Service was good despite them being busy. Restaurant is not too big but there is seating inside and a couple of tables outside. The food was yummy and served piping HOT. They stay open late but they are CASH ONLY so be ready for that.
Literally some of the best tacos I've had yet. Perfectly seared, tender and flavorful meat portioned generously on homemade tortillas with braised onions and so many salsas to choose from... Literally what more could you possibly ask for lol. There's a bit of a language barrier when ordering and they only accept CASH so keep things simple and try coming on Taco Tuesday where you can get any of their regular tacos for $2.25. Sadly they were out of brisket when I last visited but the cabeza taco more than made up for it. It's probably one of my favorites next to the al pastor + pineapple. Prices are super reasonable, food comes out fast, and the place is kept pretty clean for the amount of foot traffic it gets. Overall this place lives up to the hype, seriously some of the best in OC next to Los Cholos without having to drive to LA or SD.
They have deals that run Monday to Thursday for different menu items - we got the loaded fries for $9 on Wednesday. We picked Al pastor, which was super good. It comes with fries, cheese, guac, Al pastor, and onions & cilantro. The portion of meat was worth the deal. Also, we grabbed a bag of cucumbers and limes on the side. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the cheese sauce actually, I wished it could've been better. It does leave a grease pool at the bottom of the container.
I was surprised by how popular this place seems to be because nothing we ordered stood out. Fortunately, it wasn't busy when we visited, but the food was pretty average overall. The mulita was soggy and disappointing, and the tacos were unremarkable. The aguas frescas were fine but nothing memorable. Unfortunately, nothing we tried left much of an impression, and I wouldn't go out of my way to return.
As a Mexican who used to frequent Tijuana for tacos, Angels was not it. Honestly, it is not a restaurant I would go out of my way for. The place is super packed and seating is limited but food comes out in a reasonable amount of time. My husband and I got an agua Fresca, asada taco, chicken taco, asada vampire, and an asada burrito. The quality of meat for asada was really good but the chicken taco lacked seasoning. I also really enjoyed the aqua Fresca. We asked for no onion on the tacos and burrito but Angel's Tijuana taco mixes the cilantro and onion - no onion means no cilantro (I honestly do not understand why restaurants do this). The tacos were really soggy (my husband claims that it was the salsa that the cooks added but I didn't taste any salsa) which resulted in the tortilla falling apart. The burrito was unfortunately pretty similar. The burrito also comes with non-refried beans, which also messed with the texture a bit. The Mexican rice was not very good. The vampire was the best thing we tried but the tortilla was not at all toasted. The cheese they used was good and as mentioned earlier, the quality of the asada is really tasty and delicious - I still wish the tortilla was crispy. I did like that there was a salsa bar but in my opinion, none were really spicy; the bar also had radishes, cucumber, roasted onion, lemon, and roasted peppers. Overall, it was okay but as mentioned before, I would not return.
This is a taco spot located on the side of the street. You order what you what and everything is made fresh right in front of you. At the end of the line they offer drinks and have a salsa bar on which you grab what you want. I for the cheese carne casas burrito and it was delish.
This place is wonderful. Delicious food, more than generous portions, clean seating area, and a friendly and quick staff. Not much else you can ask for. Ordered two keto tacos, one with pastor and the other with asada. My sister ordered the potato with asada. Both were magnificent. The potato also comes with four corn tortillas, so that was an extra bonus. Saw they about four or five different kinds of agua fresca. Didn't try any, but they looked pretty refreshing. Pretty decent salsa bar with assorted cold and hot toppings. I saw they also have weekday specials before 2 PM. The only regret I have is coming on a weekend night, so I wasn't able to take advantage of their deals.

