Have been going to McAlister's since it opened and the food is always consistently good. They always have a wide range of choices and some seasonal additions like their lasagna soup, which they have now and is delicious! I'm usually a sucker for the Choose 2 with the 1/2 Reuben and chili, but their Savannah chopped sales with chicken salad is also yummy. Nice and busy lunch rush on a Wednesday. Lines were moving along well. Loos like the drive-through was not too backed up. The cashier was friendly and patient with us while waiting for us to select out items. We ordered the Italian 1/2 sandwich with potato salad and 1/2 a roast beef sandwich with au juice and steamed broccoli. My broccoli was tasty, but I felt that my sandwich was kind of bland. So next time I will order something else. Usually, I love McAllister's food. I just made a wrong choice. My friend loved her sandwich and her side of potato salad. I like my potato salad to have more mustard or flavor. Anyway, it was a good lunch with plenty of choices. I would like to give a big shout out to this location. The restaurant, staff, food, and location were amazing. As soon as my family and I walked in we welcomed in by a friendly young man named Logan. He was amazing. He went out of his way to be friendly and very helpful. We need more people like Logan in the workplace that have a great attitude, are patient, kind, and positive. I have a love hate relationship with this location. I love that it is close to my work. I love the unsweetened tea is a generous size. I love that broccoli is a side. The downside is the lettuce is often not so fresh, so I end up tossing a good bit of my salad in the trash. I never know if the broccoli is going to be seasoned or not (today it wasn't). Out of all of the orders I have placed marking that I want a pickle, I have only received one. Today, I even asked the young lady at the drive-thru is there was a pickle. She told me yes, it would be wrapped in with the sandwich. Per usual, no pickle. Their health rating of 80 is also concerning, as it means the basics aren't being done to keep a restaurant clean. Pro tip for the broccoli, ask for a lemon wedge. That way is they didn't season it, you can at least some flavor. read more

This is the FOURTH order in a row that McAlister's FUBAR. I must be a glutton for punishment, but I'm done. Last order, I cashed in 1000 reward points for desserts that they did not put into my bag (I ordered on the app for pickup). I ordered sea salt chips and got jalapeño. I HATE spicy anything. I called the Store when I got home and explained that I got the wrong chips and I didn't get the desserts that I had cashed in my rewards for. They said that they were out of the dessert and out of the chips but they didn't bother to tell me. They said they would refund the chips and put the reward points back on, but none of that ever happened. This week I placed a pick up order on the app again, and when I went to pick it up they told me they didn't have the bread I ordered for my sandwich, so they had not even begun to prepare my order. They said they called but the phone went to voicemail. I asked if they had left me a voicemail and they said no. That makes no sense. So I'll wait another 20 minutes after I've already waited 20 minutes and was given my order. When I got home, I realized they had given me barbecue chips. I ordered sea salt again. I called the store and the girl who gave me my order answered the phone. I explained to her that she gave me the wrong chips and she said that they were out of sea salt chips, so she just put barbecue in there without bothering to tell me. I asked her why she didn't tell me before she gave me my order and sent me on my way and she just said she was sorry. She said I could come back up there and pick something else. Are you kidding me? After I spent 40 minutes waiting on a sandwich and drive back home I'm gonna turn around and come back up there and choose something else? What is wrong with you people? I know good help is hard to find but that's no help whatsoever. You've just lost a customer so I hope it was worth it, McAlister's. This is my fourth ridiculous experience with you guys. You are ALWAYS out of items that you let people order on the website, such as croissants, sea salt chips, desserts, etc. If you can't figure out how to order the items that you advertise, take them off your website! That's false advertising, letting people order and pay for something and then you don't even give it to them or tell them that you did not give it to them. Actually, that's theft. You still owe me for the items you never refunded me two trips ago and 1000 reward points. I'm done. I'm deleting the McAlisters app and I will never eat your overpriced food again. My kiddo's love this joint! They also employed a ton of Etowah students which is always great! They are a bit off the beatin path as they are located next to Aldis on Eagle Drive. But, they're a great businesses in this area. They have so many options! Kid's menu as well! The sides can't be beat. You want a sammy? They've got it! My husband and I went there for lunch today. We go there quite a bit, even it is on the pricey side. I ordered the Turkey/bacon on ciabatta with soup. My husband had the Italian and chili. His was like always. Plenty of meat and satisfying. My sandwich came with almost no meat on it. No lettuce or anything else, just a dry piece of bacon and maybe one slice of Turkey. I kept dipping the sandwich into the soup as it was so dry. My husband said to just go up there and complain. I finally did and showed them the dry bread. All they did was yell into the kitchen to put more meat on it next time. We asked for the manager's business card as nobody did anything about me still being hungry after spending $43.00 combined. Brand new McAllisters and it's just as good as the Kennesaw location. The cashier was very helpful and friendly, as well as the rest of the staff. Our first visit to this, new, location in Woodstock. Of course, the food was great, McAlister's food is always great. Congratulations are in order though. They had a couple of people who didn't show up so things were a bit slow. The manager and the kids working handled this with great grace. They made multiple visits to our table to explain the situation and they offered us free cake to ease the pain. Everyone was calm but busy and a bad situation was very well taken care of. How people handle a bad situation tells you much more than how they handle it when everything is smooth. read more

