From the moment I submitted my online request for a quote, I was soon contacted by Lara (Laura) to set up an appointment. She was friendly and answered all of my many questions. Daniel came out to measure and give me a quote. He was super professional, friendly and knowledgable and MOST OF ALL Honest!! He worked with me and my HOA with ease. He had no problem modifying the designs, etc. as needed to finalize the deal. He was always helpful and great with communication. The prices for both of my projects were very reasonable! I hired MC Fence & Deck LLC to install two gates, replace posts, and secure several existing fence posts with additional concrete. The contract was paid in full before completion. The crew first arrived late in the afternoon and worked briefly before leaving the project unfinished. They later returned again late in the day and completed the gates after dark. After reviewing the work in daylight, I noticed several items did not match what I understood was included in the agreement. Existing hardware was reused rather than replaced. The posts that were supposed to be reinforced with additional concrete were not secured. A post on a neighboring fence was replaced without prior discussion. An old post was also left leaning against my fence. I contacted the company about these concerns and was told they would be addressed. A crew later returned, but there was disagreement about the scope of work. I requested follow-up from management. I was later informed that another crew would be arranged, but I have not received further communication. Based on my experience, I recommend carefully reviewing the scope of work, documenting all agreements in writing, and inspecting the completed project thoroughly before finalizing payment. read more

Do NOT recommend. We hired MC Fence in October 2021 based on strong recommendations from local residents, but our experience has been frustrating from start to finish. At the quote, I requested a front fascia board and was told they would "definitely try to make it happen." It never was. The finished fence didn't match the look we discussed--especially the rounded gates, which we never approved. When we complained, they returned to "fix" it using the same poor materials. We even asked if a tree stump near the fence line would be an issue--they said no. Turns out it was, and now the area looks awkward and poorly planned. Customer service was terrible. We only got a call months later, when the finance company wouldn't release the funds until we confirmed we were satisfied. This was in early 2022--after multiple ignored messages from us and even a portion of the fence being smashed by a neighbor's tree during a blizzard. When someone finally came out, we were told the original salesperson had been fired for making promises he couldn't keep. They "cut us a deal" to repair the storm-damaged section for $1,000--which was absurd, considering we paid $20,000 for the entire fence across one acre. Over the years, things have only gotten worse--bowed boards, sagging gates, and an unstable repair job. I've reached out many times with no response. In late 2024, I commented on social media warning others, and someone from the company reached out. He came to look at the fence and admitted it was built incorrectly--too low to the ground, causing moisture damage. He agreed it needed real repairs: the gates fixed, some boards replaced, and one section stabilized. After the holidays, he came back to say the company refused to do anything. That was it. I've emailed both the owner and the manager for months with zero response. MC Fence is completely unprofessional. They do not stand by their work or their word. I genuinely wish I could give zero stars. We hired MC Fence based on a referral from a friend who had a decent experience. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite--one of the worst contractor interactions I've ever had. The crew that came to our home did extremely poor-quality work. But what made the situation truly unacceptable was that a member of the crew urinated on our home. Yes--on the house. Completely disrespectful and disgusting. I was told, on multiple occasions, by Justine Corbett, Paul Strawderman, Mike Pauquette, Laura Henderson, Eric Hardman, and Marco (Arriaga Stone) that this crew would never return to our property. I was even told they had been terminated. Despite all of that, they were sent back again. Since then, I've been left to chase down answers. I've sent emails, made phone calls, and followed up more times than I can count, only to be ignored or told everyone is "in training." That excuse doesn't hold up anymore--especially after weeks of silence and zero progress. I formally requested to be released from the contract, in writing, and received no reply. I've now submitted complaints to the West Virginia Attorney General, Virginia Attorney General, and the BBB. MC Fence has shown they are not capable of handling serious issues, nor do they value communication or accountability. If I could give negative stars, I would. Where do I start...we took a chance on this company and have regretted it every day since. If you value basic professionalism, accurate information, scheduled work, and communication, choose another company. (1) Said they had called Miss Utility before completing the requested fence installation, yet there were no markings in our yard and both ticket numbers we were given were nowhere to be found on the Miss Utility website. (2) The first time the installation team showed up to our house, they came with the INCORRECT materials AND the INCORRECT plans. We only wanted approx. 40-50 feet of a five-board estate fence with a gate. The on-site team had no idea we wanted a gate and did not have the materials for the requested fence design, let alone the materials for a gate! (3) The second time the installation team arrived on-site, they were UNANNOUNCED, did NOT call to schedule their arrival, and showed up at the house at 7 AM, while we were leaving for work. (4) Our family made MULTIPLE attempts to communicate with the MC team, via email, call, and text. We wanted a refund for our $580 deposit. Almost all went unanswered. The one time we did hear from someone, it was to say that "they did not handle refund requests but would be sure someone reached out." When we finally heard from someone, it was TEN DAYS LATER, and they only responded to say that the time to refund our deposit had passed. (5) Fast-Forward to today, when we received a request to review the company on google (which we did)...The MC team had the AUDACITY to reply to the review. Do you think they have responded to any of the other calls, texts, or emails? No. No, they have not. In the reply to our review though, they made sure to say, "give us a call, we would be happy to provide you with the contracted services as requested." Needless to say, unless you want zero communication and constant misrepresentations of the truth, MC Fence and Deck is not the company for you. read more

Wooooooow. I didn't bother to check Yelp reviews, but I see I'm not the only one who's been ghosted by this company. I originally reached out in 2023, and the person who came out to do my measurements and write up the quote was great. I ended up not being able to move forward at the time. Earlier this year, I contacted him again to get a new quote, and he passed me to someone else at the company because he no longer works there. Ok, great. No problem since he was great to work with last year. The new person started off eager. Said he would come out to my house while I was at work so he could see what he was working with, then send me over a new quote that day for review. Two days later, I texted him to see if I'd missed the email. He replied with, "...I will have the quote to you later this afternoon. Had late appointments last two nights..." I'm so excited about my new fence. I moved into my end unit townhouse in 2008 with an existing 5' tall privacy fence. By 2022 it was weather beaten and looking shabby from all the baseballs knocking out some of the pickets back in the day. My HOA finally wrote me up but only asked I replace some pickets, which was nice, but I saw one of my neighbors had an MC Fence put in and I've admired it for so long, I took this as an opportunity to get mine replaced. I called MC Fence for a quote. Brendan came down 2 days later to take measurements and ask to pick the style. I chose my fence, we negotiated some finer details vs dollars and came to an agreement. After 3 weeks waiting for my HOA to approve, Brendan brought in his crew and tore down, then rebuilt a brand new fence from the ground up, in 3 hours!! Not prefab. All drilled and hammered right in front of my eyes. Cemented posts in the ground. Top posts capped. Gate arched. This fence is 6' tall! Gorgeous. Total privacy. Big difference. Cost was reasonable considering inflation and timber costs. I love it and my cats do too! So happy I can let them out in my yard and they don't try to get out. Just chillin in the yard. We're so lucky. They even filled in the ground to bottom fence gaps which is great because my land isn't level. So happy with my MC Fence. Thanks Brendan! read more
