Dixie chick, Olivia's old south, pimento dip & Broccoli Salad 10/10 go to sharing order.

We love chicken salad. We love making it ourselves.. but I think we all have times where we just don't want to make things and it's wonderful to find a place who makes homemade fresh chicken salad that doesn't taste like it came from a bucket- like the ones at the supermarket. We have tried every flavor and our three favorites are Olivia's Old South (sweeter side), Dixie Chick (oniony- savory) & lemon basil. My mom loves getting a scoop of Olivia and Dixie, then mixing them- which I must say is great! Typically we buy a few containers at a time.. their spicy pimento and regular pimento are so great! Perfect on crackers or pita chips. We also love the broccoli salad. It's always crunchy and never limp. We will be ordering a few large pimentos for the Super Bowl!

Holy yum, you guys! I've been scouring the Dayton area for a new chicken salad, since Kroger changed theirs and I don't like the new recipe. This stuff is SO good!! The pasta salad isn't drenched in Italian dressing, but it's also not dry. They have 12 different varieties of chicken salad, sides, sandwiches, and desserts. The mobile menu is a little smaller, (things that are easy for transport), but I got the impression that if you wanted something that wasn't on the menu, they could accommodate that. They're based in Mason, but they occasionally do pop-ups in the Dayton area. You order ahead of time, you go to wherever they are, and then get your order, already bagged up and ready to go. Easy ordering, easy pickup, and I even got a free cookie for filling out a survey. I really can't wait until they come back to the area! Chicken Salad Chick

Okay the place was packed as it had just opened. I thought the food was good, but not amazing. The idea is fun and the place was very clean and everyone was very cheerful. I came in with 2 other people and we all ordered something different. I ended up swapping my Mac and Cheese for some soup and to me the Mac and Cheese wasn't the best, and I soup was better. The Chicken Salad was good that I ordered, the Sassy something. My friend ordered one of the fruity versions that was okay, but not great. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. I personally love chicken salad and I love the idea, but not sure if I will be back.

My husband and I love CSC!! We really enjoy chicken salad and love coming here. Especially when we want something that's good but still light. I'm so happy we discovered this location bc its not too far from our house. I thought the nearest one was in Oakley. However, I was wrong. We'll be coming here more often knowing this location is here. I ordered a scoop of the Classic Carol with pasta salad. My husband always orders the Classic Carol on a croissant. The Classic Carol is their base/original chicken salad. It's simple yet flavorful! If you like chicken salad you'll enjoy CSC! What I like is that their food is consistent. I've had them at another location in Ohio as well as in Alabama. The food taste the same and is always tasty at any location so that's a plus. Overall, give CSC a try!

Oh my this place is so cute, clean, and inviting. They even have a drive thru. This was our first time here and absolutely loved it. The customer service was amazing. Mia took our order and helped us decide what to get. They allow you to try samples so you know if you like it before you order. They have several options of different flavors of Chicken Salad and different options for how you want it. You can have it on salad, as a sandwich on white bread, wheat bread, or on a croissant, or just as a scoop! They also have soups and salad, as well as a few other sandwiches to choose from. You can make a combo of you want. I had the Barbie - Q Chicken Salad on toasted wheat bread, side salad, cookie, and a pickle. My husband had, a scoop of Fancy Nancy Chicken Salad, Chicken Artichoke Florentine Soup, and a cookie. It was nice that the cookie came with the meal. Everything was so good and very fresh tasting. You walk in, order and pay at the counter and then they bring it to you. They even have a Quick Chick "Grab and Go" section by the counter so you can take some home. We hope to return soon and we recommend this place.

So it appears that Chicken Salad Chicks is not concerned about first impressions. Upon arriving there was a sign on the door that started out Dining Room open for To Go orders only. I stopped reading at that point and entered in because I understood what it indicated. As I entered I step to the side as the lady was busy preparing orders and seeing the drive up lane back out the driveway I understood she was busy. A lady patiently waiting on the bench stepped up and I believe wanted to make a change to her order. The counter lady yelled back asking if the were working on so and so's order. They indicated it was finished so the counter lady told the customer her request for the change could not be done because her order was done. I stepped back and was like WOW. Working on both food services and customer service I knew this was a wow moment. Next the counter lady looked at me and asked for the name on the order and she rudely indicated they were only doing online orders only and if I wanted to go sit on the bench I could place an order. Later with other customers we determined that the sign read incorrectly do the counter lady went to get the sign to ask us how to clarify. We explained that To Go orders can be placed inside so maybe wording if that the dining room was open to online orders only may have been clearer. She had an ah ha moment. I placed my order and got the basic, fancy Nancy, Buffalo and pimento cheese. I also got the broccoli salad. Make sure to stir because it is made ahead and dries out. They were all tasty but nothing was worth the twenty minute drive and frustration of the frustrating counter lady. Overall it was just ok and would probably only return if someone requested we go but try it out for yourself. I hope you have a better experience but for now, I'm good.

You get plenty of crackers for your chicken salad.

I loved everything about this place! They have super fast drive thru service and the friendliest staff. I had the two scoops and soup. The classic carol chicken salad was the perfect mix of creamy and savory and the Holly Jalapeño is my favorite chicken salad ever with perfect spice and flavor. Their tomato soup was creamy and perfect! I love that you get a pickle spear and a COOKIE! Just the perfect lunch!! Can't wait to go back.

Menu. Plenty of chicken salad choices.

