When we tried the food, we were pleasantly surprised at how delicious and fresh it was. We both craved their salads very soon after the first visit. I don't enjoy writing negative reviews. But this is getting ridiculous. I've been to this location about 4 or so times and on every occasion my order has been wrong. Why do I keep going back? Healthy-ish options in this area are limited. I order online and pick it up but none of my experiences have been that pleasant. The first time I ordered a curbside pick up. I realized after a few moments that no one was coming to bring my order out and I went inside to find it on the shelf. If curbside isn't an option, why advertise it? Every time after that, my potato has been made incorrectly. The veggie potato comes with peppers, spinach, broccoli, and cheese. I add tomatoes, green onions, and jalapeños to it with sour cream. Every time they've left off the broccoli peppers and spinach. But they add everything else onto it. They always forget the sour cream. By the time I get home and see it, I'm not in the mood to drive all the way back to the restaurant to have it remade. And usually my order is never prepared at the time it should be. I've waited 20 minutes for an online order that I placed 20 minutes prior simply to give them ample time to make it. I still had to wait. But today I had time. I went to pick up my order and after 10 minutes it was placed on the shelf. I made sure to check it before I left. To nobody's surprise it was wrong. I took it back to the counter to let the manager know the potato was missing broccoli, spinach, and peppers. I also didn't have sour cream. She took it back to the kitchen and told them that none of the extras I wanted were on the potato. That's not what I said. The extras were there, but the basic items the potato comes with were not. So of course the kitchen says "everything is on there" so I ask them to tell me what veggies normally come on the potato and they say "broccoli spinach and peppers" then I ask "is any of that on there?" They say "yes." We're both looking at the same item! How can we be seeing two different things! So they remake it. I get it back and the picture below is what I get. The exact same potato made incorrectly lol. I just had to laugh. I told the manager again and even asked her to help me understand if I was missing those items? Maybe I can't see. I even had my glasses on. She saw that the items were still missing. I asked her to simply give me the items on the side and I'll be good to go. She gets me broccoli and spinach. No peppers lol. And on her way to give them to me someone bumps into her and she drops it, picks it up, and gives it to me anyway. Plus the chicken salad sandwich was kinda gross too. Even in the midst of some system failures she kept a positive attitude and was very patient with taking my Large order. This isn't the first time that she has served and took my order. It can be hit or miss here. When it's good, we love it. Food is delicious and usually pretty quick and order is correct. When it's bad, it's really really bad. Food is barely edible and if you order a hot dish, it's cold. Not just from having cooled off for sitting there too long, but never heated properly in the first place. And good luck getting what you ordered. I've received the wrong order and taken it up to the counter to get it fixed and it was replaced yet again with the wrong order. On my third and final attempt at getting what I ordered, the rest of my group was finished eating and my order was finally correct, but it was cold. Some days it's perfect though. If you ever want a good sub or hoagie...do NOT try McAlister's in Millington. I had the 12 inch "Memphian" and it was the worst sub I have ever had. It was supposed to be ham, turkey and roast beef. The ham and turkey was bland and tasteless. The roast beef was the worst. It had some kind of piece of ligament running through it that was chewy as rubber. I ordered it 'to go" and sat at the reserved table for almost 30 minutes before I received this vile piece of refuse. All at the low low price of $20. (sarcasm)On the bright side, I ordered a side of potato salad and it was very good.It just didn't make up for the rest of the dining experience. Lenny's and Subway leave much to be desired but they are still better than McAlister's. Save yourself $20 and avoid the place like the plague. I wouldn't eat there again if it was free. read more

We waited for nearly 30 minutes for our food and were about to go ask for a refund when they finally brought part of our order. We continued to wait and someone from our table drove across the street to Chick-fil-a and came back with food for the rest of our party. At one hour, we asked for a refund on the rest of our order. Several other people asked for refunds because they too had been waiting an hour. On top of the ridiculous wait, the tables needed to be cleaned and they served brown avocado with the nachos (part of the order we did get). This location needs MAJOR help. I'd like to start by saying this: I never have a good experience at this McAlisters; however, I continue to be a patron because I love the food. Today, my experience was taken to another level. My wife and I ordered curbside at 4:07 pm (order #60030). We arrived shortly before 4:30 pm and called to say we were there. No one came outside. My wife went inside to get our order