This place is a hit or miss... The front staff never really seems friendly and almost like you're bothering them when you walk in. The food is also not consistent. It used to be a good place to go and have a nice lunch or dinner , but it's feeling more and more like a fast food restaurant. Wish it was better because I really like Olive Garden.However not loving it much anymore. At first, I truly felt bad for our server, because it seemed like a lot of people were being sat at once and with experience as a server myself, I know it can be a lot. However, the longer we sat, the more disappointed I was with the overall experience. We get our soups and salad. The plates were given for the salad are dirty, with some weird brownish liquid. Move past it, and then I unroll my silverware to see what I assume is old lettuce stuck to it. Our server seems annoyed the entire time, but I ask for a new set of silverware and a refill, and choose to let it go. After about 10 minutes he comes back over and asks if we need anything. I ask yet again for the silverware and refill, and do eventually get that. We then sit for however long we did, and he walks back over asking if we need our check? Meanwhile every single dish is still on the table, so it's clear all we have is salad and soups. He goes to the back and we do finally get our food, and wonders over eventually asking if we need anything, so we have to ask if he can finally clear the table a bit for us to eat. The food was great, per usual, but I was truly surprised by the lack of service. Meanwhile, the table that sat after us seemed to be receiving excellent service. Truly unfortunate. read more

It didn't work, since we wanted soup with the meal. Server was mildly annoyed, at best. Made the experience uncomfortable. Was not asked about refills, just whether or not we were done. We stopped in for a late lunch. We opted for the soup and salad. This visit was a lot better than 2 weeks ago. The server was attentive & friendly. She really seemed to enjoy her job which always makes for a positive experience. The salad was too abundant with onions the first time so she was able to reduce the number of them on the second bowl. This used to be my favorite restaurant in the Cherokee area, but unfortunately our visit yesterday left us with a bitter taste. After a great day, we went to celebrate a big win--my daughter's choice, mainly because she loves getting mints at the end. The last few times she didn't get any and had to ask on the way out, but she still wanted to go. We were seated right by the kitchen and were ready to enjoy Olive Garden's delicious food. Our waitress was fine at first, but things changed once we started ordering. My oldest wanted the unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks, as she always does. The rest of us ordered spaghetti with soup. That's when the waitress started lecturing us about the restaurant's policy, telling us we couldn't share salad or soup. We've never shared soup, but we have shared the salad because the kids don't eat much of it anyway. She insisted that sharing wasn't allowed. In ten years of coming to this location, no one has ever enforced this--or even mentioned it. It immediately dampened our night. It didn't end there. Because of the policy, my daughter had to change her order and chose soup instead. All three of us ordered the Zuppa Toscana, our favorite. I often buy it by the gallon. My kids got full quickly, so I expected to enjoy the rest like I usually do. But not this time. The soup she served me was essentially flavored water--nothing like the usual consistency. It completely ruined it for me. To top it off, my younger daughter didn't receive her mints from the waitress. She had to ask at the front desk on the way out, and they handed her five mints as if it were an afterthought. I truly hope my daughter doesn't ask to go back anytime soon, because after this experience, it'll be a long time--if ever--before I return. read more

The salad came quickly but then those that did not order salad were slow getting their meals. The soupa toscana was not good. Watery with no flavor. The pasta dishes were ho hum with little flavor as well and overcooked pasta so the dishes had the flavor of microwaved marie callender meals. I put us on the wait list before we got there since it was Saturday evening. We didn't have to wait long at all. Our server was really nice. Food and drink were delivered very quickly to the table. I had ordered the gluten free rigatoni pasta with Alfredo and grilled chicken. I had a salad on the side with that. Very good indeed. My friend ordered a ravioli dish they enjoyed. Their daughter ordered plain spaghetti and mozzarella sticks since she wasn't super hungry. The restroom was also clean. I know I ordered a drink there, but I cannot remember which. 12/17/22 My friend and I had dinner at this Olive Garden. We had Calamari as appetizers, and it was as good as I could remember. My friend ordered a Tour of Italy plate and first she was little disappointed because the food was too dry. Our server Mike C. suggested that they will recook her food and she was very happy. The manager even comped our appetizers because of my friend's food. We did not expect that. For me Mike recommended Grilled Chicken Marsala and it was tasty and I was very happy with my dinner. The ambiance was pleasant, food was awesome, and service was really great. Mike new the menu, was very top on things and had a great personality. So, we received outstanding customer service. This Olive Garden is one of our Go to spots when in Canton , for a quick meal. On Saturday on our way back home we decided to stop , Very Glad we did. Our service was absolutely wonderful, from Emily. Food was delivered right out of oven, Bread sticks Hot, and never had to ask for anything. Drinks were kept filled. She came by just enough to make sure everything was what we needed. My wife and I thought both meals we had were especially good on this visit . Went there with my wife and child. They turned us away and they accused my wife of having a fake identification because her valid passport isn't in there passport book system.. Ate here with family last Saturday and had great service but mediocre food. I got the soup and salad. The salad was good except they shorted us on the dressing. But I normally like the Zuppa soup and Pasta Fagoli and both were watery with few ingredients and served lukewarm with the bowl only 70% full. Plus I noticed that the Zuppa potatoes were covered with skin, not just the edges as usual. It was like they used the pealings. It was an expensive meal and I had to order a 3rd bowl of soup just to feel satisfied. Start by saying the waitress was great. However, we had multiple issues with the food. The calamari was undercooked, and we found Hair in the salad. When brought to the attention of the waitress, she apologized and went to get the manager. She came back and said the manager will take care of our bill and we're free to go. We question if the manager was going to come out and speak to us, and the waitress said she was not going to. Despite my rating, this unit is one of the regular restaurants we dine at. I enjoy the soup and salad and it's definitely the same each time. My wife is a menu hopper but never seems to really like anything better than the fried egg plant. The portions seem smaller and often as though they were frozen and then warmed up. I say this because when I cook Italian, I can tell the difference after freezing. Now I hear they are raising prices. Depending on how much will determine if we continue to go there. It's not real Italian but close enough. We eat out 6-7 night a week and the decent places are limited. The bright spot each time we visit is the waiter we always request, JEFF. He makes the meals better. And, its time to get rid of the bread sticks. They're outdated and not that tasty. read more

Joan and I drove 20 miles to visit this restaurant last week and were very impressed with our waitress Alexa and the staff out front when we arrived. Alexa went above and beyond our expectations for service. The food was very good. We had the soup, salad and breadsticks. Alexa kept them coming whenever we wanted more. We took some soup and breadsticks home with us to enjoy the next day. We can't say enough GREAT comments about Alexa! Eating gluten free in North Georgia is always challenging. On Friday night, we visited Canton OG and I was taken care of. I asked for the GF menu, and enjoyed the Zuppa Toscana- tasty and wonderful. The Zappa Toscana is a new addition to the GF Menu! It's an Italian potato soup with a creamy base, potatoes, kale and bacon. I also had the kids meal with rotini, marinara, grapes and chicken. It was great - and I inhaled it. We asked for a complementary wine sample, and the moscato I had was light, with notes of citrus and melon. It tasted wonderful.
