I was quickly welcomed and put on a short wait but my 10-15 minute wait was more like 3 minutes. We both ordered a sandwich and tater tots as the side. The club sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. It had nice texture and the bread was perfectly toasted. It's a big sandwich and I took half to go. Tots were crunchy and golden brown. The macaroni pony was also delicious. We customized it at the recommendation of our waitress after trying to decide between several options. I would recommend giving this place a try. It was the perfect place to get a good meal while traveling thru town.

My mom ordered the Caesar salad without Parmesan. She said it was a little too spicy for her and didn't really taste like a traditional Caesar salad, so she probably wouldn't order it again. My other mom got the cheese curds and said they were really good, and my brother enjoyed his tater tots. I ordered the grilled cheese with tomato soup. The soup was delicious, and the sandwich had the perfect crispy, golden crust. My only complaint was that the cheese wasn't very melty--it tasted more like processed American cheese than a gooey grilled cheese. Even so, it was still really good. The atmosphere was relaxed, the waiter was friendly and polite, and all of the staff were welcoming. They also have T-shirts for sale, which was a fun touch. I'd definitely come back!

This place is basically the mafia of yum-town. You have the choice of that freezer burn tasting bread place sponsored by the prison guy. They did sell me to try them again after saying they revamped the menu, but double the cheese and double the price isn't the revamp they thought it was. You have the, Sniff Us and eject all the contents of the sandwich as soon as you squeeze the bread place. Also took them 5 years to figure out how to put a pickle on it or not hand you packets if you wanted regular mustard. But I digress. Love Jersey Mike's. Always great, always consistent and always a good value for the quality. This visit was probably the friendliest and thoughtful experience I have had. Guy running the scene today was a standout as far as interested in delivering a quality customer visit. I forgot to take a pic of the food but uhhh... if you have had their food before it always looks the same and by that I mean it's a great sandwich. If the owner sees this, check the schedule on who was running the place at around 2pm today. Good find in that guy, quality person.

Angelo's Italian Deli - Bethany, OK…read more Every once in a while you walk into a restaurant and leave feeling like you discovered something special. That's exactly what happened on our first visit to Angelo's Italian Deli. I first stumbled across Angelo's on social media and added it to my growing list of places to visit. Since we were already in Bethany for one of my Route 66 adventures, it was the perfect opportunity to stop in. They've only been open about 7-8 months, but I have a feeling they're going to become a favorite in the Oklahoma City food scene. The deli is spotless, organized, and welcoming. We were greeted by Angelo himself. After introducing ourselves and telling him it was our first visit, he happily walked us through the menu and recommended two of their most popular sandwiches--the Reuben and the Hot Pastrami. I already had my mind set on the Reuben, so that decision was easy. My wife ordered the Bianca pizza, made with Alfredo, ricotta, house mozzarella, shaved Parmesan, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Now here's the funny part... Anyone who knows me knows I'm not a ricotta cheese fan. Texture has always been my issue. But I promised I'd at least give her pizza a try. My Reuben arrived first, and wow...it disappeared fast. Tender corned beef piled high, perfectly toasted bread, melted Swiss, tangy sauerkraut, and just the right amount of dressing. It was every bit as good as Angelo promised. When the Bianca pizza arrived, I cautiously grabbed a slice. I still pushed a little of the ricotta aside (old habits die hard), but the crust was fantastic, the mozzarella and Parmesan were excellent, and the balsamic drizzle tied everything together beautifully. While ricotta still isn't my favorite, I absolutely understood why people order this pizza. The highlight of the visit came after we finished eating. Angelo stopped by our table and spent several minutes talking with us. He shared stories about cooking in New York City, his years as a chef, and how he eventually found his way to Oklahoma. You could immediately tell this isn't just another restaurant--it's his passion. Before leaving we asked about dessert. He recommended the cannoli first, followed by the lemon cake and tiramisu. Now comes what my wife calls the "Terry Twist." Remember...I don't like ricotta. But cannoli filling is made with ricotta blended with mascarpone, so I decided to trust Angelo. I'm glad I did. That cannoli was outstanding--one of the best I've ever eaten. Angelo mentioned he has the shells brought in from New Jersey, and they were perfectly crisp with an incredible filling. Sometimes the best part of dining out isn't just the meal--it's meeting someone who genuinely loves what they do. Angelo made us feel like guests instead of customers. The dining room is small with several two-top tables, but they do a huge takeout business, and after this experience I can definitely see why. We'll absolutely be back. Food: Service: Atmosphere: 1/2 Overall: If you're looking for authentic Italian deli sandwiches, great pizza, incredible desserts, and a chance to meet an owner who truly cares about his craft, Angelo's Italian Deli belongs on your list. It certainly earned a place on mine.

We knew Jason's Deli is the only place that fit the bill so we drove up to NW Expressway for our self commitment to eating a salad and we were NOT disappointed! We were greeted with a big smile and warm greeting from the manager, Katrina, when we walked in. We ordered our salads, Katrina told us how and where to go to get fresh plates (we each ordered an unlimited salad bar) and away we went. The restaurant was clean and there was plenty of seating. The salad bar was well stocked, cold, and had all the options we wanted and more! While we ate, salad bar staff were keeping the salad bar stocked and clean, and Katrina came to check on us during the visit. Our family forgot we needed to bring a dish to an event later in the day so I asked Katrina if they could quickly cater a fruit tray for me. Katrina told me absolutely! And by the time we were all done with our meals, Katrina packaged up the freshest, most beautiful fruit tray that ended up being the biggest hit of the gathering we went to. And I need to add that the restaurant was pleasantly busy. People were continuing to come in and out, and Katrina and her team were still able to pull together such an impressive tray for us. We won't hesitate to come back. It was worth the 20 mile drive to make our way out to this Jason's Deli location. Thanks for Katrina for being so kind and for the whole staff for being professional and amazing!
