    Partially eaten chicken kabob :)
    Dee A.

This restaurant isn't far from work but I have not gone as much as I once did. I wanted to come on and compliment George who's been our waiter for the third time on today's visit. He's phenomenal and very observant. He ensures you have everything you need and has a great memory. Today, I had the chicken kabob for the first time in a while. It was seasoned perfectly with the roasted vegetables to complement it. It was a perfect amount and the prices are right! The ambiance is still very chic and I'd love to come on a weekend with friends if I'm ever in the city.

Chilean Sea bass was cooked perfectly and the flavor was balanced with the spinach, carrots, and rice. The lamb burger was also at the perfect temperature to remain juicy. The cocktails were OK. One thing that could be improved is getting our entrees later so that it's not getting cold while we finish our appetizer. The service was good and the ambiance was casual nice. Overall, I would come back for the food.

10/10 It's been a minute since I've enjoyed a dining experience this much and could say I'll be back for sure. All the staff were lovely and inviting. We had early bird resis at 5:30 on a Saturday and had the place to ourselves when we rolled up at 5. The meal and service was just the right pace of relaxed and all the food was delicious. The saganaki was the best I've ever had. Lamb kabob was so good w perfect veggies. The carrots were a pleasant surprise. We even had desert! Everyone all but licked their plates. Can't wait to come back.

Mazi was conveniently located with patio seating and dimly lit restaurant with great service and fantastic food! Ambiance 5/5 Very beautiful comfortable seating with mixed cushioned benched seating on one side with chairs on the other. Although the restaurant was packed- it was very moderate noise level and waiters were very atentative. Food/ Service: 5/5 Service was A1 and very personable. We had a lot of people and they were very accommodating even w/ late arrivals. It a large group of us and we had great appetizers from the Brussel sprouts which were delicious, lamb chops were succulent, dessert excellent and drinks were refreshing- not too strong. Price N/A Meal was comped by the fellowship. Overall 5/5 Very great ambiance, experience, and unforgettable memories!

I stopped in here just after 4 PM . . . I was the only person in the place . . . to the point that I checked to make sure they were open. The man who greeted me (which may have been a host, but I think he was a server) was kind and funny. He said, "Oh, you've come to keep us company!" The restaurant is open and bright, modern fixtures. Greek-leaning food. Starters include honey feta cheese, halloumi cheese bruschetta, lamb cubes, pork belly, calamari, Brussels sprouts. I had the Halloumi cheese at the recommendation of the server. It wasn't bad . . . I think I would have rather had the pork belly. That being said, I'm not sure the server was invested in making good recs, and I think he was recommending popular things, not things he personally liked. I had the NY strip for my entree, with rosemary, garlic butter, roasted potatoes, and veggies. It wasn't great, it wasn't bad. Flavor was lacking. They also serve salmon, chilean sea bass, pork souvlaki, pork chops, pasta, and salads. I had a couple of cocktails, none of which were super memorable or impressive. I would stick with wine here. The main downer for me was the service. I'm pretty sure I got a guy at the end of his shift who was checked out (he spent most of his time in the back watching something on his phone). I don't need a ton of fluffing or attention, but this guy didn't care at all. The server who came on behind him was much nicer. Not a bad place, but I've had better food and better cocktails and better service, so no reason to return.

In January, whilst with my proper friends, we ventured to Mazi. It was EMPTY! However, we had early lunch reservations on a Saturday before Spa Day in the city. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass that was cracked and served that way. Ewwwww! Plating people, plating is Everything! My meal also needed salt or something, a prayer from ancestors??? Not sure but it didn't hit the mark for me. Although I've heard great things about Mazi I just didn't like it. The Cesar also needed salt and pepper. The Ambiance is nice, it was super super quite in there. One patron was at the bar and it was her go to spot. We struck up a conversation, had it not been for her ranting and raving I may have given Mazi a 1 or 2 star review. However, I'll try again for round two to see if my outing was just a one off. Sorry for not having more photos, my proper friends don't Yelp and it would be less than proper to dine with your phone out. I snuck these photos while pretending to Google something super proper.