Definitely could share this with 2-3 other people I ordered it con todo, and all of the toppings were fresh and flavorful. I was especially happy they included guacamole--it really brought everything together. The fries were very cheesy, which I know a lot of people will love, but it was just a little too much cheese for my personal taste. My sister tried a few of their other tacos and said they were a 10/10. They also make their tortillas fresh, which definitely makes a difference. We got the tacos and cheese tacos with asada, al pastor, and brisket. All tacos and meat were so good and flavorful. The tacos were packed with meat and flavorful. The asada had really good flavor and the al pastor was one of the best pastor tacos i've had and it had a chunk of pineapple on it. The avocado on top made it taste really good. We wanted to come back to this spot right after.
I was craving a burrito and came across this spot while looking around the area. Just FYI it's cash only. Not sure if that's permanent, but it's been like that for the last couple months. I love suadero, so I was excited to see it on the menu. I got the suadero burrito and suadero tacos and both were sooo good. Super flavorful and hit the spot. I definitely want to come back and try the other meats, but honestly I'm pretty loyal to suadero! Service was great and the food came out really fast. They also have a self-serve toppings bar with lemons, salsa, cucumber, grilled onions, and other extras. There's a good amount of seating too, tables plus bar style seats by the windows
I've been seeing this place on my feed for quite some time now and finally got to try it. This place is cash only! I ordered carne asada tacos. I love that it already comes with the creamy guac sauce. The meat quality is so good!! These tacos are a little larger than your regular street tacos so 3 tacos was definitely my limit. It was pretty busy when I visited but I wait no more than 10 minutes for my tacos which isn't bad at all. I love that they include grilled onions and jalapeños at their sauce bar! I noticed they had a menu for special deals that's coming soon so I'm definitely looking forward to that!
My siblings and I had major craving for breakfast burritos, so we decided to make a stop at our fav breakfast burritos spot, Angel's Tijuana!! They went viral a few months back for their burrito and I have been coming back ever since. We decided to get two burritos to share between 4 people. I certainly did not expect it to be HUGGGEE!! It was heavy and stuff with so much fillings/toppings/meat! I went around 11AM and there was no line and my burritos came out pretty fast. I prefer the pastor over chorizo, as the chorizo was a bit salty for my taste. I love that they have so many condiments that we can freely get ourselves! Love their roasted onions and peppers! Their tacos are amazing too, but we were craving burrito that day. Service is fast and there was lots of seating. They only take cash, so prepare to have cash on you! The burrito was $12.50, which is such a steal for how big it is.
This place smells so good! I ordered carne asada tacos and my daughter ordered their loaded potato. I gave this experience 3 stars because they add so much salsa to the tacos and it's extremely spicy, so much so that it ruined my meal. The carne was tasty but you can't enjoy your food. The loaded potato was bomb! It also had asada but didn't have the salsa so it was edible. It's a fast past environment which was ok, people were nice.

Amazing food! My go to place for Mexican food in OC! Absolutely LOVE their quesadillas! Definitely a must-stop if you want delicious Mexican food! 5/5 Also, contrary to what recent reviews are saying, this place absolutely takes CARD. I'm unsure why recent reviews are saying Cash only, but I've been here twice in the past couple months and they accepted card. We got the $9 loaded fries with everything on it and three tacos with no cilantro and onion. I thought the tacos should have still included the salsa and guac? Also they forgot our order was togo, even when the cashier outright asked me so I know I didn't forget to bring it up. We got home and to be honest, the food actually tasted delicious. HOWEVER, about 1/3 of the way into eating the fries, WE FOUND PLASTIC IN IT. Not because we saw, but BECAUSE I BIT IT. I initially thought it was bone just to take it out and see that NOPE it's plastic. I had to throw away the fries because now I can't tell, did I eat other smaller pieces plastic without noticing?! Is there more plastic in the parts I haven't eaten yet?! A person shouldn't have to worry about that . I'm sorry but that's three strikes against yall. read more