and discovered FOUR things missing: Mac and cheese, a side Caesar salad, a drink and a side of jalapeños. She let the staff know. Fifteen minutes, FIFTEEN minutes, later, she was told, "We're out of Mac and cheese." Alright, how about potato salad. Another ten minutes went by before I decided to say forget it. Walked inside and grabbed her. Twenty-five minutes we waited to have the order fixed and left without half of what we paid for. I called and requested to speak with a manager. I waited on hold for 26 minutes before a man named Wyatt finally asked, "You still there?" I explained what happened, to which he replied, "Yeah.. I'm sorry. This is bad on me, huh? You want a cookie or a brownie or something?" No, Wyatt, I don't. He then explained he would give me a refund and proceeded to say, "I wasn't up there, so I don't know what happened." I asked for a corporate number, and I was put on hold for 6 minutes. When he returned, Wyatt explained that "his GM told him there is no corporate number." Interesting, Wyatt. So here I am, sending this survey that I feel certain no one will read or care about. This location is constantly full of dirty tables and bad attitudes. I will not continue to visit this location. I'd rather drive 30 minutes to another location. The one good thing I will take away from this situation is Kiki, your over-worked employee at the register. She was polite in a time where she had absolutely no support from the rest of the staff. She worked alone bagging food, answering the phone, taking orders, while two gentlemen were shooting the shit (excuse my expression) in the kitchen. I'll assume one of those was Wyatt. I got the Memphian which is Ham, Turkey & Roast Beef. They were clumped in piles so you basically had a bit of turkey, then the next bite was ham, etc. They should have spread the meat across the whole bread to make it where you got all 3 meats in the same bit. But the service workers not so great... this was my first time trying this place and the black woman at the front was really rude and not helpful at all it just makes you not want to come back. Came across this place and stopped someone in the parking lot to ask if the food was good. She said they were decent and had really good ice tea. I do not like ice tea, but decided to try them anyway. Options in town are limited. Ordered the Ham and cheese toastie and cup of tomato bisque. Food arrived fairly quickly and it was not half bad. Bisque was really good, but the sandwich could be better. Bread got soggy, which I hate, therefore a I was disappointed. I chose the items after asking for a recommendation from a customer on the inside. Service was great. Asked if the lemonade was sweet and the young lady gave me some to taste before I ordered. I literally just walked into McAlister's here in Millington (they only have 1). There was a black lady behind the register, a white lady on the customer side of the register and a white guy mopping the floors. As I got closer to the counter both ladies looked at me as if they were annoyed that I came in then the black lady says, "we're closed." I said, "oh okay, for the rest of the day?" Her response was yes (no explanation, just went back to doing what she was doing). Now I'm looking at the time because it's 4:27pm so I'm thinking why are y'all closed. The guy mopping the floor decided to put his 2 cents in and said, "we're closed until tomorrow, thank you for coming to McAlisters." I then turned around and said, what? Are you being smart at the mouth?" Basically, there were several issues with todays visit, they did not have a sign on the door and the door wasn't locked for them to be closed and had it been locked there would be no review from me. Second the customer service absolutely sucked from the ladies expressions as if they were annoyed by me to the guy mopping the floor being rude and sarcastic. When I usually go there it's a cross between it being hella busy to it being practically empty. You want it to be slow because it takes some time to get your food when it's not so busy. The food is always pretty good and worth the price for paying. The half salad and half sub is a great option to be a healthy eater at times. And of course the tea is pretty amazing especially getting green tea is a nice touch. read more

This McAlister's opened in Millington about 3 years ago. It was as good as any McAlister's when it first opened but has struggled I think to live up to the standards I have come to expect from this chain deli. On a number of occasions I have ordered soup that was still frozen in the center when I got it. Stale bread has made the skins of my sandwiches on more than one occasion. There have been several changes in management here without much improvement in the issues they have had. I have revisited several times hoping this McAlisters would improve and I have had good food there, it's just not consistent. I don't even want to think about the times that the little girls behind the counter were more attached to there bluetooth's than interested in waiting on me or getting the orders correct. The potato soup has been tasting a lot better lately. The potato soup is nice and warm by the time it is served, and it has lots of tasty add-ins like cheese and bacon and more! The Mac n cheese is delicious and there is great service. The sandwiches could be better, but maybe it's just not my thing.