What an awesome addition to the Woodstock area. McAlisters has always been one of my favorite places and I'm so glad it is now close by. I love the food, tea, and the service. Make sure you download their app and get a free tea! I had my first visit here last week and yes it's a new place so they have some kinks to work out, but overall they're doing all they can to make things a pleasant experience. I ordered a choose two and it came out quickly considering the crowd. We went around 1pm on a Friday. They have a big area for the line with 4-5 registers taking orders. They have seating on both sides of the restaurant and an area to pick up Togo orders. I noticed a few hiccups from the kitchen including my sandwich missing half the ingredients, but I was able to talk to the assistant manager and she was very apologetic and resolved the issue immediately. I know this place has potential to be good they just need some time. Everyone on staff is incredibly friendly and wants to make things right so if you have a problem tell them so they can correct it and learn from their mistake. It was busy so I understood the wait for the food, but the Southwest Grilled Chicken Sandwich didn't have much flavor and the Grilled Chicken Spud was really dry. We also had to add sour cream because it doesn't come with it, which is weird. They put butter on the side, which leads me to believe that they didn't put any on the potato which is probably the reason for the dryness. The potato is suppose to come with tomatoes but they forgot it so they brought some out on the side. If you're looking for good juicy potatoes try Jason's Deli. You won't be disappointed. read more

I was completely disappointed with the service here tonight. I walked into the restaurant and stood there and waited because these two gentleman were talking to girls and never even looked my way! I was helped by a girl named, Silvia, and she was in the back removing something from the oven and as soon as she saw me, she came up to the front and asked how she could help me. She apologized for the wait and reassured me that my order would be correct. The gentleman, at this point, were still talking to the girls and if I heard correctly, I believe their names were Colton and Tyler. I've always loved McAlister's and have went for years but this will be my last visit. They started a so called premium menu. So now for almost $30 you can get (2) teas and (2) half jalapeño crunch sandwiches and (2) cups of mushroom soup. So, let's think about this again. The (2) teas are $5 so for $25 you get one sandwich and basically maybe a bowl of soup total. Apparently, this new "premium" menu had just started. Well, you can keep it. I'm not knocking the food or the service as I've never had issues with it but I refuse to pay that much for what you get. It's the same reason I stopped going to Panera. They charge an arm and a leg for basically nothing special. I'll stick with Newk's or Jason's Deli in the future. Good luck with the new menu! read more

Took a long time to receive a food at about 2:30 PM today. Sandwich was barely warm. Four of us ordered and the couple we were with received their food 15 minutes before us. Would be nice to eat together. Floor and trash all over it needed a thorough sweeping and mop. Bathroom why is a mess. A men's room had toilet paper all over the floor and no doorhandle to open the door it had fallen off. Luckily there was a foot thing on the bottom of the door to open it. But I'm afraid a young child might have a hard time getting out of the bathroom. Staff members were talking so it's not like they did not have time to clean. The place is a train wreck...never the same people working there....especially in the kitchen...I don't know who manages this place, but they need to be fired...how can you 'mess up' a club sandwich? Terrible management. I feel sorry for the folks that work there. It took 37 min to receive our order of two sandwiches. Not once did a manager come to the table to update us, or offer us a cookie, or to comp our drinks for dealing with the delay. I did overhear that 4 of the kitchen staff did quit/walk out, but the way the owner/managers handled the staffing issue and the kitchen back up was awful. It's a shame because I do enjoy the food there, however, I won't be returning to this location. I hope it finds new management soon. read more
