What can you say, it's a McAlister's Deli? That being said, this is about as good as it gets as far as this chain goes. I frequent this place often (too often I would venture a guess as I don't cook and eat out 90 percent of the time) as it is conveniently located between my two businesses and is about the only place in Shawnee where one can get something healthy to eat. The staff are what make this location stand out from the rest. They are welcoming, outgoingly friendly and spot on with drink refills - and I need quite a few as I go through unsweet tea as quickly as a wino goes through a bottle of Thunderbird. This location is also seemingly cleaner than the few other McAlister's I've ventured into around the country. read more

McAlister's is nice, but don't mistake it for a healthy food option. Even a very plain turkey sandwich has upwards of 600-700 calories. Not sure how it's even possible. The staff is always really helpful and friendly and even during peak hours you can usually find a table. It's one of the better options in Shawnee. read more

I'll have to bump up McAlisters back to a five. Got the pick two on Sunday...Savannah Salad and tried the Memphis sandwich for first time. Was a great hot sandwich with all the right ingredients. Manager hosted guests and was extra kind. My wife got just Savannah salad ordered to her liking, and it was huge enough portion to take home some for later! read more

I went to this place for the first time with a group of friends. They got all of our orders wrong and didn't seem to care when I told them about it. I was quite disappointed with the service I got there. It wasn't until I got quite upset that they changed anything. I wish I could say it was a pleasant atmosphere, however the cashiers were rushing people through the line without so much as an attempt to be polite. I don't think the bathrooms have been cleaned in months this store is very dirty and when we told the employee he wanted to argue with us about it.The service is terrible and the store is filthy.You would think someone would have pride about their place of employment. I'm so glad we have a McAlister's in Shawnee! Expect to be greeted cheerfully and helped promptly, even during their busy times. As always, the sandwiches are a step above subway and most are pretty tasty flavor combos. My favorite right now is the jalapeño crunch sandwich, just don't get it to go, because the chips on the sandwich will get soggy. Get anything and everything else to go, though, and get there five minutes earlier than they say, because they'll always have it ready. My only complaint is that many times they don't have the soups featured on McAlister's website, but that's part of living in a smaller town I guess. read more

I love McAlister's, I eat at this location all the time. Today while getting lunch a couple, with their child present, argued with a manager about wearing a mask. They dont have one on and they proceed to turn around and tell others in line that they too shouldn't be wearing a mask, even though shawnee mandates it as of this last monday. They were unnecessarily rude while also being insanley incompetent. read more

Best service! We love the turkey sandwiches and usually ask for them to heat them up. They did and it makes such a difference. Cookies were fresh and tea was still fresh at 8:30pm. They were very nice and helpful. We were from out of town, 1st time to eat at this McAlisters. read more

This place has amazing food that is fresh and flavorful. If you like sweet tea, they have one of the best in town. The food is always fresh and the right temperature even when you pick up take-out. Had a pretty great experience food and customer service wise. The only main issue I had with dining at this establishment was that our city of Shawnee, OK had put out a city-wide mandate that in all public places face masks/shields were required. However, at McAlister's I saw many of the customers not wearing any face protection. As I previously stated, the customer service and food was impeccable. I felt very uncomfortable and I don't think I'll be going back until more people are wearing masks. read more

I don't know who recommended this restaurant or gave it a 4 1/2 out of five stars, but I rank it a two star. Portions are small, so if you are very hungry you're going to leave hungry. If you were a guy I would not get the pick two. You would still be hungry This is like a Panera want to be kind of place, but not very good. read more

I am writing this review as I stand here for 30 minutes after my order was supposed to me ready. I ordered on the app which apparently kicked my order out after it said I was all set. Instead of maybe outing a rush in it since I've already been waiting I wait an extra 30 minutes and stand here and watch as people who ordered after I reordered sitting down already eating their food. I eat here when visiting Shawnee. It is the only vegetarian option in town. At least it is good and typically clean. Some days the staff is super sweet other days they seem tired and ready to go home. But the food is good and quick always. read more
