I would like to amend my review of Mazda of Kent. Earlier I only had good things to say about the dealership except for Max. I spoke with Max this afternoon and learned this was all a misunderstanding. The problem was he never told me he was working behind the scenes to fix my issue. He just never called me to explain what he was doing, so I assumed he just blew me off. Again, I want to apologize to Max, but I hope he will keep customers informed as he goes. Overall feeling after trying to buy a cx50. Their scamy. They would rather sell a 2026 cx50 hybrid pp from Pennsylvania vs the exact one I wanted that was in Brunswick Ohio. Then hit me with a 1000 transport fee and other $2000 features I rejected many many times. Just go to Brunswick Mazda. They are down to earth and a lot a lot more willing to deal when compared to this scam dealer. read more

Just had my CX-50 serviced for the second time here at Mazda of Kent. Making the appointment was brainless, i got a confirmation, the option to put it in my calendar and since this is the second out of three that are free, even better. If you need to be somewhere (within 5 miles) while you car is in service they have a shuttle service! AND..... the guy who drove the shuttle car was one of the neatest acquaintances i have had in years. This guy cool. He knew a lot of the history of Kent/Stow and it just came out in the conversation. Way to cool of an experience. The service manager was on the ball. Had me in and out in a meter of just minutes. This is a well oiled machine Thanks guys! I'll be back in 5k. read more

ZERO STARS. Dishonest and Untrustworthy. I purchased a Mercedes from this Mazda dealership 3 years ago. The person handling the final sales sold me an extended warranty that was promised to be accepted everywhere and promised to cover the car an ADDITIONAL 60k/60months. 3 YEARS LATER.... - BOTH PROMISES TURNED OUT TO BE COMPLETELY FALSE. - conveniently, they don't "offer that warranty anymore." Since March 2025, I pleaded with the dealer and the salesperson (Ron) to comprise and make some corrective actions on this situation. All they did was give me the runaround and I HAVE PROOF. They might comment at the bottom and say otherwise, but if this review is up here, it means they still have provided ZERO SOLUTIONS. And yes, I am pursuing legal action. read more

