Not sure I can express how much we LOVE this place. Every time we visit La Paz, this is a MUST stop. Their battered fish tacos are so amazing, they are gone before we can ever take a photo. Stopped into Mc-Fisher after traveling to La Paz that morning. We were starving, so we were happy to get seated right away, and our server came over quickly. They have English and Spanish menus, so it makes it easy for most visitors. I started with a margarita, which was ok, but not the best I had in La Paz. But we were really there for the tacos anyway. We heard they had some of the best fish tacos in La Paz, and they did not disappoint! I got the diabla fish taco, which no worries - it wasn't too spicy, and the blue crab taco. Both were packed with seafood and were delicious. My husband had a fish and a shrimp taco, which he enjoyed as well. Two tacos was just the right amount for an afternoon meal. We referred this spot to our friends who went a few weeks later. They raved about it when they returned home. Decent prices, friendly and fast service, and great seafood. One of my favorite places to get breakfast in La Paz. Their salsas are amazingly flavorful. I want to bottle them all and bring them home. It's the kinda place that you impatiently taste the salsas before the food, and you know you're in for a treat. We got the Omelet a la Diabla every time. I'm sure other things are good, but a shrimp omelet smothered in a chipotle sauce was just perfection. Great with those salsas too! Food was delicious. Many sauce options and the food is fresh. My favorite tacos were the Camaron Al ajillo and the ensabollado. The ajillo had perfect amount of spice and flavor and the ensabollado did not need any sauces. The Margarita was a little weak but they have Mexican beers. Would definitely come back. read more

The ceviche of fish and shrimp combo was a great starter, and plenty for 4 people to share. The daily special of grilled yellow tail tuna was out of this world delicious!!! Also, try the specialty margarita, made with fresh pineapple, mezcal and basil....YUM!! The staff was very helpful and attentive. The first thing you should know is bring something flat like a credit card to the bathroom as I got stuck inside and ended up taking a picture off the wall to use the mail to get out. Our order took forever to come (about 40 minutes) and it wasn't worth the wait. I'm not sure if it was because we were tourists but it did seem like people who seemed to be locals who came in after us were being served their food promptly. I would guess it's a good place for the locals but if you're a tourist, there are much better places for fresh seafood. read more

Drinks (Pina Colada + Piñata) were average, but food was great. The salsas are great and the burrito + quesadillas (although they are more like typical tacos) are outstanding. The crispy chicken, comes in the burger/taco, matches excellently with the cheese. Took an extremely long time to receive the receipt, and seating arrangement is quite weird. All the tables are the exact same size (a typical bench) so a group of 2 and 8 would sit in the same table, leading to longer than necessary wait times. A local establishment, so no AC. But deal with it for all the other 5, 6 stars qualities of its foods and services. Though we are buying a home in San Jose del Cabo for retirement from Seattle, we look forward to making day trips to La Paz for it's great seafoods, including Mc Fisher and to visit Reuben. We got there about 45 minutes before official closing time and did not have a great experience. The food was good, fried fish tacos and fried scallops tacos, but we had to ask for the beers and the ceviche we ordered which still hadn't arrived after our tacos came. Decent hot sauce and salsa for garnish, ceviche was just okay. Once we got all our food, we were soon overrun by a big group of families with kids running around. Not the fault of the restaurant but not the experience we were looking for. People rave about this place, but our experience was not great and I have no desire to return. read more
