It's been a few years since I've eaten here, and I wanted to see how it was. I ordered a Reuben no pickle with a side of chili. It wasn't horrible but my Reuben was cold. They melt the cheese on it and the meat and cheese were cold. It was a fair sandwich. I don't think it's worth $20 bucks, I remember buying these just a few years ago for less than $5. It was clean if a little worn on the inside of the building. Some of the stands they use to hold up your order number, so the folks bringing your food to you can find you, are so broke and they can't hold the numbers. It's pretty dim/dark on the inside, but they have windows that face out words. The folks working here were friendly and courteous. It took about 25 minutes for them to get my food to me. I can see that in the middle of a rush, but I ordered it when there were maybe a handful of people in the dining area, I got here before lunch. The batteries in the paper towel dispenser for the men's restroom were so low that it only put out an inch of paper towel at a time. That means they aren't testing it when they refill it. Dear McAlister's Deli gods, can you please put a location on the eastside of Cleveland, preferably in the Mayfield/Beachwood area? Pretty please? I discovered McAlister's while visiting my family in southern Ohio, and now every time I come down McAlister's is a must. One of the things McAlister's is known for is the Sweet Tea. If you only get one thing on the entire menu, make it the sweet tea. If you only get one more thing on the menu go with a super-sized baked potato of your choice. My choice is ALWAYS the spud ole which is topped with chili, cheddar-jack and jalopenos (chef's kiss gif). The same chili and toppings are used on my favorite sharable as well, the ultimate nachos only with more toppings. If more than one of these sounds good don't worry; they have the choose-two. I usually go with the nachos and the grilled chicken salad or the 5 cheese griller and add jalopenos of course, but I have kind of buried the lead with McAlister's. Their sandwich and wraps are really their bread and butter. The 'Deli' part of McAlister's name is what truly separates them from other places. My top 3 are: 1. The McAlister's Club because it is the best club sandwich I have ever had, and I am not a wheat bread kind of guy normally. 2. The Southwest Chicken because the spicy relish in it is just next level. 3. The chicken Caesar because it is consistent and a satisfying classic. So there you have it. McAlister's Deli has some scrumptious sandwiches, huge baked potatoes, healthy salads and famous sweet tea. Today was my first time dining in and the staff was so considerate, checking on you and bussing with out hovering. You order at and pay at the counter or after you directly seat yourself, thru the app. And I love these options. Seriously tho, the food. It's delicious. I've tried the honey BBQ pork spud, the Avacado BLT, the jalapeno turkey crunch, and the McAllister club. I have been a fan McAlister's since 2019. The service has went down drastically 2021. I'm sitting here because I didn't want to forget my experience this time. I ordered the "pair two" I got the sweet and smoky chicken sandwich and chicken tortilla soup. The tortilla chips that came with my soup was literally crumbs. and my food came out on a dirty plate. my soup had hardly any chicken in it so I added some from my sandwich. The sandwich itself is dry with literally a dash of sauce. And before I git my food I asked to exchange my lemonade for a soft drink because it tastes like dish water. I have had McAlister's all over the country, specifically in GA, FL, AL and OH. I have frequented this location several times and typically their food is delicious, fresh, and made correctly. Today, however, at this location in Beavercreek, OH it was a different story. I ordered a chicken club on a Baguette instead of the typical bread it comes on. I also ordered another sandwich with a side of tortilla soup. I received my ordered and rushed away to get back to work, I was in a hurry and should have checked my food. Once I got back to my office, I noticed my order was completely wrong. My chicken club was like a salad with no bread, just lettuce, tomato, and chicken in the box. I had no tortilla chips for my tortilla soup. I called and asked to speak with management, the first manager offered to replace my meal. I explained that I lived about 20 minutes from this location, wouldn't be eating my lunch bc of this inconvenience, and asked for a free meal and a refund. I explained I would drive back once I got off of work. To my dismay, the manager told me that they couldn't give me both, after all I may of eaten the meal. I explained that I was not touching my meal bc it was not what I ordered. I even stated I would bring the meal back. I then asked to speak to their manager, and he offered to replace my meal and add a free cookie. I explained that I would be wasting my time and gas because my meal was made incorrectly. The manager then told me he would throw in a free lemonade. I am a Customer Service manager, and this was awful customer service. In fact it left a nasty taste in my mouth, and I will not frequent this location once I get the meal that I paid for. Update -- I went back and got the meal that I paid for once I got off work. The manager offered me a COOKIE for the inconvenience. A refund and free meal is honestly the only thing that I feel would of been acceptable. My advice to anyone that patronizes this establishment is to check your food before you leave, it will definitely save you a headache, a wasted lunch break, and more importantly your time. read more

