McAlister's was a favorite lunch spot of mine when I was in college in Texas and now we have a McAlister's in Orlando!!! My Chicken Bacon Ranch Spud was so yummy and such a big portion! It was loaded with Grilled Chicken, Bacon, Cheddar Jack Cheese, Green Onions, and Buttermilk Ranch. I always love getting one of their Giant Spuds. I wish there was one closer to where I lived, but what can you do? I know I'll be back the next time I'm in the area. My concern is with the rewards program. Don't get me wrong, I'm a points fanatic, any program I can join, I do. As I sat there I was reading their information about the rewards and how you can redeem them, and it was shocking. It was okay...? Wanted a deli meal for dinner, so we settled on McAlister's. Inside, half the tables were unbussed (we were there on a Saturday, early evening). The cashier talked very fast with a heavy accent, so he was difficult to understand. Husband wasn't hungry so he got the Pretzel Dog kid's meal; I got the McAlister's club, with upgraded Mac & Cheese. I feel like not enough people go to McAlister's they have some delicious sandwiches and some out of this world potatoes. Their specialty baked potatoes are out of this world and if you get the large one they are huge it's like two baked potatoes they are enough for two meals or for two people they are that big. The soups are absolutely delicious and the sandwiches are just outstanding. I have eaten inside which is very comfortable and you can go in and relax have a nice chat eat your meal have a nice cookie for dessert or they offer takeout and order ahead which is really nice. We visited McAlister's today for lunch. I heard that it was a great neighborhood spot for lunch. You order at the counter, take a number and head to your table. They offer a variety of soups, sandwiches and salads. Also featuring a choose two option if you're into that. I had the black angus club with country potato soup. The sandwich was decent and the soup lacked flavor. The portions are also on the smaller side. My partner had a grilled cheese and chili. Overall the food was okay. Called 19 times, took forever to get through, finally got someone to answer the phone, they picked up and got hung up on by some foreign person. Stay away. I've been wanting to try McAlister's Deli, I was actually excited to try this--and I couldn't be more disappointed. I ordered through Uber Eats and had issues with multiple items. The sweet tea was unsweet (wrong item). The carrot cake was hard and clearly not fresh. The chicken and dumplings were completely broken down into mush--there were no actual dumplings left. The steak sandwich had very little flavor and an odd texture, and it included chunks of raw carrots that weren't mentioned. For the price the sandwichis extremely small if you are a grown man you will need 2. This whole experience was extremely disappointing. This felt like poor quality control across the entire order, and I wouldn't order from here again. The only edible item was the potato salad and they don't even give you a full spoonful. I would not recommend ordering from here.I would go elsewhere. read more

My wife wanted to stop in as she was stoked we finally got a McAlister's, so we did just that. This is a beautiful new restaurant located in a new shopping center. I ordered the chose two and my choices were the horseradish roast beef and cheddar, and a grilled chicken salad. I was very happy with my meal, I thought the portions were good for the price and the food was very fresh. I loved my sandwich, and I must say the bread was so soft and fresh. My wife ordered a chose two as well with a french dip and a side of mac and cheese. There is an upcharge for the mac and cheese and my wife mentioned was not worth it. She did say the french dip was really good. We split an iced team with peach added to it and thought it was so good yea we got a refill. The staff at the counter was friendly. We did find it out that one employee asked the text next to us if she could clear their table and offered them refills, but that was the only table to ever be offered refills and to be cleared. Once she did that she went back behind the counter and chatted with another employee. This does not change my opinion of the place, it was just an observation. I'm a huge fan of McAlister's Deli from my grad school days in Gainesville. It was a better version of Panera before anyone had heard of Panera and it still is a huge leap above. They serve sandwiches, salads, soups and such. McAlister's is also well known for their spuds, or baked potatoes loaded with toppings. I also highly recommend their iced tea. I was so stoked that a McAlister's was finally opening in this area, but I will say it is in a rapidly growing area where it may face quite a bit of competition. I hope it survives. I've been to this new location several times and partaken in my favorite dish which is their tortilla soup. It is a cheesy chicken soup spiced with green chiles and roasted peppers. It is served with tortilla chips on the side that you can dip or crumble in the soup. Although the food has lived up to my memory I will say that my experience at this location so far hasn't been quite up to par. Every time I have walked in I have been greeted by a host of dirty tables which is really unappealing. When I was there earlier this week it appeared only 2 people were working (1 in front and 1 in back). I hope they get the kinks out soon because I am real fan of the food. read more

