Assembled office desk. Installed curtain Rod and hung curtains.

Maryam from MCCS did an amazing job hanging pictures in my "She Den" as well as provided helpful aesthetic feedback regarding placement of the pictures to ensure a proper flow. She assembled two desks where one did not have instructions and the other had very limited instructions. She figured it out and they look great. She installed curtain rods in my daughters' room and my office and even hung the curtains which I told her she didn't have to do. Everything looks 10 times better in our home, thanks to her. Very responsive and pays close attention to detail. In addition, her prices were very reasonable. I will definitely enlist her services again!

They built out Lindale Playset and did a fantastic job. They were on time and work steadily till it was done. You could tell they've built many of these.

Maryam was awesome! She installed a backyard discovery thunder ridge playset for us and sealed it as well. She was very knowledgeable and communication was excellent! She was always available by phone and via text, and I was so appreciative of that. The playset was assembled beautifully and she also leveled it well to our ground. The playset does not wobble at all and I can trust that my kids can enjoy it safely. Thank you!

Maryam is the best and not only a perfectionist, but she created something from a picture that was custom for us. We needed window boxes to protect our partially below ground basement windows, as we had a situation with water running in from a bad rain a few times. She knocked it out of the park and then some! Her work speaks for itself and you know she will do any job the way you need it done. I can't recommend her enough and can't wait to have her do more work we need in our house to make sure it's done right!

We highly highly recommend Maryam! She's professional, follows through with appointment and works very hard. We're so pleased and trusted her while away and with other contractors. She has helped us transform our home in a very short period of time! Thank you and we will see you again!!

Maryam and Charles have come back several times to work on additional projects. Love them. They are very punctual, reasonably priced, and know their limits. When and if they can't do the job themselves they have a very good network of referrals (for more complicated electrical or plumbing work, for example). Most recently they came out to install a shower door, upgrade some outlets and switches, and swap light fixtures for us. When I hired them years ago I didn't realize they took on more complex projects like kitchen cabinet install, tile/flooring, and bathroom remodeling. I wish I had known! They did an awesome job on my neighbor's kitchen (there are pics on Yelp of the very hip, mid century minimalist design) and my neighbor is an architect by trade. I definitely recommend their work and professionalism. Over and over again.

So many cracks.. no wonder the leaks

It is with regret that I am posting this 1 star review - we hired Mariam and Charles for A LOT of work.. tile 4 different bathrooms, back splash kitchen, light installation and wall mount various things. Like other negative reviews mentioned, the work quality and punctuality depends on if she feels like working or not. Showing up on a scheduled time is rare - something usually comes up, and the original scheduled time needs to be pushed up or later. The constant changing of times make planning everything else super difficult. Anyways, but things do eventually get done.. even when they are finished no where near the promised time window and sometimes with terrible workmanship. So why only 1 star? Mariam and Charles gutted and retiled two bathrooms about 3 months ago, Mariam came back 2 or 3 times to fix cracked caulking (property was vacant, so caulk had plenty of time to dry). Well, last night water ran down from one of the newly retiled bathroom to the dining room ceiling below. Our new handyman dug up all the caulking around the bathtub, and most of the caulking are wet. The toilet installed on top of the new tiles was also leaking water into the floor. The only reason we decided on the bathroom renovation was to prevent leaks. Their sub par workmanship, after only 3 months, caused more issues than preconstruction. I'm very disappointed with this latest development. P.s. Mariam will spin her inability to perfect a job to customer with unrealistic expectations. If I paid several hundred for caulking bathrooms, I expect the caulk not to have cracks and leak after a few weeks. Edit - as I predicted, Mariam attacks my character and excuses rather than owning up to her crap ass job done. We recommended MCCS to 2 friends, and both friends would never hire or recommend them either. Friend 1 hired them for a full bathroom renovation, MCCS forgets to put in a water seal under the new shower pan, so after the first shower, water leaked to the floor below. Not to mention, the job took 3 months to complete. Friend had to hire someone else, to basically redo the entire shower. Crap ass job done Mariam. Friend 2 hired them to put in a glass shower door, MCCS drilled into the shower tiles incorrectly, and had to redo. But they failed to let the homeowner know they made a booboo.. rather just collected the cash and left. If you want a handyman to may or may not show up, do a half ass job.. go ahead and hire this company. Look through my pictures of their past jobs.. I'm not picky - they are just amateurs.

They did such a great job helping me assemble my furniture for my new home. They were done in less than 2 hours and had helped me: 1. Move furniture up from my packaging room to my apt. 2. Unbox and assemble furniture. 3. Set up my rooms. 4. Break down all of the boxes and get rid of them as well as other trash from packaging. Highly recommend them, and will use them again in the future. Please see photos attached!

