I've been to this location 3 times now, and I have been pleased each time. They are efficient, friendly and accommodating. Mgr walks around checking on customers to ensure all is well. All the staff are very friendly and go out their way to talk to children etc... Only issue was my Reuben sandwich was oddly cut in half, meaning instead of 2 equal halfs, I have a large and small portion. No biggie! Mgr. offered to remake it. We love McAlister's! The service is always great and the food is super tasty. My personal favorite is the Chicken Chipotle sandwich with a cup of tortilla soup! It is just the right amount of smoky and sweet. I usually add a Diet Coke to make the meal complete. However, if you are a tea person, this is your place. My family loves to come here and get a large glass of sweet tea because it is delicious and freshly made each day! My kids are almost out of getting kids meals now but they would recommend getting a Mac and cheese meal with applesauce. In fact, they used to call McAlister's The Mac and Cheese place. It's a homemade meal, not a box of Kraft. I've also tasted it and it's fabulous. McAlister's can be a difficult place to navigate if you've never been there because there are so many good things to try. The salads are huge. The potatoes are ginormous!!! All of the soups are scrumptious and there are also always fresh made treats-Rice Krispie's, cookies as big as your hand and brownies: Yum-o! McAlister's knows how to do deli right. Typically I'm not a deli sandwich person, but their variety of breads and spreads take deli to the next level. Can't beat the Orange Cranberry Turkey Club with a side of creamy mac n cheese! They have a good selection on the kid's menu as well and for $2.79 each, it's affordable. We enjoy eating on the outside patio when the weather is nice too. They are fairly quick fulfilling orders but can get pretty busy on Sundays around noon. read more

Today was mine and my boyfriend's first time trying out McAlister's. We were PLEASANTLY surprised! The decor is nice, but not really my taste (had no bearing on my rating, but just thought I'd mention). I got the pick two: a 1/2 french dip sandwich and a bacon 'spud' as they call it (love the name!). Mine was really good, and was plenty to fill me up! I was totally satisfied but not feeling like I was about to explode. The bread was fresh and tasty. I have no complaints about the meat or the au jus. Overall I'd definitely get the sandwich again. The baked potato was average. It was just a loaded baked potato - was cooked well, but there wasn't anything 'wow' about it. They do have a whole variety of spuds on the menu, so I'd definitely be up for trying a different one next time. I also go the sweet peach tea, which I would not get again. I prefer a sweet sweet tea and lots of peach flavoring, but this was a lighter rendition - if you enjoy that, you'll love the tea. My boyfriend got the pot roast sandwich, which he let me try. He absolutely loved it, and I did as well. It has red peppers on it, which I would have them hold, but the meat was YUM-O! It comes with a gravy dipping sauce that has a wonderful peppery tone to it (but not spicy at all). He got the chips which were good but not 'wow.' He also got the strawberry lemonade which he did not care for. I thought it was good, but needed more strawberry. The staff was, I think, a bunch of high school and/or college kids out of school for the summer, but they were very friendly and professional. The manager did seem stressed for some reason, but then again they were fairly busy. Overall, we felt like this lunch date was a win, and we'll definitely be back to try out the other offerings! I enjoyed the food at the McAlister's in Kenwood, but I did not enjoy the poor customer service. So the next time I ate at McAlister's I went to the one in Mason. It was a very positive experience. I got a veggie club, and a spud with veggie chili. It was delicious, and because I was wearing green that day (St.Patrick's Day) I was given a free cookie. I thought that was cool. The customer service was wonderful. Everyone was very nice. My sandwich was delicious, as was my baked potato, and cookie. I have recommended this place to my friends and family. read more

The food is always amazing. Its my sons favorite restaurant and since we dont live close to one every time I get close to one i always stop in and pick up his favorite meal. Today i was running errands and placed my order and paid online and ended up going to the wrong location for pick up. The customer service could not have been better. I'd say McAllister's is a good value. They do what they do well at a reasonable price. Their baked potatoes are truly massive. I prefer steamed or foil-wrapped potatoes that have soft, edible skins. They are not that way, unfortunately, but the size and flavor still make them worthwhile. I recommend it for lunch since the soup and sandwich situation is excellent. They have lots of great lunch specials (particularly the half sandwich and salad or soup) that are perfectly portioned. I love that you order at the counter and find your own table and they bring you the food "fast casual style". Mcallister's Deli is hit or miss depending on the location, the food is always good but the service varies from location to location but this is one of the better locations in the Cincinnati Area. First time eating at McAlisters. I ordered the 2 for one chicken salad croissant and the pecan salad. Both were excellent. I also had to try the much raved about sweet tea, being from the south it is my favorite beverage choice. I'm not a sandwich connoisseur, but I love a good sandwich. What I look for in a sandwich: 1. The Meat - you don't need a variety of 30 stale meats, you need a few good meats. Most of the meats here taste like they were fished out of a dumpster. 2. The Bread: You need fresh bread to make a sandwich, baked no more than 3 hours ago. All the breads I've tried at McAlister's deli taste like they were either baked last week, or last month. 3. Sauces: the sauces on a sandwich don't need to be fancy. A good sandwich can be prepared with some cheap vinegar, some extra virgin olive oil and some oregano. It's really hard to get sauce wrong, but at McAlister the sauces are just greasy and bland. They managed to get the sauce wrong. Not a fan of what they have to offer. You end up with a dry yet greasy sandwich that will suck the flavor right out of your soul. read more

Really like this place, ordered the BLT it was loaded with bacon. The waitress was friendly, though you may want to go early for lunch as the line can get long. The tea was excellent. The menus has a wide selection of salads, soup of the day, and sandwiches among other things. Good place to eat if you are in a hurry to get back to work after lunch. read more
