Kenny and John are some of the nicest people you will ever meet, and they genuinely make you feel like a valued customer. I eat here about once a week and have for years, and I can recommend just about everything on the menu. My go to is the chips and cheese, which is an absolute must, along with the shredded beef tacos, potato tacos, and enchiladas. They also have great carne asada fries, and what makes them stand out is that they use thick, golden crispy fries instead of the thin shoestring kind, which makes a huge difference. They even have something you will not find anywhere else, enchilada fries, which are fries covered in enchilada sauce and cheese, and you can add carne asada if you want. It is simple and incredible. The ambience is part of what makes this place so special. It is a small family owned spot that is always clean and comfortable. Everyone inside, including the customers, is friendly, and there is always a good vibe because people are genuinely happy to be there enjoying the food. Sometimes there is a small TV on, and other times you will hear music playing from behind the counter, which just adds to the charm. It feels welcoming, relaxed, and real. It is a cash only place, but they do have an ATM inside, so it is easy to plan for. At the end of the day, there is just nothing like Little Caboose. Places like this are rare, and I do not think there will ever be another quite like it. Once you try it, you will understand why so many people become regulars for life.
