter. The actual laundry is well kept. Washers always work and if one is out of service theres enty more available. Well what can I say, I've been going here for about 5 years now and even when I move a bit further I keep going. This was my go-to laundromat for when I had to wash and dry large items, but after having one of the worst customer service experiences in my recent memory, I will patronize another laundromat when I have to. Mind you: the owner of this place provided great care to my complaint about the female, middle-aged manager who was dismissive and rude to me while talking about me in Spanish to other customers nearby and going out of her way to be exceptionally congenial to other customers (i.e. Spanish-speaking, Latino patrons) while treating me with utter rudeness. I don't expect places to be friendly or nice to me, but I would like customer service folks to at least be neutral, fair, and not treat me like dirt. Instead, I was scolded by this manager for a spill I had created and wanted to resolve on my own by asking for a towel so that I could clean up my mess and not cause a slip hazard to anyone. She stood around as I was cleaning up the spill and began to talk to two customers nearby; while I'm not fluent in Spanish, I could tell they were addressing my spill issue, and I felt already like I was public enemy number one because I caused a spill. I highly doubt I'm the only person in the history of this establishment to cause a spill, and this laundromat, like many others, have complimentary rags and towels that their paying customers can and do use on the daily, so I don't know why she gave me such grief about my spill and asking for a towel. I thanked her as well for her help in providing said towel and insisted that I clean the mess myself. She then began to blame me for the app charging me twice for one wash. When I asked her if I could talk to a manager, she puffed her chest and said she is and made a gesture like "too bad, it's your fault you paid the machine twice" and then proceeded to instruct me where my machine was, at which point she reiterated that I was in the wrong. Look, I know I made a rookie mistake most likely with the app and may have paid twice cos this is this first time I've used the app to pay for a wash and dry here, but as I told the owner, "It's not what you say, it's how you say it." This manager is so rude. I don't understand why I had to be the recipient of her hostility and demeaning nature while she greeted and laughed with others. I don't want or need her to greet or laugh with me, BUT what I would have appreciated was a modicum of grace and professionalism and neutrality from her instead of flat out mistreatment and hostility. Thank you to the owner for making things right with me; he's a true professional and even said he'd talk with the manager about her behavior towards me. I'm just unlikely going back here because I felt so incredibly unwelcome by this manager and would rather drive farther away in order to avoid such an unpleasant customer service experience like the one I had encountered today because of this bad, very mean apple. read more

Overpriced, very very rude attendant, machines smell really bad inside & there is NO parking

I just moved to the area and looked to give this place a shot. The parking is hard to come by as the plaza is small and has many businesses. I choose to do the small washers (which were 1.75) and two of them did not clean my things and the lady said the things were "too heavy" and that it made the washers off blanace. She said "Have you ever washed clothes?".. I've been washing for years and have never ever had a machine do what these did. The dryers SUCK!! The dryers took 4 times to dry. My towels didn't even dry and I had to hang them at home. Not coming here again. read more

Ok so I went here on a Sunday night around 9:30. I had an emergency situation because the washer broke in my building during the wash cycle, water wouldn't drain. I had a full load of soaking wet clothes that I needed to dry. My apartment laundry has a stupid card system and I only had enough money on my card for a wash and a dry so I had no choice but to take my clothes somewhere that I could pay cash. So I get out of my car with a garbage bag full of wet clothes, in a camwalker boot, with a crutch and my son. This man met us at the door way , on his cell phone and said they were closed! So stating that they are open until 10pm is a lie! Some people are so uncaring and unempathetic....this man was a straight ASS! I went here because it is right around the corner from my place. Horrible. Our laundry room is currently being renovated and we have tried a couple laundromats and decided to try this one out since it was closer to home. It overall was horrible. The lady with the son was a b word and let's keep it at that. The machine ate my money and two people witnessed it and when i went to her she had her son translate to me that it was pretty much my fault and the machine is correct. First thing first in any business you should at least listen to the customer before telling them to pretty much F off and that they are wrong. I don't know. Not a fan. Reasonably priced although there are cheaper places their machines are just newer. Yes, this place is very clean, and the machines are newer, BUT this is not a place I will return to again. I used to go to a place on Reseda Blvd., much cheaper, and yes, not nearly as clean, BUT I will return there. The dryers here at Maytag take FOREVER to dry and end up costing twice as much because of that. In addition, it has very few carts, is very crowded, and the parking is a nightmare. I will not return, and this has nothing to do with the higher cost. Overall, not a nice experience. read more

I've been coming here on and off for quite some time. The machines were ok. The smallest load was $1.25. And the guy was friendly. There was one time that the water that came out from the smallest washer smelled like a sewer. The guy gave me $1.25 to compensate for it.But today will be my last time to come here. I don't think the machine that I used (the $2.50) washed my towels well. I didn't see any soap suds, my towels smelled like bleach( I didn't add any bleach and the soap didn't have any too) and it didn't spin well. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know if it got spun or not. So I told the guy and he said "oh yeah! It's wet that's normal." I was like. I said " my towels are still heavy and wet". He went" look your white shirts are not that wet". Omg how can you argue with that kind of logic??? So I took a deep breath and just loaded everything in 2 separate dryers. Because it won't get dry in just 1 machine. So more $$$ to be used here. What a rip off!!!! Oh btw, the smallest washer is $ 2.00 now. And it's still the same machine. The place is clean, most of the staff is nice, the rest... eh.... This place has pretty good equipment, but the small rating is because it's TOO SMALL. if you are unfortunate enough to get stuck there with the CSUN crowd in there, you're going to be jammed into a small area trying to find one of the scattered machines available, walking around the students talking and not emptying the driers. All in all, if you can be there at a quiet time, you're going to be alright and you'll be able to do what you want. read more