Its basically a knock off Panera. Problem is you're paying almost $20 for essentially a kids portion of food. The potato soup was terrible. It was basically water with a couple chunks of potato. Since I previously visited this franchise in Jacksonville I knew I could rely on the sandwiches that are served for a quick lunch in Kissimmee. You order at a counter and you receive a number that's placed on a stand on the table. My husband decided on a French Dip and chips, and I tried the McAllister club, both regular size, with a lemonade for him and an Arnold Palmer for me. The lunch was brought quickly to our table, even though it was still lunchtime. The location is convenient to where we stayed and it looks like the area is fairly new with other restaurants next door or very close by. I was surprised that they requested a tip when paying at the counter, because there are no real waiters or waitresses aside from the cashiers. Walking into the restaurant it was very busy. Almost every table was full. They have a huge variety of sandwiches, salads, and soups. I really enjoyed the sweet bbq chicken sandwich. I had the cucumber salad on the side and house lemonade which was really good. I also got the s'mores cookie that was advertised on the menu. Everything was really good. I got asked if I need a Togo box for my sandwich which was really nice. The ambiance was nice even though it was fully packed. I've been to a McAlisters before but it was awhile ago so I forgot how delicious it can be! I decided on the McAlisters club (them calling it their signature sandwich sold me)! It came with a side of your choice and I thought they used to have homemade chips and surprisingly they only offered an assortment of bagged lays brand chips. Anyways, the food was delivered quickly after ordering and I was shocked to see the presentation of the sandwich sliced into fours in a triangular formation. It really made for a more appetizing appearance. The sandwich had a ton of flavor and I really enjoyed the sweet mustard they used. It really was a unique flavoring of something I wish I could buy in a bottle separately so I can use it at home. I'd probably try a different sandwich next time I go just because there are so many choices on the menu that I am sure all of them are delicious! Let me start off by saying I really like McAllister's and most of my visits to this location have been 4 stars and great, but they do still have quite a few growing pains. Food is consistent and great however - do the choose 2 for half a sandwich and soup or salad. You can't go wrong with the French dip or club and all the other things I've tried have been great with the exception of their baked potato options. Their app and rewards program is solid and I love that you get huge iced teas with as many refills as you want when you dine in. It does get busy and the dining area is small, but they try to get folks through as quickly as possible. Service has struggled quite a bit since they've opened, almost every time it's someone new at the register who seems confused - but that's par for the course for this area. Overall it's a great fast casual "healthy-ish" option! read more

We've been eyeing this place for a while in our neighborhood, and I love me a soup, salad, sandwich spot! We came opening day! There are Def a few kinks to work out, but then again, we are new to this chain. We wanted to order on the app because the staff was kind enough to hand us a flyer for 50% off an entree for signing up in the app. We wanted to order for it to be delivered to the table, but there was no table number around, but no worries because the app can be scanned when you order in person as well. When I downloaded the app, there was a free tea as well, which I asked the staff could I use both or would we need to do two transactions? I was told I could use both at once, but when I did, I was told it didn't go through, and both offers disappeared from the app when I scanned them. Who I assume was the manager then said it was one or the other, but I explained I was told I could use both, but they also are now both gone. I was originally asked which offer I wanted to use, which was the 50% off, and the manager said no problem, I could use both, but the entree still rung up full price so I had to ask for help again. Furthermore, I realized there was 1.75 upcharge on the choose two, which I realized later, and my husband said he noticed some sandwiches had this upcharge in the app which is no issue, but I wish I was told during ordering. I had the spicy turkey melt with onions, which was very good. I also opted for the Chipotle chicken and bacon spud, which was just ok. Personally, the chicken didn't have much flavor. However, the potato was huge, and I do not think it was half. My husband had the French Dip and roast beef spud, which he loved. I tried some and this was great! The tea was to be expected, but very good. We also ordered the oreo cheesecake which I thought was alright. I'd Def try another dessert next time. Food was decent, came pretty fast. To be such a new building, the place is NOT clean. The ladies bathroom has old dirt around the wall edges and there is something that honestly looks like blood clots behind the toilet. That is disgusting. I ate the food because I needed to eat but I certainly hope the kitchen is cleaner than the bathroom. I wanted to speak to the manager about it but I didn't want to make it so obvious for the rest of the guests. I hope someone reads this and takes action . We have been disappointed with McAlisters the last few years because the location we frequent is constantly out of food, has mediocre service, and is not known for good iced tea. We saw that this location opened up and we stopped by today. THIS. This is what McAlisters is supposed to be like. The food was delicious. They had chicken and dumpling soup! Visiting from out of town and finally decided to stop by for lunch having driven by a dozen times or so. This restaurant was clean and tidy and well lit too. It was moderately busy and the staff was attentive and professional patiently providing suggestions when asked. I ordered the Choose Two and took the number placard given to me back to my table. The food arrived quickly. The portions were generous and flavorful. I needed additional sour cream for the enormous baked potato and asked for more. McAlisters is one of my favorite places to eat. I'm so glad they opened a location near Disney World. They offer quick service meals consisting of sandwiches, salads, soups and baked potatoes. They also have a few tasty desserts like fresh baked cookies and carrot cakes. This particular location is a little snugger than the one in Clermont and doesn't feel quite as cozy. The ambiance is a little more sterile. Pricing is fair for what you order (although some of the upgrades feel a bit nickel and dimey) They offer a "choose two" on the menu where you can get half a sandwich and a salad, soup or potato. The more filling options are a few dollars extra. The Spuds here are worth the visit alone. I always get the Chipotle Chicken Spud. It's loaded with chicken, bacon, cheese and a sauce that even the most timid taste buds shouldn't find too hot. The drinks are a bit pricey at almost 4 dollars for a large. But the large is absolutely a LARGE. The small drink is 2.99 for what feels like it would be a kids drink. We paid about 45 dollars for two adult meals with drinks and a kids meal. The kids meals are good, but the drink is a separate charge. Overall a tasty lunch or early dinner experience pretty much every time we go! read more

I ordered a Reuben ( which should be a hot sandwich ) I ordered dressing on the side which they did. I also asked for the bread to be toasted very well. The bread was barely toasted, almost a stale texture . The meat was cold all of the way through and the little kraut that was on it had no flavor. I couldn't even eat half of it. As for my side I ordered the Cucumber and Tomato Salad. I think I found out what they do with the leftover tomatoes from days prior. They must go into this salad because they were mush. As part of my order, I also ordered a bowl of tortilla soup and it was only about 2/3 the way full and they didn't include the tortilla chips. When I reviewed my receipt to try to contact the store so they could make it right, they have their contact number listed as 111-111-1111. I decided to reach out on the "contact us" portion of their website and requested a call or email in return. So far it's been two weeks and no one has cared enough to respond to my concerns.
