Frog legs, need seasoning very bland

3.5 came here with some friends to enjoy a birthday lunch. The waitress is nice, but I got super busy. Took a little bit to get our food but for the first time and my steak and fish were both really good. Everyone at the table liked their food and agreed that we needed some extra seasoning. They don't have Texas Pete at this restaurant so it's a Tabasco type spot just FYI. It was a little bit chilly. Had a good atmosphere usually a little dark ambience. Had some friends who hadn't been here for years that we brought with us and they enjoyed their food, they had a couple to go boxes. All in all I rather go to this restaurant than the other one on the other side of town. For a bit different, but neither one of them is diverse in anyway, and can make you feel some kind of way when you're the only person over certain ethnicity, background or culture and a crowd a restaurant.

    Top sirloin and asparagus.

The steak was dry and tough. I ordered a top sirloin, rare. It had way too much fat for a sirloin. My sister's (ordered rare) top sirloin was overcooked, dry, tough, and super fatty. Someone else in our party ordered well-done, and their steak was burnt so badly it was inedible. The asparagus was overcooked to the point it was mushy. The potato skin appetizer was the tastiest part of the meal. We never received a drink menu, if they have one. Someone in our party asked about beer, and the selection was mostly cheap American beers. We saw some other customers with wine and possibly cocktails. The atmosphere is laid back. I would call the decor "dark ranch". It's dimly lit with pictures of farms and animals, and I think 2 cow heads. It's not in your face Texas. Lots of wood. It was quite cool inside, so the more sensitive might want a jacket. We came in with a large party. It took almost 3 hours for us all to order and receive our food. People were frequently out of drinks or needing to order something, and couldn't find our waitresses. They have the space, but I wouldn't recommend for large groups.

Had the 10oz. Ribeye medium rare. With German potatoes, a vegetable medley and toasts. Getting this again.

Best steak worst hours. If you're in the mood for steak then it's probably closed during big peak hours.

I walked in just after 6pm on a Tuesday and the only seat left was at the bar, which was fine with me. There was live music playing in the center of the restaurant and a lot of families were enjoying their meals. I drank club soda and ordered a ribeye with German potatoes, which my server recommended. The atmosphere was great. A lot goes on at the bar so it was very entertaining. I was chatting with the people around me as if I'd known them. That's refreshing while on a business trip alone. My food came out pretty quickly. Yum. Steak was seasoned well and cooked just right, medium rare. The potatoes were delicious and reminded me of the vegetables that are often served with a Sunday roast in Germany (I actually lived there for 25 years). A restaurant does not have to be 'upscale' to receive a high rating. I did take away a star for the salad. It was just ok, pre-made and kept in the fridge until time to serve it. The romaine edges were dry, as were the carrots. The dressing was fine and I did eat the whole salad. As a matter of fact, I cleaned my plate. The guy to the left of me asked me if I was gonna post the empty plate on YELP with my review. Great idea. It turns out that the man was Ford Swanson Jr., the owner. I had no idea and I told him that. His response was, "I didn't want you to know." I guess he wanted to see if I really liked my food. Anyway, I don't even know if he looks at his YELP reviews or not but if he does, "Thanks McBride Steakhouse for treating me to a delightful evening!"

We waited maybe 15 minutes after we logged in. We got seated and then our bad experience started. Our server -Jaytee didn't show up at our table for almost 10 minutes. We ordered drinks and they didn't come for another 10. The restaurant was full and there was one bartender making drinks!! Finally got our drinks and the server would disappear. We ordered our food and I ordered the Road Kill (Medium) - no mushrooms, mashed potatoes and a cup of chili. I did ask for brown gravy for the meat and potatoes. I also asked for the chili to come out hot because my experience has been it comes out lukewarm warm at best, every time. So the results: - My chili was like warm again. Had to send it back. - My meat and potatoes came out without gravy. Had to ask for it again. - My meat was over cooked. Hard as a shingle. - Our friends had a Critter Salad she said was good. Her husband had a ribeye with steak fries. He never got his fries until he was almost done with his meal. He asked about them twice. I have this place two stars but that is generous. We probably will not be back.

HOSHI! I found you on uber eats and you gave me faith in amazing food in Wichita Falls! Hoshi, I've ordered so many items and not once have I been disappointed. Plus! Having Thai iced tea sent me overboard on taste and tummy happiness. You all have made me feel at home in hella insanely unfamiliar territory. THANK YOU! Also: I want to add since I read reviews about how it's fake crab.... You're not smart. You live in north Texas. Seriously?! King crab has been frozen for a long time before it hits your stomach and isn't as delicious as it would be fresh off the boat. Blue crab is expensive so I'm sure you'd complain about that as well. Maybe develop your pallet to something other than 'crab,' or ask the correct questions about what you are ordering
