MB2 Raceway is a great place for birthday parties. I've had my sons birthday party's at many different places and MB2 was by far the best party we've had. We got the VIP room which was entertaining for everyone, even the kids not big enough to race had a great time. The host was AMAZING. She did not make us feel rushed at all and helped out with whatever was needed. We were even able to add on adult races which was great. Kids and parents had a great time. read more

We had my son's 9th birthday party there and the whole experience was a very good one. We had our own check-in line and party assistant, Maddie, who was just amazing! The party room was very nice. We didn't have to do a thing other than enjoy ourselves. All staff involved with our party were very professional. The boys had a blast - all 27 of them! We booked MB2 for my son's 8th birthday and the kids had the best time. Some parents even inquired about membership so much the kids fell in love with the place. The party room had a fridge so we could keep the water and cake we brought cold and there was also plenty of entertainment other than the race. The booking process was easy, done over the phone. I love this place! I've been coming here for a at least a year and I never get tired of it. I've even gotten on the top times of the week :D. People that write bad reviews are just mad cuz they crashed and got slowed down LOL. Funny story, I was there and some dude who thought he was all cool was driving extremely aggressively and hit a few karts so they slowed him down. Then he got pissed, screamed, "IM HERE TO RACE ******!!!" and rammed his kart into the wall next to where one of the employees was causing him to drop his papers. He was then forced to leave. I love coming here. It's a ton of fun. The employees are usually pretty cool, it's clean and well-kept, and we can race WITHOUT dealing with cops -- what more could you ask for? This is a great place for people who like to drive fast and get that eager to race feeling out of the way! The course is not that big, but they do let you go around it like 10 times. The course is made up of mostly curves, but it is still so much fun because here is where you will find who is a good racer or not. For the times that I have been here all seven go karts have been full, which makes the races competitive and thrilling. MB2 also has an arcade room located inside where you can kill time while waiting for your race to start. The races are a bit pricey but personally I think they are well worth it. I will definitely be back here again whenever I want to bond with someone special or simply just to have fun with your boys. read more

This place is nice! I came with a couple of friends which made the experience better, but I can see someone coming here on their own to relieve some stress. My only complaint was that a couple of the karts had little issues with them, but nothing dangerous but did affect some of the races by a tiny bit. Good fun for the price! Well kept track, clean place, with good parking also. The staff people are nice too. The only thing that I didn't like is the lack of consistency in the speed of the karts: Some karts are faster than others by quite a bit. One of my favorite places to go, I love every aspect of it except for one thing, this are a lot of kids brake checking you when you're at full speed, there are also kids going full speed at the beginning of a race purposely ramming you in the back! Usually the kids who ran at full speed get kicked off but the kids who brake check don't. I really wish the punished them too. When anyways it's a fun place! read more

Definitely recommend the place. Had my daughter's 19th birthday party there. We had an amazing time. Everyone in our party from ages 8 through 50 absolutely enjoyed themselves. First I have to say the environment is fun for everyone BUT when it comes to the front desk be careful. Try to pay with only cash. My husband was invited to an adult bday party and was told it was 45 bucks per person. We than noticed a charge of 195.00 on our card. Turns out they charged my husband "a guest to the bday party" for the VIP room. WTHECK!!! Not sure why they didn't have the name of the person who booked the bday party or have their card on file to reserve the VIP room. My husband called the next day and asked them to credit his card minus the 45.00 dollars for 1 person and the kid at the front desk said the general manager would have to do that. My husband said he would have to call his bank and cancel the entire charge. The kid admitted he didn't know what to do. SO USE CASH AT THIS PLACE!!!! What is scary is it seems like the front desk just picked a random card from the bday party guest list and charged their card for the birthday VIP room. read more

The place is very nice and friendly staff. The price is ok and the track is alright. The only that really gets me angry is the person who controls the speed of the go kart. The time i went there a employee got to race with us and his speed was much greater then me and my friends. We have been going there for so long that is total bullshit. waste of money. i drive a very expensive racing sandrail with a corvette ls2 engine under the hood. i have plenty of racing experience. i payed 23 dollars a race and the race lasts no more than 3-4 mins. not to mention getting yelled at by 16 year old punks to slow down. the stats of the race are bogus the kids that work there control the speed of your karts and determine who wins the race. if you are curious go ahead and waste your money i wouldnt go there for free read more

