First off, I love the renovations. The restaurant looks fresh and more open now. Today I stopped by for lunch with a co-worker and really enjoyed the McAlisters club on ciabatta bread, and a side of potato soup. It was delicious but no meal is complete without McAlister's sweet tea, so that took my meal from good to great! My initial review was 9 years ago, and I've come regularly ever since then. So I ordered my first order from this store after moving here and it was for curbside delivery. I had just got caught in a rainstorm and was soaking wet and didn't want to come in. After waiting 20 minutes past the "ready time" they gave me, I finally went in and my order was right there. So, I don't know what the deal is but they need to get their stuff together. I was first introduced to this restaurant chain back in Virginia when our neighbor offered to pick up some lunch for us and told us that she knew a spot with great Reuben sandwiches ! We were not disappointed. They were great and the potato salad was also good. I've gone back for a few more visits. It's a dependable lunch spot. The chicken Caesar salad is good, but unfortunately, the chicken did not have much flavor. The dressing was good. I would suggest that you stick to the Reuben. The food is "fine." But there is a continuing problem with two things regarding curbside pickup orders. First, regardless of day or time, the orders are never ready on time. Be prepared to wait an extra ten minutes beyond the time quoted, no matter when, no matter what. The second issue is that the restaurant *refuses* to address or punish the entitled @-holes that continue to park in the curbside pickup spots, leaving no parking available for those who are actually doing curbside pickup! If thry can't follow clearly-marked signs, call them out while they'rein the restaurant and force them to move their car, or tow their entitled butts! Teach them a lesson. Make an example of them. Curbside pickup means curbside pickup; not parking for those who think they're special! They're screwing it up for legitimate curbside pickup customers. read more

Drive by this many times so decided to give it a try. Parked right up front and it wasn't really busy. Walked in and followed the path to the menu boards. Once you decide you step up to a cashier. Was only one but again it wasn't busy. She was very nice and polite. Told her I hadn't been here before so she helped me. Ordered the McCalister club. It is stacked with meat and cheese and veg. Also a pickle spear. You also get a side so I opted for the cucumber and tomato salad. Also had some red onion with vinaigrette type dressing. Had an Italian flavor. Also just had a water(saves a lot of money). She gave a number card to put in the holder at the table. It wasn't but abt 5 minutes and out came my food. Everything looked good. The salad was awesome as was the sandwich. Prices are really good. 10 bucks for what I had plus the tip. The place is really clean and there was some music playing in the background. If you like a cold sandwich, this is for you. I ordered a Rueben and was very disappointed. It came out cold with alot ( way too much)of cold meat, a dab of sauerkraut and Thousand island on one side. Like a 9.00 mistake. I get mad at myself when I forget to take a picture for proof. I do love the sweet tea! I have not been here in a long time. They use to have a great crew but that changed at least a couple yrs back. Was going 2 to 3 times a week since it is so close to my work. I ordered Just a Spud, add bacon for lunch today. It was supposed to come with butter and sour cream. The two butter packets were melted and leaking out of the packet. Then I opened the box the potato was in and found this. The bacon was completely charred black and smelled horrible. Even after trying to scrape all the burned bacon off the potato to see if it was salvageable, the burnt flavor permeated into the potato. I ended up throwing the entire thing out. read more