The sandwiches here are pretty good! The bread is soft, and you get a good sized amount. I like that their grilled chicken sandwich comes with chicken pieces instead of sliced chicken deli meat. The sandwiches come with a side and I tried their cole slaw. It was alright. I also ordered their potato spud to share, and DAMN that thing was HUGE. But you'd expect that out of a spud, but I guess I got the larger spud. What I like about this place is that it's super easy to put in your order online ahead of time. Maybe I'm bias, and it probably helped that I waited a few months after opening before coming here, but I love McAlister's deli! This deli offers way more (and way tastier) options than Panera. Chose from hot or cold sandwiches, pasta, salads, appetizers, soups, baked potatoes, and more! My recommendation is a McAlister's Club with a bowl of chicken tortilla soup. And don't forget the sweet tea! Always fresh, always delicious. This was my first experience getting a order to go, and while the restaurant did nothing wrong, for next time I'll know to only get soup if I'm dining in. I usually love McAlister's and their food, I tried this location for the first time today and I was not happy/impressed. I placed an order through the app for curbside service. Since I was in my military uniform, it is highly encouraged to NOT go places in uniform due to the current state of things. When I pulled up I called to tell them I had arrived, nobody picked up the phone out of the five times I called. I eventually went in and stood in line waiting for my to go order and the person who "checked me out" said "OH, THIS WAS A CURBSIDE ORDER" and tried to get me to pay a second time for the food I had already paid for 20 minutes before. When I got to work and started eating my sandwich, there was more bread than anything else, and it seemed semi stale. Was hard to even take a bite, I had to tear the sandwich away from my face which made it fall apart. The soup and potato salad were ok, we will see how the Caesar salad tastes. We visited at 7pm tonight, Saturday. Easily a third of the empty tables had not been bused and were covered with dirty dishes. Yuck. What upsets me about this review is that it could have been a 5 start if BOTH the server and the manager to my knowledge would have done the following: I ordered the potato soup which comes "topped" with cheese, bacon and green onions. I asked for no green onions. When I go to check my bag I "see" plain soup. The server in front of the manager says "I put it a ramekin by mistake" I say "ok where are the toppings" they both reply "its at the bottom of the soup we promise" I am STUNNED by this reply- how about "would you like a fresh topping or a new soup" I didn't want a "mix-in" and at this point all i have tasted is potato. What could have taken 2 seconds due to laziness I did NOT get what I ordered. The manager is really nice and the workers are usually really welcoming and happy to help. I have never had an issue with my food or drink. Two sandwiches, 2 sides, 2 pickles, 2 large fountain drinks, 2 large krispie treats = $27. A bit pricey for lunch for 2 but worth it if clean, relaxed and tasty is what you want. Dining area kept clean with crew members working it constantly. But was a little turned off by the sloppy looking kid wiping tables while eating a cookie. Pleasantly surprised! We stopped in on a whim as it looked closed from the outside, but once inside we found it was bustling and the menu was clear and just expansive enough to give you real choices without overwhelming you. I had the club with potato salad and hubby has the super sized club and a potato with bacon. Let me say that potato was HUGE and SO good. We shared a piece of carrot cake... definitely sharing size and so rich! It might be the best carrot cake I've had. Lemonade was good too. If you get a shot of strawberry ask them to go light as the syrup was a bit overpowering but still so good! We will definitely be back! read more

First of all, I've had a difficult time choosing between 2 or 3 stars. I went with 2 because 3 stars indicate "A-OK" and I'm just not feeling that. After eagerly waiting for McAlister's to open (construction seemed to take FOREVER) I was disappointed! And of course, once I realized they were finally open, I couldn't wait to get there. Last night was the night and as we walked in, my first impression was excitement. I saw that they offer a "New Orleans Style Muffuletta"! This is a sandwich that my husband loves, and is not readily available in the Dayton area. As we perused the menu, he was disappointed to see that it was served hot. His experience has been that Muffulettas are served cold. He even had an "authentic" one in New Orleans... which was served cold. But we decided to try it anyway. So we approached the counter to place our order. And this is where my initial excitement really started to fade. The young lady who waited on us was very confused and did not know the menu, or how to place our order on the computer. You can order a whole or half sandwich; she suggested that I order a half because the muffalettas are massive. And she was right. So we ordered one to share between us. And if you know us, and know that we're on the "large" side, that's saying something! She asked us what side we'd like. I looked at the menu and decided on chips. She asked what kind, and I asked what kind do you have. It turns out that they sell Lays products. This surprised me because most trendy sandwich shops serve their one "high end" kettle style chips. Personally, unlike my husband, I don't mind Lays, so I went with Lay's Classic. He attempted to order an additional side, which apparently was almost beyond the capabilities of the young lady waiting on us. Once our order was placed and paid for, we took our sodas and order number and went to find a table in the very large, attractive dining area. I was pleasantly surprised that our order arrived both accurately and in a timely fashion... I had feared that it would be lost in space somewhere. The muffaletta was huge. I'm so glad we didn't each order a whole one... that have been way too much! The sandwich was good. We both think it would have been better served cold. The "olive salad" was ok, but they are very stingy with it. We both would have liked more. All the recipes we've seen for a Muffaletta call for mortadella. Instead of mortadella, they used black forest ham. I think the fact that they have the word "deli" in their name is misleading. "Sandwich Shop" is more accurate. After all, who puts "Black Forest" Ham on an Italian sub or on a New Orleans muffuletta? I noticed a sign in the dining room that McAlister's specializes in regional favorites. Then menu has a wide variety... and is interesting. And despite our initial disappointment, I'm sure we'll go back. The food isn't horrible. And every place deserves a second chance. I was impressed by the attention the workers had. I had to go to the restroom and my young granddaughter went and ordered our food. The cashier noticed I was a senior and my granddaughter was ordering for both of us and gave her the senior discount. They also notice when we got our food we did not have any crackers for our soup and a worker made a point of asking if we would like crackers. It was nice they paid attention to what was going on. I decided to visit McAllister's Deli to take a quick lunch. I immediately noticed the black patio chairs and tables. The large menu behind the ordering counter offers salad and cold sandwich options.They also offer the "Choose Two" meal option. I chose the Taco Salad and the Tuna Croissant Sandwich. After I paid, the cashier handed me a square number for me to place at my table. I found a table and waited for nearly 20 minutes for the half salad and sandwich. I imagined a backed-up kitchen. I finally receive the food, and it looks interesting. For once in my life, I am wondering how to eat a salad. How does one eat this taco salad? Several tortilla chips line the side of the small bowl like a Superbowl party tray. A generous helping of chili and beans, sour cream, and guacamole sit in the several corners of the bowl. Mix it together? Dip the chips in the whole thing? I start by dipping the tortilla chips into the "mixture." It doesn't look like there are enough chips for dipping. After eating the 5 chips, I mix the guacamole and some of the sour cream into the lettuce. O.k, this works. The Tuna Salad on the Croissant tastes creamy, buttery, and rich. If you like cold sandwiches, come here. When I visited, I felt that the ordering system took forever and it seemed inefficient. If I have time to kill, I wouldn't mind visiting for a long lunch. read more

I went here for a quick lunch with my coworkers and we dined in. This place is like a cheaper Panera with some more unique options - such as these "giant spuds". I decided to have the veggie one, and since I'm trying to watch my dairy intake, I asked for no cheese sauce. The spud was pretty large and came with broccoli, red peppers, and onions, none of which were really cooked. It probably would have been better with the cheese sauce, but it was still pretty good, decently priced ($6.49) and filling. Noting to write home about, though, as someone who has plain potatoes on an every other day basis. The staff was friendly and brought the food out to us and cleaned up after us as well. Jules and I found ourselves here while out on a shopping run in Beavercreek before our annual New Year's Eve bash. We'd seen signs for this place about to come in, but weren't sure what to make of it. Authentic deli food? Could it be? Well, authenticity may not be McAlister's entire purview--pastrami on rye was on the menu, though didn't appeal at the time--their variety of sandwiches was surely something to behold. If it can be found between two slices of bread, you can be sure that McAlister's has it. I did have slight issue with the set up and ordering system at McAlister's. Mind you, we visited only about a month or two after the restaurant opened, so some growing pains are to be expected. That said, ordering and receiving our drinks felt like a clunky process that even the staff wasn't quite familiar with. In fact, upon ordering, Jules' soup didn't arrive, despite the fact that we'd been billed for it. However, the waitress who brought our food was quick to remedy the mistake. The food itself? Very tasty! My pot roast sandwich was toothsome and definitely tasted like it came from a real pot roast, rather than a boil-in-a-bag melange. The bread sopped up its delicious gravy nicely while still holding up to the sloppy sandwich. My chicken tortilla soup had good consistency and flavor while providing just a touch of heat on the back end. With many restaurants around the Fairfield Commons area, McAlister's has quite a bit of competition, but they seem to be the only real sandwich joint on the block. Hopefully they'll be able to capitalize on this; if they get a few service issues figured out, they'll have our business for quite a while! read more

Abosulte crap, showed up to my wedding to drop off the sandwiches and soup order I had placed, was extremely rude to my sister in law helping put everything on the tables making smartass comments. ontop of bringing the wrong soup when i specifically ordered loaded potatoe, I got chicken tortillini thats not even close to the same thing. called the day after the wedding to see if i could get some money back or something for the fact of them messing up, and the lady told me she would send out a gift card and take some money off the payment. never heard anything back and just kept ignoring my messages and phone calls. Let's be honest: this Beavercreek location barely even deserves this one star I'm mercifully offering. They're slow, serve food not up to McAlisters standards, and the staff is just not as friendly as other locations. My husband ordered simple macaroni as a side but instead received a soupy mess. How do you screw up macaroni that badly? We've given this location other chances as we generally enjoy their food, but usually end up disappointed in some way or another. Craving deli food?
