This place has a lot of rave reviews for lunch and dinner (which were available at 10:30 am). Since it was a early yet, we ordered breakfast. The French toast was good. The breakfast potatoes were over-seasoned with what seemed like a Greek spice. The eggs were fluffy! The coffee was delicious but I believe I got the last 1/2 & 1/2 as everything else in the bowl was nondairy creamer. She was kind enough to offer me milk. read more

My wife had an acquaintance mention Bistro C in passing. Something about the comment struck her and off we went to check it out. Location: convenient. Don't be thrown off by it's strip mall locale. It is very easy to find. Parking: ample. And close to the door. Decor: clean and neat. I like the prints on the walls. Service: great! Our server was clean, neat, polite, and helpful with menu choices. The food: Don't be thrown off by the limited menu. I think it's wisdom not seen in a world that wants it all. Instead of doing 100 items in a mediocre fashion, Bistro C offers a delightful small selection appetizers, sandwiches and entrees. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip with crostinis. It is a thinner dip than I anticipated and served hot. But the flavor was excellent. I had the beef brisket and pimento cheese sandwiches. Bring your appetite for this one. It's a mouthful. I paired it with french fries. Their fries are fantastic. They come with ketchup but for a small up charge you can add a serving of dijon mushroom gravy. Definitely worth it. My wife had the steak medallions. Perfectly cooked and paired with french fries and sautéed green beans. A wonderful entree. For dessert we tried both the white chocolate bread pudding and the panna cotta. The panna cotta was nice and mild. Even a little refreshing. Definitely worth it. My wife is from New Orleans and can be snobby about bread pudding. Bistro C gets five stars for theirs. Would we eat there again? You bet your boots we will. read more

It's a NO for me! Located in a strip mall, with plenty of parking. Walking in is a bit underwhelming but it is clean and has plenty of seating. The menu is basic with a decent mix of salads and sandwiches which was fine - because I'm basic too. My problem was the fact that the sandwiches we had tasted like stale bread, a slice of the unrefrigerated velveeta and potted meat disguised as a Cuban. The best thing on the menu is the French fries. Even the refills of the sodas came out in a pitcher that had been sitting out...which means flat soda... Service was great, and health inspection was a solid A....but I wasn't impressed so we won't be back. read more

I ordered the French Style Pepper Beef Medallions. The sauce was tasty with a hint of mustard (perhaps Dijon?) and the pepper wasn't overpowering. This has been a regular in our rotation for five years now! The menu has changed very little, but the specials are changed up frequently. If you've not had the brisket and pimento cheese sandwich, you've done yourself a disservice and need to get here post-haste! He has stayed open so far, but sadly it's a one-man operation to do to-go orders. The staff - possibly owners were very nice and it is a darling location that could use a good cook and a lower volume music. We went for breakfast which you should not be able to kill but they did. They were out of crepes, and the panini seemed rather lackluster compared to the rest of our meal. The beef medallions are a sure crowd-pleaser. Tasty and not overdone. Portions sizes are not out of control. I thoroughly enjoyed this dish. But (to me) the clear winner of the evening was the cream of tomato soup. Hands down delicious. We have eaten here several times. We mostly get it to go after my husband is done working out next door. Their food is always on point and the staff is super friendly. The shrimp scampi is to die for but our favorite is the southwestern salad. I wish they sold the dressing! I can't stress enough how much you need to eat here. Never a bad meal or service. We use to live down the road from Bistro C and would frequently eat here when we craved a healthier option than other restaurants around the area. Service was always excellent and the food was always good and fresh. During the colder months I enjoyed a panini with a cup of tomato bisque soup. Other times I really like the beef medallions and fresh vegetables and they have some really good french fries too. A hidden treasure near 575 Exit 14. The signs don't jump out at you, so you have to watch for it the first time. The restaurant is small, nothing fancy. The menu is limited, but everything is so good. I never asked, but the food indicates that the chef is well trained in classic cuisine. Great place for lunch. Sandwiches are always excellent. My office is nearby and we often use them for catering long meetings and customer visits. Go for dinner - it isn't usually too crowded after the lunch crowd thins.
