My stop today was spontaneous. We wanted to eat a late lunch. We had been shopping at Costco and looked to see what was close by. We drove by Saratoga and decided to give it a try. It is a quaint little place in a strip mall. We didn't expect anything exciting. Holy cow! I was blown away by the food! We ordered some fries with cheddar and bacon. This wasn't just a plate of fries with some cheese and bacon on top. It was a plate of nice fries with bacon and cheddar throughout the little stack. It was really good. I ordered a meatball sub and my husband ordered a small pizza. His pizza was actually a decent size. It made us wonder about the size of the large. My meatball sub was really nice. The meatballs were massive. The cheese was perfect. All in all it was a wonderful lunch! Our waitress was really sweet. She was kind and attentive. This was a surprisingly good meal. I hadn't been here in a minute but my Mom and I decided to come here to see what's new. I ordered a baked spaghetti with meat sauce, and my Mom ordered a chicken parmesan platter. Neither of our meals came with a side salad, which they used to include. We ended-up purchasing small Greek salads separately. My significant other and I visited Saratoga Pizzeria and Grill this evening for dinner we had been craving, and we were unfortunately greeted rudely by the cashier, Pat (I assume her name is Patricia). We introduced ourselves and tried to be friendly while placing our pickup order, but her behavior made us almost walk out. She seemed annoyed, spoke in an unfriendly manner, and overall came across as rude. As someone who works in customer service myself, I find this behavior unacceptable. The cashier is the "face" of the business for customers picking up orders, and the way we were treated does not reflect well on your establishment. I hope this issue can be addressed to ensure future customers have a more positive experience. And as a patron that has been coming here since I was 5 years of age, I don't appreciate that. I must admit that I'm a bit of a pesto snob who lived in Italy for years and also, make my own small batches. My favorite local pizza spot. The ambiance is a no frills casual neighborhood pizzeria. But it gets packed at dinner time and for good reason. The pizza is delicious! My favorite is hands for the sausage pepper pesto pizza!!! Crispy but chewy crust and sauce is well balanced and not overly salty. Lunch food was decent, got the Ranchero wrap and nothing special, but the reason I've docked stars is due to the customer service. I walked up to someone who appeared to be an owner (bald, glasses) or manager thinking he could assist me with my pick up order after being pointed in his direction, only to be met with sarcasm and sass, as if I was bothering him. My bad, didn't know you were too good for your own customers or to help out your employees. Service was nice but very slow when we dined in. We had the bbq chicken pizza and the meatball appetizer. I'd highly recommend both! The meatballs were very flavorful with a significant amount of extra sauce for dipping. The bbq chicken pizza was plentifully topped with pieces of chicken and bbq sauce. The second pizza we tried was just pepperoni and mushroom and, again, showed how well this place does all pizza! The ambience inside is casual and (relatively) kid-friendly. The location in a strip mall with a Giant, Chipotle, and Advanced auto parts means plentiful parking. Definitely looking forward to eating from here again soon! read more

20 Years of patronage to this restaurant has ended. Not because of the atmosphere, the waitress, or the food, BUT because of the manager on duty tonight. I found a hair in my food and I wish I got a photo. My partner saw it and the waitress saw it, but the manager denied it was even there. He comes out of the kitchen to check me out and walks back into the kitchen. Five minutes later he comes to my table and says "I didn't see it". Wow, I know things happen in the kitchen but to deny there wasn't a plain sight hair in my food is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. I mean, this place was just ok. I'm surprised by the great reviews. I have to preface this review with the fact that I grew up in New Jersey and can cook good Italian food. She definitely did a great job taking care of us. 3. My husband had the souvlaki and enjoyed it. His fries were a bit greasy though 4. The baklava was very tasty. Maybe slightly too sweet but definitely flavorful Minuses: 1. The "Italian" food is really mediocre and quite disappointing - I mistakenly ordered eggplant parmigiana. It was so utterly greasy and had absolutely no flavor. The sauce was terrible. I didn't even eat my pasta. The "flavor" if there is one is "salt." -my mom got a pizza and she said "it wasn't bad but the sauce was awful." So yea, if you like mediocre Italian food, great. We always like going to Saratoga Pizzaria! When we moved here we were very excited that this awesome restaurant was right by our home. Everything we've ordered has been good. Today the kids got pancakes (chocolate chip and regular) and French toast. I ordered the Cuban gyro, so good! The mustard and pickles compliment each other perfectly. We also ordered the pita and tzatziki for an appetizer, highly highly recommend this!!! Another great thing about this restaurant is the service. I get it. Small businesses need our support. But not at the expense of ripping customers off or treating people impolitely when we do in fact order and support. I ordered a large Athenian salad and a medium gyro pizza. The salad was delicious (extremely overpriced, but delicious nonetheless. Very fresh. Smaller portion than I would have expected for a 20 dollar unimaginative salad). This was our second time getting the gyro pizza. The quality has severely gone down. It tastes doughy. It tastes rushed. It looks like it had been sitting out from 3 days ago and was reheated. The amount of gyro on the pizza was also much less than our previous time ordering. The quality of the management matched the quality of the food. This establishment is not operating with integrity. I ordered off the menu this company has on there website. When I went in, what I was being charged was more than what is displayed on there website menu. I asked the lady ringing me up if should could please charge me the price I was anticipating based on the prices on there own website. She called the manager over- he aggressively and dismissively told me to take their new paper menu and to pay the price that was rung up. He placed the new paper menu on top of my pizza, shrugged his shoulders and condescended me in front of his other customers and staff. The managers tone and approach were so aggressive towards me when I never once approached him in rudeness. I just spent over 40 dollars on one pie of pizza and one salad and got disrespected over a few dollars. He could have handled the situation in so many different ways... especially since I was gentle in my approach- the pandemic was hard on everyone, customers included. I wish I could have been met with the same respect and kindness I awarded him as a human being. This may have been an off day, but this was my experience with this order and this manager. read more
