Our group ordered a variety of food options...chicken taquitos, seafood burrito, combo platter with an enchilada and tacos, and shrimp in a creamy cheesy white sauce over rice. Everyone loved their food. They did a great job of keeping our chips and salsa refilled as well. Prices are reasonable and portions large. The restaurant has authentic Mexican decor. Tried Mazatlan Mexican Restaurant and went with the pork carnitas. The pork was really well done--tender, juicy, and packed with that slow-cooked flavor you want from carnitas. This is not Mexican food. To call it Mexican food is an insult to my culture. The prices are outrageous and the service is terrible. They upcharged me without warning nor was it stated on the menu. When I told them they should tell their customers about upcharges. The manager or whoever he is argued that it's on the menu. I grabbed a menu and showed him and he STILL argued and said that I was just there trying to get free food, which is laughable because he had already ran my card. He would much rather try to prove a customer wrong and embarrass himself then behave like some form of management. If you want Mexican food, don't go here, you're better off going to Taco Bell tbh. Went to Mazatlan Mexican Restaurant because I saw the menu online and got hungry just by looking at them lol. My husband and I got there an hour before closing so we were the only ones there but mins later another couple showed up. The staff was super friendly, got our drink order and then our food order. Everything was super quick. The food did not disappoint neither did the drinks. For our drinks we both got Micheladas, food wise I ordered the parrillada and husband got the fajita taco salad. This review is specifically for the Mazatlan located at King City near Tigard. Not to be confused with the other Mazatlan further North in Tigard, or the one further South in Sherwood. I frequently go here for the lunch special. I usually order the chicken enchilada meal which as a lunch special has two enchiladas, beans and rice as well as nice warm tortilla chips and a choice of mild or hot salsa. Everything is always very tasty and the service is excellent. They never substitute spicy salsa for the mild and they never serve me a diet soda when I order a regular one. The enchiladas are very well cooked and the seasoning is perfect. My reason for not giving 5 full stars is that the prices keep going up and even as a lunch special it is getting to be more expensive than I want to spend. read more

Sat outside with my dogs. The waiter got my order wrong and brought out hard shell tacos instead of soft shell. I asked how much a Corona Lite would cost, and at $6, that was way too much. The food was pretty good, a LOT of good clean meat in the tacos. After the waiter delivered the correct food, he never showed his face again for the next 30 mins that I sat there and ate. The busboy was a charming delight, however, as he was friendly and happy to help. He got my refills, extra napkins, and eventually my bill. So for me, 2 stars for the food. Fantastic nachos! I have certainly had/made better nachos.... but I've more often had worse than these. I enjoyed them enough that after I enjoyed the $10 "nachos mazatlan", I ordered the $9 super nachos. I also ate 5 bowls of their salsa and two bowls of chips. :) I suppose you could say I enjoyed their chips. I'd recommend a stop here to anyone passing by. The staff were very courteous and attentive. I like that they serve water in pretty big cups, and mine was never empty. My first impression three steps through the front door was, this Mexican restaurant has cute decor on the inside. Our server was friendly and the margaritas are huge for ordering a medium size. One small complaint the margaritas are on the sweet side for our tastes. They were $8 each. My date ordered chicken enchilada and a chile relleno and I ordered the enchilada and tostada both chicken. We have waited longer for tacos at Tacobell, wow service was fast as a lizard catching a fly! Granted they weren't too busy on a Monday at 2pm. Chile rellenos was in the category of the scrambled egg version. My date says she's had better, and worse. I enjoyed both my items but it was way too much to eat in one sitting. The rice was great. Only complaint other than the margaritas being a little too sweet would be that the beans were too much on the runny side. None of our minor complaints are enough to give just 4 stars, I give 5 and would be happy to come back. read more

This Mexican restaurant came recommended by my family in the area and the food and service did not disappoint. We were seated immediately on a Friday night and our margaritas were served up amazingly fast. Chips with hot and spicy salsa was served and we enjoyed guacamole, which was creamy and flavorful. I personally was not crazy about the salsas but others seemed to enjoy the spiciest one the best. I had the chicken chalupa combo and it was delicious. Very impressed with the Mexican rice and refried beans which I usually leave untouched but managed to nearly finish it this time because they were delicious. Also enjoyed at our table were vegetarian tacos and the fajitas supreme. Most everyone had leftovers to take home. Great prices, generous portions, nice flavors and friendly service always make for the perfect combination dining out. Best part of the experience was the service which was top notch. I know that cheese enchiladas are a pretty easy dish. take your tortilla, throw some shredded cheese in it, roll it up, place on plate, sandwich between a huge serving of refried beans, and a healthy portion of rice, and then pour some sauce over it. But I have never gotten my food so quickly! And while this is most impressive, this isn't even the best thing about Mazatlan! Their salsa! They make their own salsa. Thank you! Thank you so much.