Sure they have great deals, great cars, great workers and hospitality. But god forbid you need an oil change. They will take well over a hour to even start working on your car. They will work on other cars before yours that showed up 30 mins to a hour after you. Its not common sense to know how long an oil change realistically takes. And for time stamps i got here at 8:25am and the appointment was set up for 8:30am (was called in advance for appointment). It is now currently 9:30am and my car hasn't even been taken back yet to be worked on, but there has already been one car that was finished and now two cars that are being worked on that had showed well after i did. Very unprofessional, very disappointing in the lack of common sense to work down the line of what is there first and last. First, I want to acknowledge Zach (sales) at Mazda--he was absolutely fantastic to work with. However, my experience after the sale is where things went downhill, and why I cannot recommend Mazda of Kent as a dealership I would work with again. I purchased a car that was still under warranty and also added a service package. Within days of buying the car, I started receiving a "Smart Brake" error message. It happened sporadically, making it impossible to predict when it would occur. When I called the dealership, I was told to wash the car, as it was likely a sensor issue. I had already washed the car a few days prior, but I did it again--despite there being no rain or snow at the time. The error persisted. I then took the car to Mazda Service, where they kept it for a few days but couldn't get the error to appear. Instead, they suggested it was "operator error," claiming I was pressing the brake and gas at the same time. That was absolutely not the case. A few days later, the error happened again. This time, I drove straight to the dealership so they could see the message in real-time and run diagnostics. A few days later, I brought the car in again, and once more, they couldn't replicate the issue. Fast forward to the third time--it happened again. This time, they kept my car for over three weeks. During this period, I received no updates unless I reached out first. Every single week, I had to call for an update, only to be told they still couldn't replicate the error and had other cars to work on. While I understand they have other vehicles in service, putting mine on the back burner because they were "baffled" is not acceptable. I did receive a loaner car, which I appreciated and expressed gratitude for multiple times. After three weeks with no proactive communication, I had to call yet again. Only then was I told, "Oh, I just got the paperwork last night and was going to call you. Your car is ready for pickup." Naturally, I asked what the issue was and what had been done to fix it. The service rep simply said they had spoken with Mazda techs multiple times. When I pressed for specifics on the fix, I was told, "This is just an issue that happens--it's probably dirt." This was incredibly frustrating because I had already thoroughly cleaned the car, yet the issue persisted. Additionally, when the error occurs, it disables the cruise control, which affects the car's functionality. I pointed this out, only to be told there was nothing more they were going to do. When I picked up the car, no one explained what had been done during the three weeks it was in service. Later that evening, I received a text stating that a technician would send me a video explaining what had been worked on. 3 weeks later--still no video. Adding to my frustration, when I spoke to the service rep on the phone, I mentioned that I had spoken to an attorney to inquire about Ohio's Lemon Law. The response? "I'm not talking to you anymore," followed by hanging up on me. While it's policy not to speak to someone who has retained an attorney, that does not apply when someone simply consults one. At no point did they attempt solutions such as replacing the sensor or camera--they just chalked it up to a known issue I took the car to a different Mazda dealer and in 2.5 hours they were able to tell me that there was an issue with the camera and it would need replaced! WOW!!! So I bought a new car wasted over a month of having it in the shop each time being told nothing they can do is no issue and come to find out there was a big issue! WOW Needless to say, this experience has been extremely frustrating, and I will not be returning to this dealership. I've purchased multiple cars before and have always had positive experiences--this one, however, has completely shaken my trust. I would never want anyone else to go through what I did and can't say that I would recommend this particular dealership. I would suggest that you look elsewhere first before starting here. Level of customer service and professionalism is lacking. Funny thing I wrote this review on google and got a response saying Zach is one of our bests yet Zack is no longer there he left weeks ago.... Which means AI is answering reviews so shows you that this particular dealer is not interested in customers.... Crazy I also would like to add because they wasted so much time they wore out my warranty that was still on the car - Luckily the second dealership took the case to the warranty department and fought for me and Mazda agreed to cover it. I had worked out a deal with one of the salespeople for a Honda CRV hybrid. I informed the salesperson that I was coming in to finalize the deal and he acknowledged that I would be in shortly. When I arrived, I was told that someone else was on their way to purchase the car and was coming from a long distance away from the dealership. They had been promised the car for that reason and without regard to my deal. Apparently, that salesperson wasn't aware of my deal. So, instead of making that person buy a different vehicle, I was told I had to select something else. Because the financing was already in place, I couldn't just walk away. I wasn't thrilled but we did at least get a good car. However, while I was at the dealership, the couple that got my previous deal did arrive. They were seated behind us (sales deals are all done at desks very near each other. Uncomfortably near each other). Their salesperson wasn't aware that we were the couple that originally had the deal as he felt it OK to tell his couple that he wasn't going to hold a car for someone who was local and claimed to be coming in because they probably weren't. I let my salesperson know about that conversation and that I was even more unhappy with the situation. Nothing came of that. No apologies. Nothing. Heck, I had bought a Tesla and even though they gave it a charge, they barely gave it enough to get home. I only live 30 miles away. After everything else, they could have given it more power. And then to add icing to the cake, they sent me an email stating I needed to come in for my first oil change. It's a Tesla. It doesn't have oil. They're not only unapologetic and unscrupulous, but they're also clueless. I don't recommend. read more

