I was frantically looking all over for disinfecting as well as gloves, I remembered when I was in college we use this place as a vendor and I wasn't too sure if they would take general public I pulled in and walked right in and there was no issue so very grateful for their help during this difficult time, that's scary and uncertain. This is a MUST visit store. As a new business owner, I was recommended this place by a friend. I walked in and was a little lost at first by all the things they had available. I then asked for help from a gentleman at the desk and asked if I could be helped 1 on 1, so I could ask all my questions because I started a brand new project that following Monday, and it was Friday by 4 pm! Let me tell you, this man walked me thru the entire store and answered everything I asked, and guided me on what I would need to be completely ready for this 100 Unit building. After gathering everything I needed, I joked and told the man that without him knowing were now going to be best friends, and I hope he's there often so he can always help me. What a fantastic worker this guy is to help me like this. He replied, " I Should be. I'm one of the owners. I HAVE to be here" my Jaw dropped. I couldn't believe How well this man had treated me, the patience, the knowledge, the guidance! This man's name is Kevin McCalla! Parking lot is in the back. Entrance is in the back. When I walked in, it was very busy on a Tuesday afternoon. Luckily, I was able to make eye contact with a guy behind the counter and he was able to help me. I was there on a mission to get 2 items - a bathroom shower glass squeegee and the most powerful kitchen degreaser they had. The guy was able to help me with both items recommending what he thought would be best for the job I described. I got a 14'' squeegee that has a replaceable rubber part for ~$9. A rubber refill was $2. A gallon of their strongest degreaser was ~$12. Will report back on how the products work. read more

Had to come here for work to get a replacement part for a vacuum. I called ahead of time to make sure they had the part, which they did. When I got there, they greeted me when I walked in and helped me find the part I had called in for. They double-checked to make sure it was the correct part for our vacuum (using our picture and measuring everything). I purchased it and was on my way! They have a lot of items for janitorial services/items. Parking was also easy. They have a private lot in the back where the entrance is. read more

I've been going to McCalla for our janitorial supplies for years, the quality of their products, prices and service is excellent. The rear gem is their repair shop. I cannot say enough great things about Peter especially. Every time we've had an issue with a vacuum or carpet cleaner he's been able to fix it quickly and at a very at a reasonable price. I have been to other stores of this type before however upon entering I imideatley understood that they have a crowning example of a complete selection of floor cleaning and other chemicals and solutions. Be it sturdy comercial grade metal dust pan, citrus cleaner (dlimonene) or comercial wer dry vac machine, I realized they are pricing everything with some of the lowest pricing that could be found for same or comparable items. They did me a huge kindness as o brought in a comercial carpet wer dry machine with a malfunctioning pump, right away the service tech suggested the possible diagnosis then he discovered it was not a serious problem and repaired it without any charge. I deduce they are honest competent and competitive. Right away they earned my respect and I would recommend anyone to go in and see all the many cleaning products which are usefull for comercial as well as household use. AMAZING customer service here. Came into the service department with my Mytee 300h having an issue. I tried troubleshooting it on my own assuming it was vapor locked or had a clogged line and could not figure it out. I believe Peter Trujillo was the guy who helped me. He was able to get it working in just minutes, being that it was not a serious issue he was very straight forward with me and did not upsell me on a service I did not need. As a customer, that honesty goes a long way and they've definitely earned my support! read more