Visited Mazi with my family on our trip to Washington DC. Wonderful experience! The restaurant was crowded yet not loud. We started with the bruschetta, and we each had a different meal that everyone raved about and enjoyed. My grilled salmon was flaky and cooked to perfection. Our waiter, Jairon, was very friendly and attentive. A bonus that our water glasses were repeatedly filled on such a hot evening. Definitely recommend!

Does the outdoor seating have heaters for colder weather?

I am afraid we do not.

    Is there parking?

    Street parking

Is it a noisy place? Looking for something where the sound isn't bouncing off the walls

Any place can get noisy when its full. The one time I went was later in the evening and it was relatively quiet. We were a table of 10 and didn't need to raise our voices to speak to people at either end of the table.

    Is the patio dog friendly?

    No patio for dogs

Do you have a happy hour, and if so what day/times?

Thank you for reaching out, Rhiannon! We do not have a happy hour! Let us know if there is anything else you want to know!

Is there a dessert menu? Not seeing one on website or in yelp photos

We do have three choices of dessert. Key lime pie, tiramisu and chocolate lave.

    Are there any vegan options?

Yes, I believe there are vegan options. Check out their menu on the Yelp site. On a nice day I would recommend sitting outside too! Enjoy😊

Not saying that dining companions are distracting, but I felt like I could fully experience the flavor of both the Taglioni Neri and Gnocchi, both half portions at $10 each, better on my own. When the dishes came, I saw that the sauces were both red and feared they would taste too similar. After one fork full of each, they are quite clearly distinct. The standout in the Neri were the shellfish for me. Even though they were small bits, the pieces tasted fresh. In the Gnocchi, the saltiness of the prosciutto, though not overwhelming, paired well with the basil sauce. I finished a little more than half of each plate before boxing it up for a small lunch the next day. The service was great and the tall ceiling and windowed dining room provided a nice atmosphere. It was a cloudy and rainy Memorial Day, but I wondered what the sunlight looked like shining through those high windows. How lovely a space they have created to enjoy fine Italian dining in.

Bites: there weren't much to eat at martini hour so we moved to the general area afterwards to enjoy some food. Service: the staff was amazing and very accommodating. Shoutout to Nesto, the best bartender around! Martinis: Morini Martini: I absolutely love this drink. It was crisp, refreshing, and had a little bold flavors from the white pepper. I absolutely loved this drink and would get it again Sicilian Martini: another fav! Think summer time refreshing with a hint of sweet and citrus burst from the mandarin and lemon Espresso Martini: this drink was another great selection. Freshly brewed and perfectly prepared. I loved it Least favorite: Cala Rossa. I only disliked the drink because it was very sugary and I don't really enjoy sugary drinks. Food: Rigatoni: this dish was divine! And quick note, the smaller plates were perfect serving sizes. But back to the dish. The pasta was cooked al dente and the lamb ragu was soooooooooooooo good! No seriously, it was absolutely divine. Perfectly seasoned and rich in flavors. Other members of my party enjoyed their dishes: Cappelletti and Paccheri Alla Norma, both were described as absolutely perfect. Excellent evening, great service, incredible food and perfect drinks! What's not to love about this place?! I'll be back!

The dining room had a handful of tables occupied. In short, easy to get a seat. Drinks were good. I like the Somaek ($6) which is a small beer and a shot of soju. Beer ($7) was beer. We got some beef and pork mandu (dumplings) that were pretty good. 6 pieces for $10 on HH. We got two entrees, the Ddukbokgi ($28) and Yukgaejang ($29), which came with four banchan. Ddukbokgi is chewy rice cakes, gochujang, onion, and bulgogi. We thought it was only ok -- we've had better, including at Mandu in the past. Yukgaejang was a new dish for me. The menu described it as a "spicy beef stew, brisket, noodles, shiitake, bean sprouts, and egg." I expected the brisket to be sliced and recognizably brisket, but it was pulled -- it looked and tasted more like pulled pork. The dish also didn't have any noodles in it. I didn't like it. The banchan was seaweed, bean sprouts, kimchi, and cucumbers. It was okay. Service at the bar was fine.