If you're looking for legit Tijuana-style tacos in Anaheim, Angel's is it. Everything's cooked over mesquite so it smells amazing right when you walk up. They've got a huge trompo for the al pastor and that one was easily the best--super flavorful with a nice char. Tried the pastor, asada, cabeza, and tripa. All were really good. Pastor definitely stood out. Only thing--the tripa could've been a little crispier, but still solid. They've got a salsa bar with grilled onions, jalapeños, cucumbers, pickled onions, radish, and different salsas so you can load up your tacos. Lines get long but they move fast. CASH ONLY!!!!!!!!!! This might have been my fault because I don't think i really paid attention to any of the photos but thankfully my mom had cash. I went in on a sunday afternoon so there was a line but it moved fairly quick and there was plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. We didn't wait much for the food either and the employee was kind enough to bring the food to the table as he saw me pouring / preparing different side options. Food was AMAZING! I ordered the asada burrito which as you can see in the picture is HUGE! My mom was craving al pastor tacos and she was so happy + satisfied with these. Her only complaint was the guacamole as there was a weird aftertaste but aside from, she loved them and is definitely coming back, as am I! I appreciate the multiple side options they have and love the cooked jalapeños+onion. Note: The bathroom door was malfunctioning and doesn't properly close so I asked my mom to guard the door. Bathroom is not kept up so it was dirty. Overall, a good spot for tacos and am excited to come back and try something else! read more
An excellent spot for flavorful and authentic Tijuana-style tacos and more! The staff and service are fast and efficient. Love seeing the activity in the open-view kitchen. The Al Pastor cooking on the spit can make someone drool from the sight of it. My go-to menu items are the tacos! These are slightly larger than regular street tacos and are generously filled. All the meat is perfectly seasoned and cooked well. You won't go wrong with any of them. My favorites are the Asada, Al Pastor, Pollo, and Cabeza. The menu is extensive, and I still want to try the burritos and quesadillas. For beverages, they offer bottled beers, sodas, and freshly-made agua frescas. I usually get one of the refreshing agua frescas, like horchata or cucumber-strawberry. More notes: - CASH ONLY - Complimentary salsa bar and roasted onions and jalapeños - A few tables and counter seating to dine in. - Line moves pretty fast, so don't worry when the line's out the door - They have weekly specials above the cashier - Open late night daily (until 1 or 2 am) - They started out as pop-up vendors around the LA and OC areas, which are still in operation. First time trying Angel's and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious, I especially enjoyed the Vampiro! I have never had one before but if I came back, I'd order two of those and call it a day because it was delicious & filling. We also ordered tacos with steak, brisket, and al pastor. If I had to rank the meats: #1 steak, delicious & juicy # 2 brisket, not much flavor but it is juicy #3 al pastor, good but oily I would definitely recommend this place to friends, it hit the spot with the guava fresca! read more
Angels Tijuana Tacos makes a really good taco. I absolutely loved the beef great flavor and very generous portions. They didn't have the al pastor available when we visited, which was a bummer, but the beef definitely made up for it. My favorite part is that they automatically load them up with that delicious, thick guacamole ,onion and sauce. They also have a great self-serve area where you can grab your own cucumbers, extra sauces, and other sides to finish them off. Definitely a solid 4-star spot that I'd come back to! read more
The Al pastor tacos were highly recommended online but I think tacos el gordo in San Diego is still my favorite tacos! I do like the variety in options for the self serve bar and their bathrooms were very clean. Food came out relatively fast as well, not too much interaction with the workers. read more

If you're looking for late-night TJ-style tacos, Angel's is gonna hit the spot for sure. Came by with a group of friends after a workout as we all collectively wanted tacos. Luckily the line at Angel's wasn't too long. I ordered al pastor tacos, while a friend of mine got asada. To be honest, the asada was better than their al pastor which I thought were too salty. I still enjoyed though since the guacamole and onion/cilantro on top helped balance the saltiness. We washed everything down with horchata. I would probably get an agua fresca and skip the horchata next time. There's lots of parking available as well as small seating areas both inside and outside. I'll definitely be back in the future! read more
