Clean and friendly shop! Amazing sandwiches! Little on the expensive side but good quality!

I always have a great experience at jersey mikes. Always consistent and they are very generous with the toppings and portions. Service is kind and quick. Even when there is a line, it moves rather quick! The parking lot can be busy but usually can get a spot easily. My only small remark is the line to order is whacky. You have to hover over a table to get to the area where you order the sandwich and then maneuver around. I'm not sure there is much they can do with the layout but it's always a tiny bit awkward. read more

This was our first time at Jersey Mike's. My wife and each ordered the regular Mike's Philly. The employee that took our order handed me the yellow copy of our order and gave me no further instructions. The restaurant was somewhat busy, more with app orders, but there were several customers inside. We stood around the counter area feeling pretty stupid and not getting any help from the employees. Finally, we sat at a table waiting for our order. They only have a few tables in the lobby and space was tight. When our order was ready, an employee called my name. I went to the counter and she handed me the sandwiches and started to walk away. I told her we hadn't paid yet. She didn't seem too interested. We added chips and drinks for a total of $32. The sandwich was tiny for $10. Now the good. The sandwich was hot and fresh. The bread was soft and tasty. The meat was super tender and the vegetables and cheese did their part to make a good tasting sandwich. There is a ton of competition in the area. Penn Station is right across the street and offers more food for a lower cost. There needs to be a clearer path for customers in the process of ordering. On value alone, I would probably just go elsewhere the next time I want a Philly. read more

I've always been a subway or jimmy johns guy due to the proximity. But I decided to branch out and it was the best choice ever I ordered the chicken bacon ranch and it was done within no more than 5 minutes and it's the best sandwich I've ever had. Not only was the food amazing the customer service was spectacular the cook/cashier Clark had the best attitude ever and was very quick with the jokes. 10/10 read more

Jersey Mike's was a good addition to Edwardsville. They are still very new and I visited within the first week of them being open! The workers were helpful, already new the menus, and have an efficient system down. I had never been to a Jersey mikes before and I got a mini BLT at the workers recommendation. It was pretty good, however it was not the best sub I've ever had. I would pick other places over this especially since these prices aren't better then other sub places for what you are getting! That being said, the sandwich was still good and the bacon is made fresh everyday. Overall, It's very clean and I would recommend this place. But if you already have a favorite sandwich place, I don't this will beat it out! read more

Okay, my honest opinion: it was just okay. I had never been to a Jersey Mike's (since there are none around the area) so I didn't know what I was in for, so I expected something different in a good way. Since they put it across the street from Penn Station, you know it has to be a big deal, right? When I finally came here, it was slow service as there were a few people in line and apparently somebody didn't know how to use the app or call ahead for so many sandwiches. So many employees standing around. Anyway, I got the Big Kahuna Cheesesteak, which sounded awesome. What they do is you tell them what you want, they write it down, they hand you a piece of paper to the cashier. Sandwich took about ten minutes, which was fine as long as it was going to be worth it. First thing I noticed, they didn't heat, grill or toast the bread. Is this what they call a hot sub? Anyway, it was kind of weird eating hot meat, cheese and peppers on cold, hard bread. And I also felt that I was tasting more of the bread than the actual stuff between. I know this is a pandemic still, but at least offer for some sauces or more fixins for such thing! For the price I paid I expected more, but I guess this is how Jersey Mike's does things. IF I ever come back it will be strictly on occasion. read more

For this visit, I had the #13 The Original Italian for the first time. I've been eating Italian hoagies for over 50 years and the best I've had are in my hometown of Pittsburgh PA. That is until today. This hoagie is amazing! From the website including pic: A truly authentic Jersey-style Italian sub, it's crafted with provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni. Folks, this is what an Italian hoagie is supposed to taste like. I've tried the other chain sub places and this is by far the best Italian sub. Do yourself a favor and go get one now! Great place to get a sub imo. Love the concept of slicing fresh meat right in front of you every time for every customer. The bread has a fluffiness and fresh taste which rivals all other local sun places imo. It has moved into my #1 sub place 100% no question. The only thing is the place can be expensive, but everywhere is nowadays. read more

Tried to visit a few days ago and got there right at 7PM since the website said they'd be open until 9. They locked the door as I was walking up and didn't open it for me. Ok, JJs was still open and their subs are good too. I decided to give Mikes another try so I got there at 5. Plenty of staff but only 2 prepping sandwiches. Girl slicing meat seemed to be pretty quick but the big dude putting the finishing touches on was painful to watch. Took forever. When it came time to finishing mine I told him I wanted everything but jalapeños. Got the dazed look and then he tried to tell me how they usually finish them. No thanks, just everything but jalapeños. Over did the vinegar and oil so by the time I got it home it was a soggy mess. I'll give them a few more weeks before I return. Maybe they'll have the new bugs worked out. read more

I was just at this location, I walked in and workers were standing around talking while there were at least 20 boxes of chips at the start of the line....me and my elderly mother ordered our food, as we continued down the line they were in a complete rush (besides the 6 employees standing around talking, we felt rushed...so rushed they offered me the pickles and mayo and stuff, but they did not offer my mother I had to ask her after they put her sandwich together already, she said well I don't want jalapenos, then the guy just rolled up her sandwich before she had got to finish. She's like wow I wanted some pickles and banana peppers but too late it was already in the bag.. and the dining room was a complete mess. Trash overflowing, tables dirty, floor very dirty, and again there were 6 people standing around talking. Don't eat here. read more

I was told I'd have to wait 40 minutes for any hot sandwich! I could have gone to a sit down restaurant and gotten faster service. I've given them 3 shots and each time has been a disappointment. This place made me get food poisoning. I ordered an Italian sandwich cold. When I was eating it, part of it tasted funky, but I kept eating it because I trusted Jersey Mikes. The meat was discolored which was another red flag. I went to bed and throughout the night I would wake up every hour with severe stomach pain. I ended up throwing up several times. I will not be going back to Jersey Mikes ever again. I am calling corporate and complaining. read more

I have such horrible tummy issues with gluten and dairy to the point that it sends me to the hospital. I was not expecting to be treated the way I was treated today at the Edwardsville and because of the way they treated me and my son, I will make this JMS my personal sub shop. We walked in, I asked if they had Gluten Free bread, they said yes (hooray), The prep was fantastic, I watched as the tiny beautiful little person behind the glass stepped up and made sure that everything of mine was put together in one area and was not touched by anything with gluten or dairy. The whole team stepped in and helped when she needed it to get it finished perfectly. I will be going back at least twice a month for my tuna sub.
