Walked in and it wasn't busy but there were kiosk to order from. It would have been nice to be greeted but overall the inside looks nice. There are a lot of seating options and their menu has vegetarian options and meet options as well. Been to the one in Lincoln park and it's really nice. Wow Mazala's pizzas are insanely delicious!! We got two 8" personal naan pizzas for 2 people and shared. The butter chicken pizza was so yummy, lots of curry deliciousness with mozzarella and paneer cheeses! And the palak paneer pizza was just as tasty, the spinach base with plenty of paneer chunks, yummm. Both pizzas naan bread was very good, and they came with a garlic cream sauce that was a genius inclusion. I ordered from their website, it was ready in under 10 min. We ate at home but the servers were nice when I picked it up, the restaurant had some tables to dine in. I'd recommend a salad or small app before eating to be fully full, the pizzas were decent but a salad helped. Oh and the pizza boxes are really cool inside, with games! We hit up Mazala for some late night dinner and, being that walkable options downtown were few, fusion Indian sounded amazing. I try not to be one of the last customers before closing, so maybe it was our bad for showing up in the last 45 minutes of service. All the same, the quality of the food shouldn't suffer. I got lamb tacos, the flavor of which was pretty good but the meat was overcooked and the tortilla was gummy with a stale texture. On the other hand, my friend's burrito was sloppy and surprisingly bland with meat that was definitely precooked earlier in the day. I am still confused as to what the restaurant's actual name is. I've seen Moti Cafe and Masala Pizza. Regardless, we ordered the elote masala paneer pizza on naan, which was not the best. The flavors just did not seem to go well. We, also, ordered the tikka masala paneer pizza, which was much better. This was very good. Both pizzas came with house seasoning packets, but all our packets were empty with nothing in it. The veggie momos was very bad; I couldn't eat it and gave it to my husband to finish. The mango lassi and rose lassi are overly fragrant and seemed to just be missing the "lassi" part of the drink. I would go back and order the tikka masala paneer pizza again but probably won't be getting anything else there. read more

What a gem! I stumble upon the food menu online and I was instantly intrigued and had to visit. The inside is relatively small with a few tables and window seating. In the summer, I believe there is outside seating. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We tried the vada pav pizza, chicken tikka masala curry, and tikka masala momos. The pizza was incredible - the different flavors from the tikka masala, potato, onions, and green chutney came together perfectly. The momos reminded me of East Asian soup dumplings with a delicious sauce. The curry was creamy and flavorful. I already want to go back to try the other pizza flavors - how will I choose which one? Happy to report that Masala Pizza is just as delicious as it sounds! This place has a variety of options, including make-your-own bowls/wraps, chaat, and pizzas. We got a pie that was half Paneer Tikka and half Veg Manchurian, and both were fantastic. The Veg Manchurian was topped with plenty of manchurian bits and a classic Indo-Chinese Schezuan sauce (slightly spicy), while the Paneer Tikka was paneer, some chopped up veggies, and green chutney. We were greeted with a welcoming hello by the employee who was working the cash register, the greeting party, the cook, and still took time to explain to us the whole menu. I forgot to mention that he was also helping the customers in front of us. I feel bad because of all the conversations we had with him. I forgot his name. All the food was great. The masala fries are a must try, but my cholesterol was telling me no. My wife loved her tikka bowl and tried to finish it all, but was unsuccessful. I tried the sweet chilli momos without onions. The taste and texture were outstanding. Next time, I will try it with a different sauce. I'm not a big fan of sweet tasting sauces. The whole experience was great, and we left with leftovers. All way, be open to new and different experiences because we had just landed in Chicago, and we were hungry and had time to kill before our Airbnb was ready. This is a nice casual dining spot and also looked like a popular place for to go orders. We came here to get masala chai as my friend was missing home made tea. She said the tea was pretty good and gave it a 4/5. It looked to be a good portion size especially for the price. I ordered the rose lassi which was very good, wasn't too sweet or over flavored. It was a little thicker than most lassi drinks I've had so it wasn't the easiest to drink. I also order the vada pav, it was a good portion size and very well flavored. My boyfriend and I just realized how close Moti is located to Studio 3 and that is not a good thing! Haha this could be our "treat yourself after a HIIT class" meal! Moti has a good Indian-fusion menu. We ordered 2 Vada Pav's which were pretty huge. Vada Pav is a traditional Western Indian dish, it is bread with fried potatoes, I'd say its taste is pretty close to the authentic taste. We also ordered a Paneer Tikka Masala pizza with the gluten-free crust. They have a lot of Vegetarian options but not a lot of Vegan options. It would have been nice to replace Paneer with Tofu! I opted for a Paneer pizza assuming I can remove the paneer pieces from the pizza, however, they had shredded paneer which made it slightly difficult to get rid off (the shredded paneer enhanced the taste tho) The moti sauce is also really good, which surely made the pizza quite tasty! Moti is a good Indian restaurant with not so fancy ambiance but it is still pretty good! I hate the fact that they don't have water fountains/ offer water on tap. In my opinion, the food from Moti is the closest you can get to Indian street food. The vada pav is mid, but no one other place has come this close to resembling the flavor. The paneer slider are my absolute favorite. So yummy! They are good as quick bites to eat before you dig into the yummy pizza from Moti. The next highlight is definitely the paneer tikka pizza. Omg, so yummy and go good! I also love the sauce that comes with the pizza. The momos are below average in my opinion, especially the sweet chili momos. I've been to the Moti location in Glenview, and we had a great food experience there. We had a couple of letdowns at this location however. We were looking forward to eating the Paneer Masala Elote Naan Pizza, but as we were in the middle of eating, I realized there wasn't any corn on our pizza. They must have misheard us and gave us the Paneer Tikka Naan Pizza instead. We perused the menu board in the restaurant and ended up ordering the Moti Fries; there was no spicy indicator next to this menu item, but it ended up being too spicy for us to enjoy. Finally, we ordered Mango Lassis as they were listed on a sign outside the restaurant as being on special today. He rang it up as full price, so we had to ask for an adjustment. Seating inside is limited. Despite the missteps, I would return again and just try to order something that better suits our tastes. read more
