Love this place! Very friendly and experienced. My family was recently hit with a disaster and we needed everything in our home cleaned. I can't began to tell you the trauma I was going through. On top of everything going on I need to deal with cleaning all our clothes. I found M & F online, it felt like I hit the jackpot. They had a guy come out and give me a estimate of cost. My greatest needs from a laundry service provider were pickup & delivery and clothing care (no shrinkage to sheets, color fading or missing items). Right from the start, I was super impressed with M & F Laundry. Their pricing was affordable and made it feasible to use for all my laundry (and dry cleaning) needs. Harry adds a convenience factor, which is hard to beat in the chaotic schedules we keep today - flexible with scheduling, prompt deliveries, emails/phone calls to schedule/remind you of pickups/delivers, etc.....unbeatable customer service! I guess the most wonderful surprise, was how simply fabulous your clean laundry returns to you! I'm sorry, but I truly can not recommend this place. I won't say any other review is wrong, but my experience was far from even good. Here's my story, all facts. I tried M&F laundry, and was disappointed that they were cash only, but hey, small business, no big deal. I took them a suit or 2, got them back, and they were clean and smelled fine, but were not ironed or pressed AT ALL. A little shocking, but maybe it was a mistake. Things can be missed, and I always give small local businesses a second chance. So I go back a second time with 2 suits. I tell them I really need them done by my off day which was Thursday, and they said that was no problem at all. Thursday comes, and my suits are ready! Thank goodness... Right? Wrong. They call me, tell me that they are closing at 1 instead of 2 that day, so to please pick them up. Why they aren't staying open for their posted business hours? I'm not sure. Anyways, oh well, I show up BEFORE NOON, well over an hour before 1. Every light was off, and the door was locked. So obviously I call the guy and he says "OH no, let me call one of the ladies, I'll call you back". Never an apology. He calls me back and says "she'll be back within 5 minutes"... So I wait outside. 5 minutes go by. Then 10. And finally 15 minutes later a lady comes, opens the door, and hands me the suits. Hardly says a word to me. No payment was taken, and I'll admit, that was the last thing on my mind after that experience. Then I get a phone call when I'm out of town from the same guy, saying that they never received payment, so I must go back in to pay. Are you serious? You guys make 2 mistakes back to back and waste my time, and want me to drive over AGAIN to pay you? That's what I thought, but I said that was fine, but it would take a while because I had a lot going on that I'd be out of town for. He said that was fine. If only it was. I probably received closed to a DOZEN calls from him trying to get his money. One time a relative picked up and put them on speaker, and he said "we really need Christian to call us back, he owes us some money, we want to settle the balance". What in the world? My relative looked at me like I owed someone bad some money, and when I explained to them the situation, they asked why in the world M&F laundry said that and sounded like that, and why not just say Christian owes his dry cleaners for 2 suits. Very embarrassing. THEN I have another relative deliver $20, which they did, to a lady that they said hardly spoke and said really no English (which is fine, I only bring that up because it confirms it was the same lady who handed me the suits) and she apparently grabbed the money and put it in a pocket. Interesting. After a while, and after I was done with my busy schedule, the calls resume. So I answer and tell them that I told them it'd be a while, so why in the world are they calling so much and what not. They say they haven't received there payment for the 4 suits. Um excuse me? 4 suits? I put in 2! AND I left you guys $20 which was MORE than 2 suits cost to be cleaned there!! Not saying the lady stole it, but maybe it was misplaced somewhere, or she thought it was a tip?? Now I'm upset. So I calmly recap the entire situation and ask him if this is how they do business. They said "it's not, so I'll tell you what. How about we just take your card information over the phone for 2 suits and call it even." What the actual heck. First of all, I thought you guys were cash only? Secondly, That's not calling it even! I already over paid you for 2 suits! That's you guys making MORE than double at my expense. He tells me to "think about it" and call him in a couple days. So I do, and I call back 2 days later with the resolve of coming down there and paying the balance of the 4 suits minus the $20 I already paid. Fair right? Considering I didn't even have 4 suits, and they have no ticket with any proof of suit colors or models or anything, which every other cleaner I've been to has. I call twice, and now no answer. How did this nightmare end? With a voice message from the manager saying "wether it was 2 suits or 4, you paid or didn't pay, forget this ever happened." Again, no apology. The benefit of small local businesses is normally their customer service, but this was the worst I'd ever received, especially over such little money and NO mistakes of my own. Very sad. read more

