Chipotle chicken spud (technically half) and French Dip half.

Really fresh food here and their health score is 100!!. The team is really nice and the food is so light and delicious! Also, even the bathrooms smell good. Really nice place to visit for lunch.

    Check.

The food was as the menu indicated. My wife ordered a Chicken Chipotle Spud, the potato was below serving temperature. I ordered a 1/2 sandwich (French Dip as a wrap) and 1/2 salad. My meal was served at correct temperature. My food was adequate. There appeared to be a less than adequate staffing, (1 order taker for a peak business time, Sunday lunch). Delivery of food timing was less than expected. Our delivery was 20 min, the rest of our party was 32 min. (Inadequate kitchen staffing?). There were tables that were not bussed at an appropriate timing, reducing the available tables. The ambiance was less than expected. The flooring was not cleaned adequately. We sat at a high top table just to the right of the front door. The temperature outside was 50 deg F. The closer on the door was malfunctioning. For that reason the door did not close as guests entered. This caused the temperature in the restaurant to be approximately 53 deg F near the door. We wound up moving to a different table, meaning that our party of 6 could not sit at the same table. I reported the door closer malfunction to the manager. She stated that a work order had been entered, but offered no other resolution to the issue. It is my opinion that the issue with the door closer will not be resolved any time soon. All told, in the past we have visited this same location and been pleased with the food and service. Unfortunately this location needs a change of management and hiring a different staff in order to meet the high standard that I know McAlister's has for its locations.

McAlister's is normally a favorite of mine. Today, however, I had a disappointing experience. I went in and the line was long so I decided to put in a to go order online. I completed my order at 1:21 pm and I was told that my order would be ready at 1:41 pm. At 1:41 pm and asked for an update and the guy up front told me that my order was on the screen and would be ready in a minute. My girlfriend and I waited an additional 15 minutes in the lobby as we watched the people in the back making in the food live their best lives preparing the food slowly. One of the girls (partially dyed hair) had on gloves and then answered her phone with those same gloves and proceeded to hang up the phone and continue to prepare food with those same gloves. A couple of people who were waiting on their food for a long time just like us asked for an update on their food and whenever the front counter staff asked that same girl where the food was, she seemed to lack concern for the status of their order and continued to move at a snail's pace. The rest of the staff was pretty nice but the girl in the back displayed a mediocre work ethic. She was beyond the weakest link of the entire crew. I believe they were short staffed today but put the final nail in the coffin of a bad experience. The ambiance was normal. I ordered a bowl of Chilli and it tasted like canned Hormel. I don't know who can eat an entire bowl of that. My gf ordered the Chicken and Dumplings and it was thick and overcooked and barely had any chicken. It looked like cat food. I didn't even want a bite. Lol. And the pickle that came with the King Club had a nasty flavor. Tasted like it had been marinating in a mason jar with vinegar and an old church shoe.

This is a fantastic restaurant with a calm atmosphere! The food is wonderful! Come visit Issue is every time my wife an I come in (3-4 times a week) the tables are not bussed and whipped off. See these photos attached. Their excuse is "we just had a big rush". No matter the time this place always has more than 4 tables to be busses.

Food is great! I really like their jalapeño turkey crunch but I've been pretty happy with everything I've gotten here.

