This is my third time coming to this location, but my second time my order was not right.

Ordered a sandwich from this location and have several times before with no issues. This time there was a large ant in the lettuce of my sandwich so I called the store and requested a refund. Sent proof via picture as requested. The people working in the store were kind and contacted the store manager and owner about requesting one and I was denied a refund despite there being an insect in my sandwich from their store. They offered to remake the sandwich, but who would want a sandwich and the potential for another insect to be in it. We are talking about an $8 refund and they would rather lose business. Wouldn't recommend this location. read more

I wish I could not put any stars on Firehouse Subs. I have had $100 gift card that won't be accepted OR reimbursed to me. I showed them that the $100 was on the card, but, since their computers can't read it, they refuse to help me out. I even reached out to the owners of Firehouse via email and there was no response! Then I called their 800 customer service line numerous times, waited on hold....... SHOCKING! No one answered my 5 separate calls! I am bewildered as to why customers have rated this restaurant as three stars. I eat here a lot and my experience is always the same! When you walk in the door, you are greeted with "Welcome to FireHouse"! You place your order and they come out right every single time. They have an abundance of meat and whatever you choose for them to put on it.....every time! The restaurant is always neat and clean and they do a fantastic job of making the subs and getting them out as soon as possible. I highly recommend going to the Western Avenue store. when I walked in I realize first off that this placed needed a mop and a broom. The cashier with tattoos and big muscles needed a fresh attitude he didn't smile, he didn't make eye contact and I felt like he had a chip on his shoulder. It was only him and another girl ONLY !!!!!! I went over to the drink fountain after I placed my order and it was so nasty!!! Like even the outside of the garbage can was nasty with every inch of the floor. I got home to eat and it look as if she put the lettuce on top of the bread and for some reason I couldn't eat all of it, my stomach started to hurt. Maybe something is old in the sandwhich and as I type this I feel like weird in my stomach. Note: I just moved from Huntsville , AL and the fire subs there is Amazing!!! I love the idea behind the brand and the fact that there are ways to support those who serve local communities in their fire departments. As for the food, my favorite sandwich is the hook and ladder. It's piled high with turkey and ham, melty cheese, lettuce, mayo, and deli mustard. I skip on the tomato and onion per my own preference. There's a hint of sweetness there as well, that I'm assuming comes from the ham (sugar cured or honey ham maybe?). It's even better that the sandwiches are served hot with a dill spear on the side. The only down side is that the portions tend to be a tad big for me. They only have medium and large options for the sandwiches and drinks. I am a huge Firehouse Sub fan. When I was working close to this location I was here at least once a week sometimes more. I would either have it for lunch or pick it up on the way home. I like the crew that works the lunch hours. The manager, Niarobi ,is a really nice guy who makes sure everything is done to perfection and the restaurant is kept very clean, well stocked and inviting. He always welcomes people as they come in and always seems to remember my order when I visit. Maybe I go a little too much. But I kinda like having a place I know will get it done right the first time. The sweet tea is always perfect and fresh, never something old left in the container until it's nasty. It might cost a little more than the other place named after Mass transit. But it's so worth it, so very much worth every nom nom bite. I am a huge Firehouse fan but this location is all about who is working when. I've been to this location about 10 times and can say that I have enjoyed about 75% of my visits. Some visits the staff is welcoming and friendly, while sometimes they look bored and frustrated. Sometimes the sandwiches are thrown together, while sometimes they look like the picture. All together a good location and very tasty..... But if you walk in and a member of the staff sighs, I would recommend to to turn around and enjoy your meal elsewhere. read more