What a great Place finally a laundry that does not rip your cloths and you off at the same time! We were looking out for a laundry that is affordable and honest. After trying out many and actually being cheated by many launderers we came across M&F. Harry was fantastic he was helpful and advised us on what we needed to do with our cloths. He recommended the ones that needed to dry cleaning and the ones that just needed to be washed and pressed. He saved us a bunch of money and has secured our repeat business to him. I have been coming here for about 6 months now bi-weekly and I am officially done. My past 3 experiences have been not so pleasant. Just to mention I have payed with card since day one. I dropped off 4 suits for work on early Monday morning and said I would need them by Wednesday for work. I was told there would be an additional charge per item for rush order, understandable. I get a call Wednesday morning and was informed my suits would not be ready until Thursday. At this point I have no suits for work. Big let down. Thursday I get a call my suits are ready. I get to the store at about 11:30am and they are closed. I call Harry and he sent someone over after waiting 10minutes out front. I am now extremely frustrated and when I go to pay for my suits I was informed only payment method was cash only. What a nightmare. I decide I'll come back after a month. Every place deserves a second chance. Now this time around I leave my suits at about 8:30a on Monday and will NEED my suits ready by Wednesday for work. Just like I've always done. I get a call on Wednesday morning that my suits are again incomplete. At least they didn't leave me without a suit for work. If you need dry cleaning done on time or rush service this is not the place. This is the second time in a row they dropped the ball. I won't be coming back. There are many more cleaners in Canoga Park that can get you your items on time. Only good thing I can say is Harry is very polite and friendly. read more

I needed a blouse dry cleaned and wanted to use a "mom & pop" dry cleaners that was close to me. I decided to give these guys a try. For one thing, their hours are so erratic (don't trust the M-F 7AM-2PM), it took me more than three calls and going to the place to see if they were open to actually get someone on their way out before I could drop off a single item. Luckily I wasn't in a hurry to get the blouse cleaned! When I did get a person, they were friendly and personable. My Gripes( besides the erratic hour): I was told my blouse would be ready in 1 week and 2 days (i.e. 9 days); which wasn't bad since I didn't need it right away. I ended up calling a day before to see if it would be ready to pick up on the day they promised it & they said it would be one more day. The more important thing (in my opinion) is that when I asked if they preformed the dry cleaning on site, I was told "yes", even though the place was very small & there were no other workers present at the drop off time (which I thought was weird). It turns out they DON'T perform the cleaning there-they send just about everything out to a warehouse location and shlep it all back to Canoga Park or deliver your items to you. I can't complain about the price or the quality--they're both good (probably the best in the neighborhood). But if you need garments professionally cleaned on the spot and in a timely manner I'd probably search for another location that does just that. This place specializes in hospitals, sheets, curtains & motels (AKA large pieces that have high turn over & many items at a time). read more

I was recently referred to m & f laundry during a bed bug inspection by a very nice terminix inspector. M & F specializes in "bulk" cleaning. I called as soon as I got the number and right away Harry was so pleasant and understanding. He pretty much is a no bull guy, totally face value. After speaking with Harry about my issue he made some very good suggestions based on my specific situation, arranged a pick up of all of out clothing, linens, towels and our child's stuffed animals. He arrived on time and made the pick up as easy fore and husband as possible. He called a few hours later to let me know the status since most of our stuff is fluff and foold which is priced by weight. He then called me back the same day when everything was weighed and sorted with a lower weight then the estate from before... Honest! He discountedy husbands marine corp dress blues as a way of showing his gratitude for my husbands service... Super sweet. Originally he told me out stuff should be ready with in 3 to 5 days... He callse Tuesday morningto let me know everything is ready and we make arrangements for the drop off at a convinent time for me. In my battle with bed bugs Harry and M & F have been the best thing to happen to me. I highly highly recommend their service and treatment of your clothes, linens and stuffies if you are in the same predicament as I am. You can rest assured that your clothes will be treated with care and will not come back with bugs or bug eggs. Harry, thank you for everything.
