The manager refused to honor it, claiming we "didn't have an entree" because we hadn't gone through the line in person. We explained that we had already purchased two entrees and showed proof of our order. He then changed his explanation and said the coupon only worked if you purchased an entree while going through the line. The problem is that nowhere on the coupon does it state that online orders are excluded or that the entree must be purchased in person. If there are additional restrictions, they should be printed on the coupon instead of being made up at the register. It wasn't about the value of the chips and queso. It was about honoring a promotion as it is written and treating customers fairly. The interaction came across as dismissive, and as the manager, I expected him to either honor the clearly worded coupon or politely explain an official policy. Instead, we left feeling like the rules were being invented on the spot. We enjoy Qdoba's food, but experiences like this make us think twice about coming back.
