At the far end of the malecon (free cruise ship bus dropped us at midpoint), it is far enough away to avoid the cruise crowd. I had read about the local specialty chocolate clams (chocolate because the clam shell are brown) and had to try them. They were quite nicely presented on shell, arrived quickly and are very flavorful. The hot sauces presented with the chips are in fun enameled bowls, but alas are not that spicy. Service is excellent, views are the best in town overlooking the marina and lovely malecon, and prices are reasonable. They take credit cards and even better, have free wifi. It is a great place to relax and have a local beer and/or cocktail.

I was in town with my family for a short vacation and this was the first placed we tried after we arrived ti La Paz. We tried the pulpo tostadas, the tacos gobernador and my absolute favorite was the pulpo sope. We would try other restaurants, but after this place they were a bit disappointing. We always ended up coming back. The sashimi Cortez is delicious and the mango margarita is made with fresh mangoes. The kids menu is simple, but my daughters loved it as well. We will definitely come back!

We arrived in La Paz about 6:15 today after cruising from Ensenada de Muertos. This is the first place we've eaten at and we ordered the fish tacos and they were heavenly. They also gave us chips and a sampling of 3 salsas (2 were creamy and the other a traditional tomato). Everything was so delicious and the pricing was extremely reasonable! We'll be back!! Update!! We had breakfast here last Sunday - DO NOT HAVE BREAKFAST HERE!!

One of our favourites in La Paz. Try the sunset salad with shrimp. It is absolutely amazing. The service is always great and friendly.

The price is a little on the higher side for Mexico, but when you taste the food, you'll know why. They start you with a coffee cup of fish broth, try it. I'm not a fish broth person, but I finished mine real quick. Their octopus is also delightful. Definitely try everything you can here.

Looking at old photos of the exterior, it's no wonder we've passed this place up every time we've driven through. It was around evening time when we noticed their business sign -bright and vivid. We were familiar with the restaurant in Cabo so we knew the seafood would be good. We had to stop by as we were too starve to wait. We were greeted, seated and given menus immediately. A complimentary tea cup size fish broth arrived at our table; it was bland, but hot. I ordered my usual mixto civeche as my partner with her usual clams. Our food and drinks arrived in no time. While she had no complaints, unfortunately, my ceviche was not what I had expected. I figured since I liked the Toro Guero in Cabo so much, La Paz location would not disappoint. My mixto ceviche was dry and was missing seasoning. It was missing a "kick." Nonetheless, I lemoned it up and finished the entire dish without issues. Like I said, I was hungry. We returned today before our flight back home to San Diego. I wanted to try something new. The shrimp burrito was ok. Not alot of shrimp, too mushy due to guacamole and the tortilla fell apart....to heavy and wet. I used a fork to finish the rest. Staff members are attentive. I would return again and maybe try sometime different

It's a beautiful setting, their attention to detail is readily apparent. Modern and masculine with just enough rustic features to remind you they're cooking meat over flames, you immediately know that you're in for a treat. We had bone marrow served with refried beans (Who knew this was a killer combo?!?), Caesar salad (fresh and traditional), fish tacos (savory and snappy with zest), elote (maybe the highlight of the night, perfectly prepared tender corn oozing with flavor), whole snapper roasted over mesquite, rib eye (perfect medium rare with crispy rendered fat)...oh man...what a treat! Probably my 6th time here over the last decade and they've always been good. They now might be at their peak. It's expensive, likely one of the most costly meals you'll have in La Paz - we ordered wines, drinks, multiple apps, entrees and desserts - and spent around $100 US each for a dinner that would cost twice as much stateside. If you like fine dining, this place is an absolute must.
