Any place can get noisy when its full. The one time I went was later in the evening and it was relatively quiet. We were a table of 10 and didn't need to raise our voices to speak to people at either end of the table.

We didn't expect much at first, just going for the name, but we were in for a treat! The restaurant was a bit warm because of the hot DC weather, but that was easy to ignore once we started eating. The service was top-notch, especially from our server, George. He knew the menu inside and out and helped guide us (and our 9-year-old foodie daughter) to some fantastic dishes. The food at Mazi was amazing - a hit with all of us. Each dish was not only delicious but also presented beautifully, making our meal feel extra special. We loved this place so much we ate here twice during our 4 day stay in DC! It does not matter what you order, it's ALL good! We were a party of 6, in at a weird time 3:00 on a Friday and we were the only ones in there. We ordered several appetizers and had some wine and the staff was wonderful. I don't think I've ever had greek wine before, but their S. Blanc / Cab combo is what we ordered both times. We came back 2 days later for dinner (the waitress remembered us AND our drink orders from the first visit), and again had some delicious food. Just order what you normally like and you won't be disappointed. I'd say we were a little under dressed on a Saturday night, in shorts coming in from walking around the city all day. Most of their patrons looked like they were dressed for date night. Regardless, they seated us and treated us kindly. I would absolutely return! read more

A couple of friends and I went to this place for dinner last Saturday night. The food was AMAZING! We order the pork belly, kefte, honey feta for appetizers . Kefte was so tasty. I had the NY strip Medium Rare and it was cooked to perfection. I was impressed from the quality of the meat vs the price. My friend had the Seafood Pasta and she was so impressed by it. Our server was on point! She was very attentive and all her recommendations were excellent. There were a couple of groups towards the back of the restaurant and they seem to enjoy theirselves a lot. Came here for dinner and drinks. The mezcal last word is really tasty and overall the drinks are nice and strong. The food I thought was decent, an okay place to try some Greek food. I had the chicken kebab and I wish they had more vegetables! It was an overwhelming amount of chicken and not enough flavor for me but I did love the veggies. My friends had a rack of lamb they devoured and their burger which was just average. If the restaurant is busy it gets loud but it is conveniently close to the metro. Went for my Birthday Dinner and loved every second of it! They were extremely accommodating with our reservation since we didn't all show up at once and that was a bonus. Our server was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. If I could, I would have shook the chief's hand because the food was a 20/5. We enjoyed the: Beef carpaccio: 4/5, good flavor and loved the dish as a whole. Could've used a little more sauce/dressing and micro greens, but I'd still recommend! Crab ravioli: 4/5, the sauce was delicious, though the raviolis were a little chewy 11th Street Spritz: 5/5, loved the addition of the gin to a classic aperol spritz. My friends loved their cocktails as well, including the Negroni. Italian ricotta cheesecake: 2/5, this was very dry/crumbly for a cheesecake, I'd try a different dessert next time

Overall, we enjoyed our stop at Willowsong. While the Rose Petal was a miss for us, the Little Suns definitely made up for it. Two of us tried the Hermes drink first and unfortunately it was very underwhelming. It tasted like slightly alcoholic water, but didn't have much flavor. The blueberry lemon cocktail was much more interesting.