We bought a $1 cookie which supports their Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Cookies for a Cause. I used to LOVE Mcalister's and always get the same thing. Southwest chicken salad and a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. I had a long day at work and had a hankering for their tea so I ordered online. Pick up went fine, but when I got home I opened up my salad and found black avocado on my salad! I didn't even recognize what it was for a good 10 seconds. I figured I would still try to eat the salad because I was pretty hungry, go to take it off and the black avocado was SLIMEY! I turn to the soup for salvation, but the soup wasn't even warm so I gave up for the night. Threw the salad away and went to bed. I ordered a sandwich through the app on 4.20.21 at 10:43 am. At 11:20 am, the sandwich still wasn't ready with 5-6 people ahead of me waiting on to their go orders. The customer service was quite poor as everyone, including the manager, ignored us pretending business as usual instead of saying hey guys so sorry, someone ordered 420 sandwiches ahead of you. Feel free to wait or we will refund your order. I left realizing my chances of eating today were quite slim. I called and canceled my order and I was told it would be canceled. It wasn't. I was still charged for a sandwich that was never made. I anticipate an uphill battle with more conversations and explanations on why I want a refund. Side note: you are charged $0.35 per order for using their app to place your order. It's not a lot but no one else does that. To be fair to them, I have ordered from this location probably 30 times and I have never had an issue. Your experience in all likelihood will be just fine. It's just quite bothersome when workers (and manager) ignore you like it's your fault your sandwich isn't ready in 40 minutes. Update: changed my review from 2 to 4 stars. As previously stated, 30 good experiences so unfair to complain about 1. Corporate staff are top notch. They refunded the order, assured me the feedback would be looked at, and did a little extra. Get back to work and there's many pieces of lettuce that should have never been in my salad. Dark green/brown and slimy lettuce! 2. The skin of the spud was also overcooked and inedible. The chicken tortilla soup seems to be made with their rotel cheese sauce that they use for their nachos. It's more of a lumpy cheese sauce than soup. Also had half of a chicken sandwich. The bread to meat ratio is completely off. There's more bread than chicken. It would've been worse If I hadn't added veggies to the sandwich. The bag it all came in looked like it was attacked by a bear. Chili was watered down compared to every other time I've had it. My potato chips were left out of my to go order. Worst of all, the black cherry syrup in my drink tasted like it was fermented. We stopped by for a quick lunch before running weekend errands. Everyone was wearing masks, and the store had social distancing procedures in place. It was quite busy, but there were plenty of people at the counter taking orders so it didn't take very long. There was plenty of available seating. I ordered the hot French dip sandwich, potato salad and lemonade while my husband ordered the New Yorker sandwich, chips and sweet tea. All of our food was super yummy! My hot sandwich came out oozing melted cheese. The au jus was steaming hot, perfect for dunking my sandwich before taking a mouth watering bite. The potato salad and sweet tea are a staple of their menu and always a great choice. The lemonade was perfectly sweetened with little pieces of pulp that made it incredibly refreshing. This was the worst customer service I have ever received. We dropped in for a Togo order around 9:20. The restaurant closes at 10. We were not greeted when we arrived We were not helped when we were trying to order and had to ask for the young lady's attention. When we were finally helped, we were also served some major attitude. While we waited for our food we watched the staff close up and go through nightly procedures. This is expected but not appropriate to sweep under tables where customers are still dining. We heard one young lady talk about how all she wanted to do was go home. We watched a woman stand at the counter to order for 12 minutes and finally after the staff finished their personal conversation was she helped, and also served some major attitude. Please get your staff under control, as I LOVE McAllisters and would It stay open in MWC. **we arrived home and our order was missing items. There was no fork in the bag, no napkins either. When I found a noodle In my meal (that had NO noodles in It) who knows what else is cross contaminated in their kitchen. We won't be back. read more

Worst McCalisters ever. Needs new management desperately! Just go to Panera 2 min away! Food is still good, service on multiple occasions has been awful. I come here about 1-2 times per month and this review is a long time coming. Tonight I order a "to go" meal. It said it would be ready in 20 min. I get there 25 min later and it's not on the shelf where it usually is by the letter in my name. I wait 3-4 min. No big deal, the staff look busy, so I go back out to my car and make a phone call. I come back in, now 40 min after I place my order. Still no order on the shelf. I ask the woman where my order is, since it has been so long. She said "it's right here." I'm and obvious kind of tone. And reaches behind the counter and hands it to me. I ask, why wasn't it on the shelf with the other prepaid orders. She was just like "I don't know, busy night." (It didn't look that busy at all, it's a weeknight). I got home to find out they forgot to put in my cookie. (They mess up my order at least half the time).
