The batter was thin, light, and crispy, while the chicken stayed juicy and tender. The Lemon Pepper wings tasted like real lemon pepper should. Instead of relying on a heavy premade seasoning, they incorporated fresh lemon zest, which gave the wings a bright, fresh and authentic flavor. I'm usually not a lemon pepper person, but these definitely won me over. The Peruvian Green wings were my favorite. The sauce was herbaceous, tangy, creamy, and packed with flavor. Honestly, put that sauce over a bowl of rice and I'd happily finish every bite. The experience was just as enjoyable as the food. Pete shared samples of his cornbread and brought a fun, confident energy that made the visit memorable. You can tell he takes pride in what he serves, and that passion comes through in the food. I had heard about it so we went over only to see a line that was 40 yards deep. No way to make our movie so we put it off. I was shocked to find that there was no line and only a few marines that had just picked up their orders. I was surprised to hear whether I wanted butter or mayo. I thought I all rolls came with mayo but I asked what was more popular. The gal mentioned that the butter was more popular so I had to try that one. I was thinking about adding the extra meat but I am glad I didn't, the roll was perfect although I wish it were a little bigger. The roll here comes on what looks like a giant buttered Texas toast, not the hoagie type roll I was imagining but the toast was really delicious and adds a lot of taste to the roll. My roll had plenty of meat and had a few big chunks that you can really bite into. It had some butter on the lobster but not so much that it was oily. Just perfect. I cant believe how good it was to taste this awesome explosion of deliciousness and I cant wait to get back to try the sandwich with mayo; you know for research. Next time I will also try the lobster bisque soup.