Not sure about the Sylmar facility, but a recent trip to the Thousand Oaks Facility was severely disappointing. We went for my son's birthday. We had family driving out from Santa Barbara and all over to come to MB2 to enjoy a fun race. We arrived at 3:30 and were told it would be about 2 hours until we raced. We thought that wasn't a huge sacrifice and we ate pizza and opened presents. No biggy. Well 5 hours went by and the kids still hadn't raced. 8:30 was when they were finally taken in. We were told that they had "celebrity" clients there so they would get priority. Then we were told that one of their "sponsors" showed up so they could race as much as they want and trash the course so it would take longer to set up between races, but they couldn't do anything because they give MB2 money. We were literally told we weren't important enough. We spoke to a manager and said we were unhappy. He didn't offer to compensate in any way and said they get enough people coming so if we didn't have nice things to say about the place it didn't matter because they get enough business anyway. Five hours we waited for 10 minutes of a race. Very disappointing. An "I'm sorry", or "here's a free race coupon for the birthday boy" would have been nice, but they said nothing and made us feel that unless we were rich and famous we weren't important to them. Horrible regulation!!! I waited a hour and thirty minutes. This I can understand because it seemed busy. I watched the instruction video and it clearly stated no AGGRESIVE driving or you will be kicked out. So even before the race this guy walk by laughing saying, "hey baby girl you should just get out of here, this race is gone be rough." The staff was just standing around. Then the race started I was going along smooth, until the same guy try to cut me and failed and another his friend rear ended me!!! My car spun out and my leg way hit again the metal pole. I let it go, but this guy was keep hitting my car trying to spin me out!! And the staff did nothing!! He didn't give a warning or kick him out like the rules have stated. I understand it's a race and people bump into each other but this was above that more like harassment! The staff just watched me leave angry acted like I wasn't even there! management needs to step it up and take on the reigns from staff. I booked a party lounge from 7-9pm. There was an event going on that was to finnish at 6:30pm, staff needs about 15-20mins to clean room and put up our decorations. it's 7:05 my guests & husband/ the B-Day room are not in the party lounge as paid for they were out waiting in what seemed to be a walk- in closet with chairs, it was small. I went to management/front desk and reminded them of my contract and, sure enough I am not getting what I paid for which was not cheap $$$$$$. I asked about our party host, since she was no where to be seen. with the party package a host is included. Management was calling out for her, front staff did not know where she was, she happened to be with another party group. My group of guest had access to the party room minutes after I wouldn't let management out of my sight. He apologized " iam sorry, we couldn't get that group out, they wouldn't get out" what?!! it was overbooked thats the truth. The only decor that was made for my husband's B-day was maintenance. They were going to set up the place with Ballons, not much but some, nothing happened. I didn't stress it, i just wanted things to go smoothly after that. Our party host took about 40mins dealing with the waiver. Signing of safety and all responsibilities from MB2 if something happens in the track. In the process of the sign waivers I go to management again. poor fellow There was more than 2-3 people with problems whom he had to deal with and he was also behind the register. Anyhow its 7:45 pm and i tell him our party host got lost. She would go in and out making copies of waivers, afterwards all waivers were signed, she was like ok now i am going to register it. what!?I had a party of 12 people, she must be in training or if she needed help assisting all of us, she should say so to management. Its 7:55pm and we are watching a safety video. hugghhh!! I am stressing out because My event was only to run from 7-9pm. At least that's how much i rented the party lounge for since they charge by the hour. we race our first 14 lap, then eat after wards. Pizza and drinks were provided as part of my party package ALL 3 pizzas were wrong, i requested pepperoni and get cheese. On our last 14 lap race management lets me know that we can stay in the party lounge until midnight, which was nice , really nice and appreciated. However it does not make up for the fact that everything was a disaster. read more

I held a customer meet and greet event this past week. It was a great opportunity to get out of the office and spend time to meet some clients. The staff was prepared and stayed in contact the days leading up to the event. The group had a great time and staff was great to work with. Very flexible, let us start later than we were scheduled, no pressure. And the course was great. I had done other courses which were smaller - this one was fun! read more

Worst place to race. The staff has no policy or rules towards fair race. The racers were bumping me and my cousin left and right. There were no warning or disqualify for reackless racers. I got rear ended and in the outcome of that I have a bruised up back and a whip lash. I brought this issue up with the manager and staff all they said was because they were new. Well I suggested they should start orientation the racers before a race. Just warning you guys before you decide to go. I gave one star beacause they refunded me but they deserve no stars. read more

the place is a bit far but worth the ride. they do races for kids and adults and are very busy. waiting is like 30-60 minutes on weekends. they have great racing cars and pretty good race track. kids love it there. they also have a large video game arena for the waiting time. i raced there myself and experience was great. i think in the LA area for kids it's the best closed race track. read more

Hello, sorry, we came today, and will probably not come back. Four young adults(I use the term loosely), came at the same time my wife and I arrived with my children. Sign up was no problem, the person behind the counter was very helpful and informative. I noticed the foursome chatting with another male employee in a Black MB2 shirt, while signing in. We got our race group, and got our helmets. The kids had a good time, going out for their first time and racing each other. Our race came up and we got our car assignments, but when the foursome and their employee buddy, showed up, I got reassigned(due to the employee making some quick changes on the computer), and I got in the other car. The race was peppered with incidents from the four guys dive bombing and crashing out other drivers! I waved at one of the guys controlling the race that the other driver was acting dangerously, to no avail, they really should have black flagged him. My wife was left very uncomfortable after being run out into the barrier in the first turn, and wanted to leave. So we did. After the race, the foursome got confrontational when I mentioned to them their driving etiquette was less than par. I race cars, what happened at the track today was horrible. I came 3rd, so this is no sour grapes for me. I will definitely not be returning or recommending this business to anyone I know. Especially since Racers Edge Karting in Burbank is equally as close. read more

Customer service - suggest the track pass when patents bring their kids in for the first time & cringe at the cost when they buy 2 laps. MB2 needs to help clients navigate the cost so we don't walk out feeling like we just got ripped off at an amusement park. We really do want to come back with friends but not if we have to sell our first born to do it. read more

Brought the kids here for their birthday in true MB2 fashion no deals unless you buy an insanity package. Apparently the $30 two race deal does not apply on New year's eve day (apparenly its a holiday here) albeit a dead holiday. So the kids wanted to playin the arcade. 12 of the 20 machines are "out of order". So glad this is a once a year visit. Not worth the money at all.. read more

Mb2 gives people great services especially for my kids they love riding the go karts and playing at there little arcade. It is very hard to find a place as good as mb2.No other go karting place is as good as mb2.I hope everyone goes there. read more