Not the best place to send a woman. It's really sad to say. When I or my mom have gone to this place we don't get what we ask for and there's almost like a hesitation towards women. This doesn't just go for us, but others I have noted inside the store as well. My family has been going to this place for many years, since I was a very young kid. There is only ONE woman working there and the rest are all men, unfortunately, this isn't surprising. I just contacted the better business bureau because of how poorly this place treats customers. This business doesn't look out for their customers at all. If you're not careful they will over charge you, they'll sell you what you didn't go there to buy (without what you actually asked for), and they are rude. If it's a busy day, you have to be a regular to get any attention. They will throw things on the counter towards you and act incredibly condescending. I have a degree, 3 actually, but they don't know that, they just judge you because of what you look like. I was running an errand there for someone else and, after clarifying THREE times that we were doing an exchange, he hands me money back without a word or asking if that's what I wanted. He (Kevin) then proceed to laugh and the whole place just found another woman to go after. I stopped and told him that he needed to use his words and growing up would help. Day in and day out, I work with children that have various disabilities, from mild to severe, and I promise, that even they would never act the way some of the men working there do. It's sad because as the new generation arises, is this what we want for them? To look down on women and people that we presume are uneducated? That's called discrimination, sexism, that needs to be left in past. The very past. When I called my mom to tell her about the exchange issue, she replied, "that's how they are there." Pathetic that she already knew, right? It's a place that you go and buy what you need because very few places have what they have, that being said- we buy everything else far away from this location. recently broke my vacuum and was going to get a new one until a friend suggested coming here and seeing if they could fix the thing for me. The people here are super friendly and patient and did not make fun of the fact that i did not know if my vacuumed was bagless or not. it is not btw... three days later and it was working better then i remember it working. the thing is only about 1 year old so...thank you for saving me some cash read more

Incredible service. We were rejected from a vacuum repair place because the prong on the plug broke and they said they couldn't fix it. Electricians quoted us over a hundred dollars. McCalla fixed it for $16 in about ten minutes! $8 for the part, $8 for labor and they even tested it. read more

I've been coming to this store off and sine 1980. After a hiatus of 20 years I recently stopped by their new location, or new to me location as it has changed since I use to frequent the place. Expecting to get the same good service and information as I had in the past, I was disappointed to experience some not so honest info this time around. I needed to get a good portable carpet cleaning machine. Came here to buy a Mytee portable which are great machines. They carry them as well, but instead of buying one form them they spent the next 20 minutes tryng to get me to buy another brand. one I came to discover is made by them and carried a higher profit margin. Very disappointed. I left not buying their brand of machine, but also not getting the Mytee either. They lost my sale. Hope they learn from this experience. read more

They have everything here to clean your house. A guy named Craig helped me out and showed me every type of cleaner there was for the toilet. I have stubborn rust stains and the stuff at home depot just didn't work. Not only do they have a good variety, they have lower prices. Their toilet cleaners were a dollar less than the stuff I bought at J&M in Culver City. I'm coming here for every household cleaning item. read more

I went here to get a portable steam cleaning machine. They are a Mytee distributor and a Mytee is what I was looking for. To make a long story short, they tried to get me to buy another portable that was inferior because they make it and make more money on it. If it was a comparable portable that be one thing but it was an inferior machine. I left and will not be back. They thought I was new to the business, little did they know I've been in it a long long time. I suggest you stay away from McCallas. read more

I bought a sanitaire vacuum here about a year and a half ago. I brought it in for service this last week and their repair guy Dave was AMAZING!!! This is old school service at it's best. I took in my machinery to get repair. I called the tech for an update and he told me if I want my machine to be ready this week I had to tip him or to come and pick up my machine because he would fix it! And he wouldn't bothered to look at it and it might be ready to pick up after a week and 2 days. I when to pick up my machine I asked to speak to a manager but they don't have a manager. Apparently I was told that no one has a title and everyone at the shop is equal there's no one to complain or cares of the customer. I told one of the sons and they said the couldn't believe it and the tech when to hide when I went to pick my item. I'm not willing to tip him, first because I'm paying to fix my machinery and second because that not how you conduct a business. Both Sons are very confrontative with customers and like to argue in person and on the phone as well as some of there employees. I don't know what there think customers are to them, instead of helping the customers they treat them as if their asking for favors and don't understand how to do customer service and manage situations is but has gotten worst this couple of months. Very disappointing how they conduct their business and negative actitudes from the owners sons and employees, this not acceptable at all. read more

When we bought our business the previous owner used this company. We decided to give them a try and it was great for a couple of months. We decided to not proceed with this company as one of the representatives called our business and was rude and angry demanding payment, when no invoices had been sent to our accounting department. No invoice, no previous phone calls, no communication with us. It sad really, but we do not need to feel harassed when doing business when getting our janitorial supplies.