Maryam and Charles helped me replace an old, outdated shower valve through a hole the size of a Delta cover plate (seen in the picture) without having to tear down the shower wall or cut out a large opening. I did not want to rebuild/retile the wall. I talked to several plumbers and handymen who were either clueless about this cost-effective cover plate fix or refused to work in such a tight space. One other plumbing service was willing to do the job for 750$-850$. Maryam, on the other hand, understood exactly what I wanted done and had experience with similar projects using remodeling/repair cover plates. She was responsive and easy to communicate with. Moreover, she was able to get it fixed for a reasonable price. They arrived on time. It wasn't an easy job - not only was the opening super tight but there was another set of copper pipes and a valve adjacent to the one that needed to be replaced - he had to be careful not to sweat those by mistake. The plumber, Mr. Nick Gray, was skilled and efficient - at times he had to troubleshoot and improvise - he managed to sweat the pipes safely through that small opening you see in the picture and make the connections properly. It took him over three hours - he was patient and got the job done satisfactorily. The cost was super reasonable and I will definitely use their services for other projects around the house. - PF

I was especially impressed on the most recent project that included mounting of a digital photo frame. Carlos simply "wasn't having it" to mount the frame with the electrical cord showing! He expertly drilled holes and snaked the cord through the inside of the wall and back out just above the electrical outlet for an amazingly clean look. He had the finishing caps to cover the entry and exit holes too. Carlos and the crew also took a very personal interest in mounting my career memorabilia (22 plaques and awards!) beautifully in my home office. And they are undaunted by "oddball" stuff like mounting clips for a tapestry in my media room to cover unsightly electrical panels. Their excellence starts with the manager Marc who gathers a LOT of information from you (pictures, model numbers, installation videos, etc.) so that the crew arrives fully prepared. Not only are their prices very competitive, but Flatpack offers a flat RATE quote so that the crew stays until the job is completed. I'm very pleased to have found this amazing company.

Once you reach out to them with the specifications of your project they will quickly respond with an estimate and even pictures of similar projects they've done. I reached out on a Monday and was able to have my wall be installed on Saturday. Now that's service! Trey was/is the 'real deal'; very professional! ...worth every dollar! When he set up his tables, tools and camera to video the install I knew I was in good hands! He was helped by Khadir and another young man. They communicated well and made a great team. They arrived early (who does that? Contractors are rarely on time). He explained everything along the way, to include the parts that were missing (luckily it was only a few screws that he had in his tool box), how to work the bed, and which mattress would be the best for that bed (based on the instructions given). I am so relieved to have this project complete. I have no doubt about it being installed correctly. Great job. I'll definitely call them again if I need similar service. By the way, they also followed up with a detail list of what was missing (by part number/name) and where to find it in the manual. That made it easy for me to get replacement parts from the manufacturer. Great job Flatpack!

I had started the job myself but got an anchor screw stuck and figured I should have a pro step in so I didn't wreck my new walls. All the supplies were here, placed where they needed to be, holes were measured and marked for custom made rods and drapes. He charges by the hour and moves very, very slow. He didn't have his own step ladder or anchor screws. In the first hour, he managed to put in 3 screws in holes that had already been marked. He claimed he "needed to remeasure" and that's why it took so long, but he used the holes that I had already marked. He also said it was too hard to do with custom cut rods. He also said it wasn't his fault because I had an anchor screw stuck in the wall already, which was the whole reason I hired him. This is what pros do: they come prepared, know the required materials and techniques, and advise the customer on the best way to proceed. I knew we needed to cut it off when he asked me how to use an anchor screw. He didn't know if you needed to pre-drill or not for a very basic and common anchor. I cannot imagine a professional handyman not knowing that. He used a level to stare at the pre-marked holes for what seemed like an eternity, just eating up time. 3 screws = $200. Seems like a nice enough man, but handyman may not be the profession for him, and that's giving him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't just trying to take advantage of someone he assumed was too naive too know how long the job should take. He became very defensive, making excuses when I said we'd need to end the job at one hour. Im sure judging by other less than 5 star reviews here (that I really wish I'd have taken the time to read) he will post a very defensive response here as well. Please just don't take a job you don't have the required expertise to complete, and I don't want to hear defensive excuses when I'm still out $200 for almost no work completed.

Patrick was quick to respond and removed the cost of the replacement lock from our invoice. (Very kind, thank you!!) Second, I don't think they told us the right kind of paint to buy because it has always looked too matte and stroke-y, and has lately started to bubble. In the future, I would do more research about what type of paint to buy rather than ask the guy who shows up -- I shouldn't have sprung it on them, even though they were more than happy to do it. Who knew that door paint selection could be such a process? Despite these two notes, I would definitely use Patrick's again in the future. A reason for hiring them for this small job was to evaluate their ability to handle a large job - painting the exterior of our house. Based on my experience with the small job I will not consider them. A two-man team was sent. The person who repaired and repainted the bedroom ceiling did a good job. The person who repainted the bathroom did not do a good job. Specifically, the area below the bathroom mirror light fixture had a surface problem that was not addressed. Possibly an attempt to cover the problem was made by applying a very thick paint application. Not only did this not correct the problem but added to it as clearly visible paint brush marks were left behind. I do not understand why a clearly visible problem was not corrected at the time. It is not easy to contact Patrick's Painting but l eventually did and they sent someone to correct the problem. So, a problem that should have not existed was corrected. The outcome for Patrick's Painting is that I will not consider them for painting my house. The included photograph is of the defects as they were left originally. Whether the job was fairly priced or not, I do not know. I was not concerned with the price of this job, but rather the quality of work performed. They do not measure up.