Fun new lunch spot. I hadn't heard of CSC until I heard one was opening in Mason, OH. I'm so glad it's here. I had been interested in trying it since the "grand opening". I have to admit I was a little hesitant, because I'm a picky eater and I'm extremely picky about my chicken salad preferences. I finally gave it a try 2 weeks ago and I've been there 1 other time since. I was so pleasantly surprised that I've have been there twice in two weeks. .The first time I went I ordered takeout. I decided to go with the recommendation of a friend by trying the Dixie Chick chicken salad. I ordered the Dixie Chick sandwich served on a croissant.with a side of chicken tortilla soup. The croissant was just like I like them-fresh and light and fluffy. According to the menu the DC salad I'd the "most offensive" CS on the menu because it was a good amount of onion in it. It was tasty CS with great flavor and I didn't find the onion to be over powering. There was just the right amount of onion in the CS. I was happy with my choice. The chicken tortilla soup had great flavor and hot the spot on a a dreary wet day. I ordered a Fancy Nancy CS sandwich on a croissant for a friend and he liked it as well. He said it was fresh and flavorful. For my second visit I dined in and tried a scoop of Buffalo Barclay on lettuce. It was delicious. Great CS with a slight kick to it. I liked it so much that I'm already planning in my mind my next trip to get some more. I'm thinking of buying a little container worth so I can have it for lunch at work 2 days. This time I went with the loaded potato soup for my side. It was also delicious. As a side note, each meal is served with a little butter cream Cheryl's cookie. It's touched like these that make this restaurant feel less chain like. The restaurant decor is homey and southern style cute. It is well decorated and spotless. There are plenty of tables spread throughout the restaurant. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic. The second time I was offered to sample whatever I wanted before ordering. I only tried the buffalo barclay and the decision was made. Feel free to ask for a few samples of you are interested in taste testing before you decide. On my second visit I noticed that there's a convenient drive through to the right of the door. I might have to give that a try the next time. Both times I've visited there were extra staff standing around idle and chit chatting with one another- as a business owner this concerned me a bit. I hope they are watching those expenses because I'd hate to see this place closed in a year. The only downside I can think of right now is that CSC is only open until 6pm daily. This would make it nearly impossible for me to go there for dinner on a week night. It should also be noted that they are closed on Sunday's. That's a-ok with me because everyone needs a break. If you haven't tried Chicken Salad Chicks head on over and give it a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

This was on my bucket list after hearing NPRs Guy Raz podcast "how I built that" episode on the founder of Chicken Salad Chick. It was so interesting even my husband wanted to go! Wow...I knew I would like this place but it exceeded my expectations. The servers were so polite they reminded me of all the Chick Fil A employees. The inside was decorated so nice and I loved the vinyl patterned table cloths. The cashiers let you try any type of chicken salad before you purchase. It was a little stressful not knowing what type of chicken salad to get as all of them look so good. A line quickly forms as it is a pretty busy place! Every single item we had we enjoyed! So so good! I wish they were open later than 6pm as it is difficult for me to get home from work by then.

Chicken Salad Chick is a MUST try if you are ever in the Mason area for lunch or dinner! I have been twice for lunch, and have had fantastic experiences both times. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the wait for food is not long and the meal is delicious! My favorite thing to get is the option where you can pick 2. I usually get one scoop of chicken salad on a croissant and then another scoop of chicken salad or pimento cheese on the side. My two favorites are buffalo barclay (buffalo chicken flavor) and then sassy Scotty (bacon with cheese). If you don't want two scoops, you can choose from a variety of sides like soup, broccoli salad and Mac and cheese! Chicken salad chicken also has to go containers as well if you want to take more home! If you come, don't forget to sign up for their rewards program through their app! Every $1 spent = 1 point and 100 points gets you $5 and then 125 gets you a free scoop or sandwich. They also have perks like double point day and a birthday reward!

Due to this we almost always just get cheese pizza which we have grown to love and a good cheese pizza can be amazing but toppings are a nice change! Anyway, I got a piece of cheese pizza and a piece with meatball and onions. I enjoyed both a great deal. The meatball/onion combo are very flavorful and enhanced the cheese pizza a great deal.... Then I had the piece of cheese pizza and I have become boring and just love the simplicity of the cheese pizza and Tony makes a great slice of cheese pizza! Maybe get meatballs on the side next time is what I am thinking. We ordered the small salad and LOVED the Balsamic Vinaigrette (Tony mentioned it was homemade)... It was a fresh salad that we shared so it was cool that we could get the croutons and the cheese On the side.... Husband doesn't like them but I think they make the salad :) We had a very nice experience and I look forward to coming back and trying the gravy fries.

I stopped in today and, as always, ended up finding way more than I planned. First, you absolutely cannot leave without trying the bakery. I picked up their pecan salted caramel brownies, and these things are KILLER ( thus their name Killer Brownies) They have one of the best bakery selections I've come across, and everything looked so fresh and tempting. I also grabbed some sourdough bread and a salted soft pretzel. Their meat selection is fantastic too. We picked up some specialty brats, including Hawaiian brats with pineapple and brown sugar and Bourbon Peach brats. I also couldn't resist their gourmet blended burgers. For my wife, I grabbed the Steakhouse Burger, which is infused with provolone, A.1. sauce, garlic, salt, and pepper. For myself, I went with the Philly Burger, loaded with peppers, onions, and cheese sauce. Talk about taking burgers to another level! Yes, Dorothy Lane Market is more expensive than your average grocery store, but you can really see and taste the difference in the quality. From the bakery to the specialty meats and prepared foods, this is definitely a place where you're paying for quality. If you're a foodie--or just like discovering great specialty grocery stores--Dorothy Lane Market is worth the trip. I walked in for a few things and walked out with enough food to plan several meals.