A prominent menu board greets you while waiting in line, complemented by another at the ordering counter for easy perusal. The restrooms are spotless and spacious, with surprisingly comfortable seating, while the thoughtful interior design and ample, easy-to-navigate parking further enhance the overall experience. Service was genuinely attentive and warm. Multiple staff members checked in on us throughout the meal, and the team maintained a diligent pace in clearing and cleaning tables to keep the space pristine. A minor hiccup with our order was quickly resolved--though it required a bit of coordination--thanks to their persistence, ensuring we received everything as intended. The beverage station offers Coca-Cola products alongside fresh sweet tea, unsweet tea, and lemonade. The sweet tea stands out as a refreshing standout: properly brewed, balanced, and genuinely flavorful without the cloying sweetness that plagues so many others. The Food: The cheese bread arrives as a fluffy, light delight with an ideal cheese-to-bread ratio. For a barbecue joint, it's exceptionally well-executed and harmonizes beautifully with the casual, smoky setting. The Morgan White sauce wings are nothing short of outstanding--meaty, perfectly cooked, and coated in a distinctive, vibrant sauce with just the right peppery zing to make your taste buds sing. I could easily devour dozens. Equally impressive are the Mango Habanero wings, which deliver a masterful balance of sweet and heat that builds gradually without overwhelming. The smoke from the cooking process shines through, and the generous portions include both drums and flats for excellent textural variety. These require no ranch to shine. The deviled eggs were competent but unmemorable--perfectly cooked, yet heavy on onion with muted overall flavor. They're unlikely to earn a repeat order. The ribs arrived in a solid portion of three generous pieces. They boast a deep, competition-style smoke with a firm bite that yields nicely upon chewing, leaving satisfying tooth marks. Not overly sauced or seasoned, they let the quality of the meat and smoke speak for themselves--an approach I deeply appreciate. The marble brisket, unfortunately, proved a disappointment. Though beautifully trimmed with good bark and seasoning, and passing the pull-apart and finger tests with ease, it was exceptionally dry. A rare miss that I won't be repeating. In contrast, the sausage is top-tier: excellent snap in the casing, flavorful filling, and spot-on texture. The cheddar jalapeño variety is very good, though I'd love to see a classic plain option alongside it. They've clearly mastered the difficult art of sausage-making here. The pulled pork offers a generous portion with great texture, visible bark, and pronounced smoke. The turkey breast was surprisingly moist for the category--certainly far better than the brisket--with a clean smoke and seasoning profile that might even convert non-turkey enthusiasts. Sides were a mixed bag. The coleslaw is lightly dressed, allowing the vegetables' natural flavors to come through with a pleasant peppery bite. It's solid but could use a touch more dressing for my taste. The French fries, however, are exceptional--crispy, beautifully seasoned, and dangerously addictive; they nearly stole the show before the mains arrived. The beans were a miss, with a peculiar tomato-sweet-vinegar profile that strayed far from traditional barbecue expectations. I wouldn't order them again. The mac and cheese arrived looking appealing but fell short in execution: overcooked noodles with a mushy, somewhat grainy texture and muted flavor, suggesting the sauce may have broken during preparation. Sauces were serviceable. The pepper vinegar paired wonderfully with the pork, while the Carolina mustard offered a creamy, mildly biting twist. The house ranch, however, was disappointingly bland and inferior to the benchmarks set by chains like Wingstop or Texas Roadhouse. Overall Ratings: * Service: A * Cleanliness: A * Layout & Ambiance: B Food: * S-tier: Morgan White wings, Mango Habanero wings, cheese bread * A-tier: Cheddar jalapeño sausage, ribs, French fries * B-tier: Turkey breast, pulled pork * C-tier: Coleslaw, deviled eggs, mac & cheese * D-tier: Brisket * F-tier: Beans, ranch, table BBQ sauce This is a comfortable, well-run spot with several standout items--particularly those magnificent wings and sausage--that make it worth visiting. With a few refinements on the weaker proteins and sides, it could easily rise to the top tier of local barbecue destinations

It was a waste of time and money. First off, I hated their cheese dip. If you have ever been to El Vaquero, you can tell it is real cheese that is used for the dip. This one tasted so artificial and plastic like I could not stomach it. Secondly, their salsa was way too chunky and full of onions. The chips were fine but undersalted. For my main portion, I always stick to a burrito. I tried a carne asada burrito. I thought no Mexican restaurant could fail at a burrito. I was mistaken. It was soggy, limp, and the carne asada was becoming mush in it. I have no clue how my entire meal turned into a pile of gloop, but it did. I did not even eat a third of my food, even though I was irked that I wasted my money here. Everything was just bland and wet. Although our server was nice and friendly, I would never give this place a shot again.
