This location is hit or miss! We have noticed that you are more likely to get the correct order if you go through the app, rather than ordering in person for takeout. It's very common to not get your pickle that is supposed to come with your sandwich. I don't really understand why it's so hard to throw a pickle in the box with everything else. We've also gotten home and found that they out no condiments on our sandwiches. Super annoying! Now, I will say their sandwiches are huge and their gluten free bread is pretty good. When they make a sandwich correctly, it's usually Their potato salad and unsweetened tea are also favorites of mine. For the money you pay for their food, they just aren't consistent with getting orders correct and when you live on the other side of town, that can be really frustrating! read more

If you want rude service and subpar food please go to this McAlister's Deli on Parrish Ave. We ordered chili (canned chili was better than this horrible slop). We also had a club that had a sliver of meat. We took this "to go." The girl (I wish I had gotten her name) was the rudest person I have encountered. If she wants to be in hospitality or food service maybe she should stay in the kitchen away from customers. Why do managers and owners put put up with this behavior? I will never be back to this location. What a disappointment and to top it off we spent over $50 and we had to go elsewhere to satisfy our appetite because we couldn't eat what we had ordered. read more

This Owensboro McAllisters is terrible. Stopped in for a to go order around 430pm. It wasn't busy. They got entire order wrong. No chicken on grilled chicken ceasar salad. No fruit w croissant. I've been a regular customer at this location for years now, but sadly I can no longer recommend it. In the course of less than one month, the exact same meal has gone up 9% - from $18.54 to $20.17. (Check the photos of my receipts.) I understand inflation is challenging everyone, but charging extra for the au jus for a French Dip (seems like a core part of a French DIP?) - AND - charging a "convenience" fee? I've hit my breaking point. The location is clean, and the service is generally good. But the food quality is hit or miss. The French Dip is sometimes great, sometimes overcooked/tough. I can't see spending over $20 for what is essentially a fast food meal. For the same amount, I can have a sit-down meal at other places and get more food - and still cover tip. It's a shame - at $15ish max, this is still a viable restaurant. read more

My boyfriend and I often order DoorDash pickup from McAlisters and we enjoy the food. I walk up and asked for my boyfriend's order because I was picking it up for us and, and the guy at the counter asked for me to show him the screen for DoorDash. I have picked up food from many places and have never been asked to show the screen. But it wasn't a big deal.!I understand making sure the order is given to the correct person, but when I told him it was my boyfriend's order he replied rudely and just told me i still needed to show the screen. So I asked if I could call my boyfriend and have him send a screenshot. He said yeah, so I called and then showed him the screen. He just walked away. When he came back with the food, he slung the food onto the counter and walked away from it - said absolutely nothing to me. At this point in the day I had already been at the visitation for my grandfather, as well as therapy, and had a really rough day. I was not being rude to him at all, I was merely confused because I've never been asked for the screen before. I grabbed the food and said "Yeah thanks." To him because there was no reason for the aggression I was receiving. And he replied "you're MIGHTY welcome." Very sarcastically. The managers obviously need to remind their employees about customer service and how not to be a complete jerk. I walked out the door and saw him shaking his head while talking to another employee - this may not have been about me, but the girl employee he was talking to was looking out the window at me and making a very smug face as if I were in the wrong. All I know is I wouldn't find this kind of service at a chick-fil-a. Find a different McAllister's if you want good customer service. read more

The Chilli was Horrible. We also ordered Pretzel Dogs..they came out Cold and even asking if they could be heated up the Second order came out Cold also. The Manager did Comp our Meal but now Half our party is Full and the other Half is Hungry!! Won't be Back!!! read more

We really like McAlister's, and we were excited when they moved into Owensboro. Early on, their service was good, and the food was consistent. My how things have changed. The past 2 times we've been there the service has been EXCRUCIATING SLOW. Yes, it was the lunch hour both times, and yes, we expect a longer wait than normal. However, we called ahead and placed our order both times, but still ended up with long waits in line. Yesterday, I waited 20 minutes just to pay for my food. There was ONE CASHIER handling transactions, and she didn't seem to be in much of a hurry. Yet there are 3 registers at the counter. There were plenty of employees working, yet there was no attempt to move the line. Most of us working stiffs have an hour at most for lunch, and nearly all of mine was spent standing in line. Extremely disappointed with the customer service here. Not going back unless some changes are made. read more

I absolutely LOVE McAlister's!!! They have amazing sandwiches, HUGE delicious salads, & great side & kids meal options! The orange cranberry club is my favorite, along with the chef salad. They have a great "Pick 2" deal as well. Prices are reasonable for what you get. I have never eaten inside, so I can't speak on that. I have always ordered through their mobile app & either picked up through drive thru or had delivered. There have been a few times they have messed up my orders. One time I ordered a chef salad, & when delivered it had NONE of the toppings on it that it usually comes with. Was a huge disappointment. Another time, sandwiches were not made as ordered. & yet another time, they forgot to include my child's drink. The mistakes are plenty, however I love their food (when it is made correctly) so much I cannot help but to keep ordering from here. They also have rewards included through their app ranging from a free beverage, to kids meal, to a whole entree. Many times I have also received emails from them for free things and even BOGO entrees. I will continue to order from here as it is hard to find many fast restaurants with healthier menu options & l love their food so much! read more

I frequently visit this restaurant to get my favorite deli sandwich, the jalapeño crunch. this place has yet to let me down big time. the manager and staff are nice and friendly. any issue, they work to correct and make up for it on the spot. for example, one time, there was a longer wait than usual, and I got a free cookie. I recommend the place for the quality, taste, timing, and cleanliness. 10/10 almost every time. no place is perfect, but they are close and makeup for what they lack. read more

Excellent....my girlfriend and I walked in and was greeted immediately. Asked to look at the menu long story short we ended up eating there with the kids, and they also let us bring in our service dog as well. The staff was very nice the food was excellent. One of my very favorite places for lunch and dinner. The food is good. I am a big fan of most everything! All I ask is that they make the TEA taste more like TEA and less like water and added fruit flavor. Staff is great and the food comes out in a timely manner. I love McAlisters! This is the THIRD attempt during COVID to give this place a chance at their drive thru. After today, I'm done. Multiple times my orders have been screwed up and not correct at all, which is sad considering it was placed online. Today was the final straw after being forgotten about and left in parking spot number three for over 20mins as I watched car after car pick up their food and leave. If it wasn't for the car in parking spot number one getting angry and going back to the window, who knows when I would have gotten what I paid for. Oh and speaking of getting what you paid for, they forgot my daughters apple juice and the cookies paid for with this order. Pathetic. This is just poor leadership from their management. Once is a mistake, we all make them. Multiple times is a problem with management of people. I'll pay more and and go to Panera. We ordered a fairly large order due to working in an office. The first time we called, the first lady stated she could not take our order at this time and would not be able to put the names on the individual orders as they do not do that. We called back to speak with someone else and we got a nice lady who also said she was unable to put the names on the individual orders but she could get someone who could. We speak to the last lady who takes our order and then reads all the names back to me. We get the order but was missing two orders. I called to explain and she simply stated they would refund the meals and give us a free sweet tea for our troubles. She then stated since we are so far away from their location (we are about 2 miles away), they would not be able to deliver them missing orders. I stated we were only 2 miles away and then she changed her story and stated they didn't have anyone there for the day who delivered. We spent well over $100 and just feel like they didn't care enough to correct their wrong since they already received their payment. read more