This is the REAL deal. These are some of the very best tacos anywhere. This place is extremely authentic, too, if that matters to you. They do not apologize here for absolutely blasting ranchera music inside this small shop. There was a long line around 8:00 p.m. on a Saturday night but it moved fairly quickly. Be warned you may wait a very long time for your food after you order so be patient. The food is outstanding and the wait is worth it. They have aguas frescas here and they are freshly-made. The horchata was probably the best horchata I have ever had in my life. They give you a giant portion and it was absolutely delicious. They offer free grilled whole jalapenos and grilled onions near the salsa bar. There are also free lemon wedges, radishes, a pickled onion mixture, and three salsas. The grilled jalapenos and onions were excellent. The salsas were very nice but the "very hot" one was not that hot. They offer quesadillas and burritos and other things, and I am sure everything is terrific, but most everyone gets tacos, and they are wonderful. We tried chicken, asada, and adobada tacos and all of them were great. They are "street taco" size but you get a ton of meat and guacamole so they are heftier than you think. Two tacos might be sufficient for some but I feel like three tacos really hits the spot. While you wait--and, oh yes, you will wait--watch the team behind the counter work their magic. All of the tortillas are made fresh right in front of you. The guy cutting the adobada on the trompo is working triple-time. He slices and slices and slices the meat and then carves a hunk of pineapple off the top and catches it in the tortilla when it falls. It's a mesmerizing free circus act and I loved it. This place is extremely popular for good reason. I don't really want this place to get any busier than it already is but these are outstanding tacos and deserve lots of love. Great service. The restaurant is very beautiful and clean. There's a huge parking lot. I tried the asada queso tacos that were pretty good. I also got the loaded fries with asada which was good too. Lastly I tried the angels burrito which was the best to me. read more
This spot is located on the corner of a little plaza. Theres plenty of parking, but be ready to wait in line! We went at a random time during the day but it was poppin. I had high expectations hearing so many good things and seeing how busy it gets, no matter what time of day. I got to try the Al pastor taco, asada taco, and asada burrito. The Al pastor was my least favorite. I'm not sure if it's the cut of meat I got but it was way too thinly sliced and crisped that the meat was almost sharp. The asada was a bit better, but it was just okay to me. I did like how stacked the tacos were. The asada burrito was probably my favorite because it's huge and stacked as well. Has lots of flavors. I tried the lemonade agua fresca and it was definitely refreshing. There's one restroom in the back and it's nice and clean. There's only a handful of tables inside the store. I'm not sure if it's because this place was overhyped to me, but I just thought it was okay. read more

Vegetarian burrito was ok. This is not one you'd go out of your way to buy. It's a burrito you'd get if you don't eat meat and you go there with friends. Obviously the place caters towards meat eaters, but I'm trying to help all of us vegetarians. This was basically the only option on the menu, or veggie tacos which is the pretty much the same thing. Burrito has onions, peppers, rice, beans and guacamole. We ordered to go and by the time I got back to my desk, it was soggy and falling apart, so a fork/knife burrito. Flavor was mainly onions, not balanced. I'm sure the rest of the food is really good. read more
Best tacos ever! We use to go to the taco stand a lot before so I'm glad they finally have a place! We came at the right time because after we ordered the line wrapped around the building. I like that they have a big tv playing the game inside. The tacos are delicious! My favorite is the tripa tacos! The tacos are fully loaded! I also love the baked potato. read more

Seriously, giving Angel's anything under 5 stars should be punishable by death, or at least imprisonment. The Al Pastor here if just not comparable to anything else on earth.... There will not be a single time I am in Anaheim that I do not stop here to stuff my face... The tacos are just incredible, and the air is just filled with the sweet smell of meats charring over the fire.. The service is also great, super friendly, HELLA fast. Love this place. read more
