I was very pleased with my experience. Mariam was very quick to respond and the rate she gave me was very reasonable, especially that most contractors will give you an hourly rate and never really tell you how long it will take them to do the work. I was in a hurry to get the work done so Mariam was able to come in the evening and work late. I had a couple pieces missing to fix one of the doors and I was worried that they wouldn't be able to finish up. Mariam went to the store that night and picked up what was needed to finish the job. They honored the original quote they gave me and worked until 10:30PM. I also appreciated the fact that they cleaned up after themselves. This is the first time I've tried a furniture assembly team and MSSC was TERRIFIC! I needed a Murphy wall bed assembled and installed and the five heavy boxes and hundreds of parts were daunting. There was a photo of a similar bed on their Yelp website which is what convinced me to hire them. Maryam and Charles came on time and got right to work. I occasionally checked in on them and asked a few questions but they obviously knew what they were doing and were incredibly efficient. I also appreciated their helpful advice on how to carefully load up the mattress (which I didn't have yet). I recommend them and will use them again if I have a large project like this. I have not been pleased with Maryam for this past year, I has hired her for a big job at my property rental. I looked up Yelp and I found MCCS. The reviews were outstanding, but when she had a conflict with the person renting my house, she decided she didn't want to finish the job. If you ask me I would not recommend her? Not for big jobs and beware cause she'll cope an attitude and blame you. She needs to take the responsibility for her own actions. read more

I'm sorry to have to leave this less than positive review. The extra star because MCCS does do very good work for a good price - if you can actually reach them and get them to show up. My first experience with them was good; I did have a bit of trouble scheduling and they canceled once on me. But they did a great job wall mounting my tv. I asked them if they'd be interested in installing skylight blinds and potentially some other jobs and they said sure. I contacted them the second time several weeks ago because I wanted my wall mounted TV lowered (totally my fault for not realizing what height I needed the first time and thus I offered to pay full installation price plus wall patching, painting etc to lower the TV), install a sound bar, and install the blinds for my skylight. This time it was very hard to communicate with them, and they initially couldn't even fix a date and time since apparently they were too busy with a bigger project. After finally fixing a date, they texted me they day of the appointment an hour before they were scheduled to show up canceling due to car problems and asked to come the next day. I said sure. The next day they also canceled exactly an hour beforehand because apparently they weren't feeling well, but suggested sometime that weekend. Once again I said sure and let them know when I was available on Sat and Sunday. Never heard back. I texted them one final time and of course no response. I really wanted this done before the holidays when family will be coming and now I'm left scrambling trying to find another handyman to do these things. I suspect that perhaps my job is too small for them and I live too far away. If that's true, please just say so and don't string me along. Too bad, because I am considering a kitchen renovation and some other work in the spring/summer and would have hired them based on the great work they did for my friend. But I really don't think its worth the hassle. read more

The first time was cancelled due to bad weather, the second time Maryam forgot about the appointment, and the third time I did not care. The first two times required follow up by me.
