What is supposed to be cheese dip to go with Nacho Basket

My mother and children dined here 6/9/2025 for lunch. My daughter sent me a picture, which looks disgusting, but is cheese dip. She couldn't even eat it. She didn't send it back as she described "I lost my appetite ". Things have gotten too expensive to get such a poor meal. But this should have never been served! It should have been trashed. Mom said the whole meal was a let down (as she loves McAlisters) and said she would not be returning

    Ultimate Nachos

I stopped in for lunch and he restaurant appeared clean and as inviting! I decided to go to the restroom before ordering and when I walked into the bathroom, the floor was extremely sticky!! When I left back into the dining room, everyone could hear my shoes sticking to the floor!! I ordered the Ultimate Nachos, without jalapeños or olives. When it came, they had left off the olives and jalapeños, but it had VERY LITTLE on it! They failed to give me the sour cream and green onions, and the center chips had a small scoop of chili, barely any cheese dip, and even less shredded colby jack! They also failed to give me any silverware!! What a mess! If it wasn't for the price, I wouldn't have thought that much about it, but basically I paid $8 for chips, and the other $3 to $4 was for the sliver of avocado and cup of chili. Not worth the money! On top of all of that, I could see the kitchen cooks and helpers, and not one of them were wearing any type of personal protective equipment (PPE) to avoid cross-contamination! I don't think I will ever be back!

First time eating at McAllister's. The restaurant is clean and I love the decor. The staff was very friendly and the sandwiches were magnificent!

At McAlister's they have huge potato's with a lot of toppings, it will fill you up. The iced tea is very good here.

Go to the counter, Order, Get a number and they bring to the table style dining. Hubby loves the Muffuletta and he just can't find it around here. I like that they allow you to pick different bread that what might show up on the menu board. Tea is always good. Potatoes, Sandwiches, and few desserts. If you want a sandwich this place works and they are usually fast at bring the food to the table. I get the Chicken Club on Ciabatta bread and love that. Broccoli Cheese Soup is really good, very cheesy and we get it every time as our side dish.

When traveling McAlister's is a must go to place. Great sandwich's and their ice tea is the best. I only wish they were in ARIZONA.

Great food, but service was slow due to lack of people. They might need to hire an extra person in the afternoon.

Delicious, yes... but the body eventually starts asking for a vegetable and a reset. The space itself matches that feeling. Simply decorated, with bright murals, clean lines, and a cheerful, easygoing vibe that feels light the moment you walk in. My husband gave me full ordering authority, which is always a bold move. I went straight into tapas mode because everything on the menu looked too good to choose just one. We ended up with a spread: chicken pot pie (which quickly abandoned any "small plate" intentions), field greens and baby spinach, a shrimp and crawfish cake, and one of each of Rosy's authentic hand-rolled tamales. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying without that heavy, road-trip food fatigue. The mint lemonade was refreshing and delicious, a little on the sweet side, but it worked. Service, while perfectly fine, could benefit from a warmer welcome and a bit more guidance, especially for first-timers trying to navigate such an inviting menu. A little extra friendliness up front would go a long way here. Our only real regret? Not saving room for dessert. They looked very tempting, and we'll be thinking about that missed opportunity. If you're on the road and craving something lighter without sacrificing flavor, this spot is a welcome pause.

Ambiance and interior of the restaurant is fine. FOOD- FANTASTIC. Very flavorful Mediterranean food, cooked well and arrived to the table hot. Granted, it took over an hour to get to us, but more on that below. We ordered the Mediterranean feast, fig bruschetta and house salads which were all great. Tasty tzatziki and pita. The dolma that my mother ordered as her meal came out about 15 minutes after everyone else's food were okay. Overall solid food with no complaints. SERVICE- Our waiter, Harmony, (who mentioned it was only her second day on the job), is the main reason my review is not much more dissatisfied. But make no mistake, the patrons at the table near us were livid with the service they received as well. We stood at the entrance to the restaurant for over 15 minutes, with several staff walking by and not acknowledging our presence or asking to put us on a waitlist but rather averting their eyes and rushing by. (The sign at front asked us to wait to be seated). When I was finally able to flag someone down, they said it would be around 15 minute wait which we were more than okay with, considering the holiday weekend. However, they did not take our name down and we continued to wait; had to flag another waitress down who then helped us to a table shortly after. We then sat without so much as water or anyone stopping by our table to let us know they would be by soon to take our drink order. It seemed unclear if the staff even knew what tables were assigned to them. Once we were able to flag the waitress, Harmony, down, she was kind enough to take our order and adopt our table even though she was not our assigned waitress (seemingly). The waitress who was then supposed to be ours came by 15-20 minutes later and we let her know we already had been helped. Harmony was very attentive, doing everything in her power to get our alcoholic beverages and food to our table faster, letting us know she checked on the kitchen several times. I have no problem with food being slower, especially on a holiday weekend. However, what really turned me off to the experience is the response of who seemed to be the owner/manager of the place. She was walking around saying hi to several tables multiple times and checked on our table at the very end. When I brought up our frustrations, she dismissed my concerns and nonchalantly said "oh it's the holiday weekend" as the reason for our sub-optimal service. This is certainly a cop out, considering we saw 3 tables near us get seated and served before we even ordered. One waitress even commented "Oh they put y'all in the dark, forgotten corner" and laughed. Even when presented an out as I asked the owner if they were understaffed as that could be a reasonable explanation, she said no. All in all, it is a shame the way this place is being run and the food is truly something special. Hopefully the owner sees this review and takes it under advisement.