I knew exactly which car I wanted and put in a message online the same Friday it was listed. Marc called me within a few hours- definitely after normal business hours- and set up a tentative test drive on Monday. That Monday (Memorial Day), we ended up test driving the vehicle and went through the process of signing/financing all in one go. There was never any pressure from anybody. Marc let me pull into a parking lot to really get a feel for the parking camera as it was different than my prior car, showed me what options he could, and was honest in the information he could not provide given the car had been in their lot for only a day or so! There was no faking it or blowing smoke. Another gentleman and Andrew helped arrange the monthly payment into the one I'd come with in mind. Andrew calmly answered my questions and also allowed me time to sit in his office and do some mental math and other decision making so I didn't feel rushed. Updating my review until there is an acceptable resolution: Mazda of Kent I'm really disappointed in the service that has not been provided to us. We purchased a 2020 Ford Ecosport on May 23, 2024. Now mind you I've been talking with Quinn aince May 18th on this. We delivered a $400 deposit the day before to hold the vehicle for sale. We checked the vehicle out and everything seemed good to go. Upon signing the contract we provided an additional $600 down payment totaling $1000 for this vehicle. We drove off the lot and realized the mileage did not match what was told to us. They put us in a 2018 Ford ecosport. We took the car back and immediately they were apologetic and telling us the car we bought was in Bedford and would back tomorrow 5/24/2024. Now I've been been in Talks about this car with Quinn for 6 days!!! Yes 6 days and they didn't know the vehicle wasnt on the lot for sale!!!! They put us in a rental car for the inconvenience. Here we are 11 days later and still no 2020 Ford Exosport. They offered compensation for the ordeal still haven't seen that and alI I get told is we'll check on the status of the car and then hear nothing back. Come to find out the finance manager Jeremy entered things wrong and now the lender has to rewrite the loan due to the dealerships mistakes. I have to constantly reach out to get answers. No one will keep in contact with me because they have our money now. Services and goods have not been rendered. Im sure they are tired of hearing from me, but you know what I'm tired of not having what we signed for!!!! I purchased a 2020 Land Rover from this dealership with only 50,000 miles on it. Prior to coming and I had ask the sales person if they ran it through service and did it need anything and what did they do to it and they said they did run it through service and the only thing that needed was a new battery. After agreeing to numbers through the phone I scheduled a time to come look at the vehicle and purchase it. Upon arriving when I first started the vehicle I saw that an airbag light was on when the sales person checked with service they already knew about it and had an appointment to get it fixed yet he didn't say anything about that in the initial conversations about the vehicles service. They agreed to take care of it since it was a safety issue which seemed to be important to them that safety issues were fixed. They claimed that was covered under warranty as well. The salesman said since it was a black vehicle he wasn't going to wash it so I believe he did that to hide the fact that on the first time I drove the vehicle in the rain water was coming through the whole top of the windshield and hitting me in the face. I sent a text to him about the windshield leak and he almost immediately responded with there is a service bulletin out on windshields and that LanRover would likely fix it for free. I find it funny that a Mazda dealer knows the service bulletins off the top of their head, it's more likely he knew about the leaky windshield and that's why he didn't wash the vehicle. I made a appointment at Land Rover of Solon for the airbag and the windshield and when I brought it in they do a complementary inspection and they told me that the vehicle has bad brakes all the way around. So to a dealer that seems to be worried about selling safe vehicles they let me take a vehicle home with a bad airbag, leaky windshield, and bad brakes. This is unacceptable customer service this is unacceptable etiquette and everybody needs to know that this is the way the dealer operates. They sold me a unsafe vehicle that needs thousands of dollars in brakes also the airbag they claimed was under warranty was not read more

If you want an oil change and tire rotation that takes almost 3 hours then this is the place for you

We went to this dealership and purchased a vehicle for over 9,000.00 dollars from them, it ran for about 90 days and completely quit. We found out that the timing chain was bad even though the carfax had that the timing chain was just replaced 6 months previously so we ask if they could meet us in the middle to get the repairs done because we only had the vehicle for three months, but they offered three hundred dollars off of the 3,000.00 dollars of repairs. I will never walk into this business and purchase another vehicle and will strongly suggest you do not either. Maybe it's just me but I think a vehicle you pay 9,500.00 for should run a lot longer then 90 days! I had no choice but give them one star just to share our experience with Mazda of Kent! read more

I made an purchase agreement with salesperson to by a used vehicle. We agreed on price over the phone that morning at 9:30, I was 550 miles away. Gave him my bank information and told me I had bought vehicle. We were making arrangements with salesperson to have a transport company give price on delivering and said would get back with me on that price for delivering vehicle, and payment paperwork for deal. I get a call ,after later that day late afternoon, he is sorry but it was sold that afternoon. The dealership after agreeing to sell to me and telling me I bought it, sold it to another person.Not sure if they were making more on deal to someone else, or what reason they took a deal after agreeing to sell it to me. This is not a way to do business after you agree to sell the car to someone, then hours later take another deal for whatever reason.Maybe not a friend or local person. They should of told the person that shopped in the afternoon that it was sold, not call me up an apologize that car got sold by mistake. Does not make sense. Do not by on line with this dealership . Can not be trusted over the phone with what they tell you. I am a easy going person , but was really saddened by how they treated me.