TL;DR Great ambiance, great food and drinks. Al Pastor taco is so good. Food The food and drinks are so good. The Al Pastor tacos are still my favorite. They are spiced, charred from the spit, and so juicy. The pineapple is so sweet and pairs so well with the pork. All their meat is good because it is seasoned and charred. Their thin, grilled, corn tortilla holds everything together. The guacamole is smooth and so creamy. The Al Pastor taco is so yum. The Michelada is salty, tangy, and sweet. Service and Ambiance Service is so fast. I went from waiting outside in line and getting my food in 10 minutes. I really like the music. Do you believe in Angels? I don't know if I do or not but I think they exist. It's just that I don't know what the word 'Angels' means. People use it in all kinds of different ways, just like they use the word God, friend or love. It means different things to different people but whoever is saying it, feels it has meaning. Angel's Tacos must mean something to a lot of people because every time I pass by, there is a line of people waiting for a taste of these celestial tacos. But this is Southern California and a good taco is as rare as a beautiful woman that you swear should be an actress. They're everywhere and most are delicious and savory....the tacos I mean of course. So, I did what most Angelenos do when they see a line for tacos, I got in line. I stood there, talking with the locals about tacos, lines and life. When I finally got to the front, I snapped into my normal routine and ordered four pastor tacos, four carne asada tacos, two cabeza tacos and two crispy tripas tacos, with a Angel's potato on the side. I know what you're thinking, "Is that for two people, possibly three?' The answer would be 'No', it's all for me. Please don't judge me but a massive personality requires a massive appetite. Now that we're friends, I feel I need to be honest with you. The tacos here are good but not better than any other famous and notorious taco's spot making their rounds in Southern California, and they're certainly not good enough to stand in line 25 minutes for. In the end Angel's Tacos is another case of a really good taco spot surrounded by better taco spots. Big fish, small pond, type of deal, if you know what I mean. The service here is amazing, the people are so nice. We came from Pennsylvania for vacation but didn't expect this would be our favorite place. They are blasting music 24:7 and the little tables and chairs. We ordered the loaded fries not expecting that it would be a huge bowl of fries with guacamole your choice of meat and a bunch of other stuff, portions are great. I think they are a great place to stop by and try their food. Their prices are fair too. read more

I've been here a few times and have enjoyed ieach visit. My fave dish so far has been the asada nachos. The micheladas are also delicious and definitely worth trying. There is sometimes a line, but it moves pretty fast, so it's never been a big issue. read more
My hubs and kids were in town visiting knotts and were in dire need of some good Mexican food. After countless reviews we decided on Angel's. I knew from the time we walked up this was gonna be great food. There was a line out the door. I love that they have tented seating outside since the restaurant is small. I was able to order online and wait for my meal inside, while I grabbed some salsas, grilled onions and jalapeños. Our order quickly came up and we devoured it. I opted for angels potato, my husband the carne asada fries and the kids both had quesadillas. The food was fantastic and portions were HUGE. A little pricey, but worth it. CASH ONLY so make sure you have cash as me and the party behind me were confused it was cash only I don't remember it being cash only last time but it's been a few months. They have weekly specials so make sure to check that out to get a good price on select menu items on certain days! Always down to give places a second chance and it's still a 3 in my book. I came on a Monday evening and luckily no wait. I got loaded al pastor fries, a sudero taco, a tripa taco, a side of chips (it comes with guac that's why it's $5), and a pineapple orange agua Fresca. I got to sample the agua Fresca before committing which was appreciated. The horchata was a bit to cinnamon heavy so I went with the pineapple orange and it was so good and refreshing no regrets that was my favorite part of my meal. Lots of spacious seating and clean. Large salsa bar area with lots of veggies and salsas just the salsa cups were so small it took people a while to get some. Moving onto the food tacos again just okay not really memorable it was edible but nothing really stood out. The chips were crispy and crunchy but had a terrible after taste like they were cooked in old oil so they turned me off. The loaded fries were good I like that they came with nacho cheese so each fry was super coated with cheese and great flavor here just wish the fries didn't get so soggy quickly. Honestly the fries are so filling def need to split it with 2 + people and it kind of got exhausting to eat after a while since it was so filling, soggy, and repetitive flavors. I will be back though since it's near by and the taco truck I usually go to is mia lately. I would come back to try the breakfast burrito heard people raving about it I will keep you posted when that time comes. read more
