Came here for tacos on a weeknight at around 11pm and there only a few people in line. I guess I was lucky because a lot of the reviews here mention that the line can be long. The tacos took some time to come out, but the wait was not too long, likely 10-15 minutes. I like my tacos without cilantro and onions, but they will offer to add that for you. Out of the meats I ordered, I'd say the ranking from best to worst would be al pastor, asada, then cabeza. Overall, I thought all the meats were seasoned very well and delicious. This truck is a great option in the Buena Park area, especially for late night tacos. There is ample parking in the parking lot where the truck is located. read more

Such a great taco truck to go to if you're ever in the area and craving late night tacos. I believe you can call to place a pick up order as well! It does get busy sometimes but I never wait more than 20-30 minutes which I feel is standard for a busy taco truck. I get their carne asada tacos and it's soooo good. This truck is definitely busy around 10-11pm, service does take awhile but it's not too bad of a wait. My bf and I got the Al pastor tacos and carne asada tacos, I think it was around maybe $20+ bc of using card and getting charged a card fee. I feel the prices for everything is the average of what I spend at most taco spots. The food came out fast maybe 5 minute wait at most, felt like the meat could be seasoned better but it was good with the salsas. It's just by a parking lot the have a good light though to see everything. It sure if they do it all the time but I got free hot chocolate when I went which was really good and perfect for the cold night. They have a trash can if you are eating It there. Sometimes you see one off in the distance and if you live in or around LA you see them almost every block. Thankfully this trend has extended beyond LA county and now you see them in abundance in every county. I am of course talking about the magnificently unique LA born taco truck. Tonight the one that feeds me sits on a quiet street in Orange County. I almost don't want to write this review in fear that Tacos Maggi will become even busier than it already is on this Saturday night. But life is about sharing and caring, so as I stand hear at this ungodly hour, surrounded by drunks, partiers and a barrage of Spanish being spoken, I share with you this gem of a taco truck. Tacos Maggi doesn't just serve you cheap and delicious Mexican food, they serve you love and relief when it is late and you have no one to turn to for that magical elixir that will take away the beginnings of a hangover. And that is what I will go to sleep with. Love in my tummy because what says love more than a home cooked meal? Even if I'm standing on a street corner and not my home. Somehow at the loneliest hours, approximately minutes after you leave that bar or club, I have found something warm and inviting. EXTREMELY LONG WAIT. We came here on a Sunday night around 6:30pm and the wait for 6 tacos was 50minutes long. The food was good but not so exceptional that I'd wait 50 minutes for lol. So call in for phone order if you can. There's also no toppings and salsas outside for you to add yourself. Everything is packed inside the truck by the staff. Definitely ask for extra onion and cilantro because the amount they initially add is horrendously little. And because the tacos are packed in foil instead of being handed on a plate, they're soft and look squished. I definitely will not be back. There's a ton of taco trucks in the area and this place doesn't deserve such a high rating imo. read more

The service is just okay--they can be a bit stingy with the salsa, and mind you, the portions are already small to begin with. But I can't deny how much I love their crispy tripa, chicken, asada, and pastor tacos. The taco prices have gone up recently, now ranging from $2.50 to $3.00 depending on the meat you choose (as of 9/19/25). Just a heads up, that's for one small taco--about the size of a small hand probably even smaller honestly. (I guess it depends on your hand size lol) Also, some prices aren't listed on the truck, so they could definitely update that. I seriously don't understand how this taco truck is still running. I ordered two tacos literally just two and ended up waiting an entire hour for them. An hour! For tacos! And it wasn't just me they kept messing up other people's orders too, so the whole line was annoyed and confused. By the time I finally got my food, I was more irritated than hungry. You can call or text and place your order over the phone for pick up (Took a photo of their number) Each taco is $2 and specialty tacos like Tripa or Lengua is $2.50. But the star of the show is the Tripa, make sure to ask for "Crispy" Tripa not regular. So crispy, crunchy, and delicious! Another thing that makes this place good is their sauces! yummm nearly missed my turn finding this taco truck but soo glad I found my way! Upon reading past reviews, many mentioned long wait times. I hatee waiting in any queue, but saw that you can actually TEXT TO ORDER ahead! This concept was so foreign I almost didn't believe it could be true, it was SO CONVENIENT!! I ordered a late night snack for myself -- 1 - Al Pastor Mulita ($2.50) 1 - Al Pastor Taco ($1.50) 1 - Cabeza Taco ($2.50) 1 - Lengua Taco ($2.50) Wait time was reasonable, and they even messaged me once it was ready. My favorite has to be the Al Pastor Mulita & Taco, and Cabeza . The Al Pastor was marinated in spicy chilies and garlic creating a smoked flavor. The mulita had al pastor smushed in between caramelized onions, gooey melted cheese that crisped on the sides , I should've eaten it there fresh but had to get back home. Even so, everything was still delicious! Ahh can't wait to go back, mouth is watering just writing about it!! The tortillas are double stacked, ensuring the contents inside are held altogether, regardless of how heavy it can get with their amazing sauces. A MUST HAVE is the red and green sauce. The red is a savory, smokey, and spicy Chile sauce. The way they grilled their peppers before pureeing into a sauce is unimaginably good the charring flavor really comes through!! Careful it is SPICY in a way your throat and possibly tummy will begin to feel warm Green is a bit milder, more tangy in taste good for extra flavor. I used it most on the Lengua as it came with little to no marinade. Idk why there are complaints, this is a very straight forward process. Your best bet is to text them your order and they give you an approximate pickup time , you need to include what condiments you want. Pay and pickup your food. It's always fresh, it's so good and yes they're a little stingy with the salsa but the red one is spicy enough you don't need much. 10/10 for me every time I've ordered. Tacos Maggie has some of the better food truck tacos. I've tried asada, chicken, tripa dorada (fried tripe) mulitas, tacos, & burritos . I'm a burrito person but the burritos here might have too many beans for my liking. Simple request to remove 'em and you should be good. Apart from that, the prices are moderate, spend about $15/person (and that's on a day we are reeeaaally hungry) My issue with Tacos Maggie is the wait time. Over 20minutes for a taco truck is kind of insane. I blame this directly on the fact they accept phone orders. I understand it's supposed to be convenient and I could just also place a phone order but I don't buy into the modern food truck fashion. I want to be able to just drive to the place, order, and eat. Just a personal preference. Need to know: -There aren't any seats available (norm for taco trucks) -Tacos are child sized. You need minimum 6 to get an adult full -They can be stingy with the sauces, as they are not left out for people to freely grab, so just ask for extra. I recommend the "avocado" salsa. Their carne asada is delicious. Im picky with asada in some places, but Maggie's is literally delicious. I love getting the mulitas and I get it with everything. Usually I don't like onion + cilantro because cilantro is soapy to me. But at Maggie's, the meat & cheese overtakes it. The service is good, it's always the same guy taking orders & lady giving us the food, they're super cool. It is just a taco truck on the side of the road, but there's an empty parking lot with lots and lots of parking. I forgot the pricing but tacos average from $2.50-3.50 I believe. Totally recommend. Went here on a Wednesday night and there were a lot of people, but they were just standing around so I guess they were just waiting for their orders. Walk up and the man is taking an online order, then takes our order, which was 2 tacos and 3 mulitas.
