It's a relatively small spot on 2nd Street, but don't let the size fool you. This place delivers big where it matters: hot, made-to-order food and friendly service that makes you feel welcome right away. I walked in fully intending to go with a classic burger... but sometimes you've got to listen to the people. On their way out, a couple told us it was their first visit too and highly recommended the French Dip and the daily special. That was all I needed--I made the audible. What We Ordered: * French Dip with au jus and fries * Chili Cheeseburger with fries The Food: The French Dip was the star for me--tender beef, plenty of melted cheese, and that au jus brought it all together. Solid, no-frills comfort food done right. The chili cheeseburger was messy (in a good way) and packed with flavor. Fries were crispy and did their job. Everything came out hot, fresh, and exactly how you want it. The Vibe: Casual, laid-back, and exactly what you'd expect from a local comfort food joint. Nothing fancy--but that's not why you're here. Service: Very friendly across the board. You can tell they care about the experience, and that goes a long way. Final Thoughts: This is one of those places where you already know you'll be back before you leave. I give this spot an 8 out of 10. Great server and friendly staff. Location was easy to get to and close to UCO. We had the chicken fried steak, loaded fries, and Spicy Big Sexy hamburger. CFS was great.. large size and could easily be shared. The sides I got were okra and rings. They were ok since out of season for okra. Hopefully they do fresh when it's time. The fries were definitely not loaded, just sprinkled- I would skip these. Hamburger was tasty- lots of layers and very filling. It's a casual dinner but definitely not college friendly prices being close to it. Bring your burger sugar daddy. I would return to try more items. read more

A friend mentioned this place on social media the other day so we decided we would try it for dinner tonight. What a great little place! My wife had the hot beef sandwich and really enjoyed it. She said the roast beef was really tender and seasoned well. I had the bacon cheeseburger, but added a fried egg to it. I love it when I can add a fried egg to a burger! Instead of french fries I decided to try the onion rings which were cooked perfectly and were nice and thick. My other daughter had the regular burger and french fries. She thought the french fries were excellent and were nice and crunchy. Overall, this was a great experience and we really enjoyed it. I definitely want to go back and try their chicken fried steak or chicken tenders because they looked really really good when I saw other people ordering them. read more

First time, ordered a veggie burger with a side of green beans. It was one of the best veggie patties I've had! However, the green beans had bacon in them, and while its my mistake for not asking, I would hope the staff would inform the customer ordering a vegetarian burger that their side of vegetables isn't vegetarian. My party enjoyed their burgers too but noticed that the "premium" side of mac and cheese was box mac and cheese (probably Kraft) with some shredded cheese sprinkled on top. Another excellent visit to Patties, came on a Friday for lunch and it was busy. I'm glad they're doing well because their food is legit! On this trip I tried their fried onion cheeseburger and for my side, I was try to be almost healthy and picked the green beans. Just so you know, when you walk in , grab a menu and decide , then get in line to order, they give you a number and you find a seat, if they aren't busy, they may do things differently but on this trip , thats how it worked ... Anyway ,,on to the important stuff ...food came out fast besides them being busy, burger was nice and hot , cheesy and oniony, (yes i made that up ) I knew i should've ordered double meat !! Now I know .. Green beans were cooked with my favorite seasoning --BACON--and they were tasty! This was the best cheeseburger I have had in a long time. Meat was juicy and delicious and the bun was good plus it was huge! I ordered the jalapeno popper burger. Word is out on a new local burger, etc. spot (formerly the Hive). Went for lunch on a Friday a little after 11:00 and were third in line to order. By the time we left the line was 5 deep, no open tables and people waiting outside. Take out orders were also steady. Although busy, the two staff running the front never seemed overwhelmed, but never stopped taking orders, running out orders, bussing tables and refilling drinks. Kudos! Our order came in a reasonable amount of time and was HOT! I ordered the old-fashioned burger with mustard instead of the Pattie sauce. I did ask for it on the side to try. Glad I did as it was similar to Thousand Island (not a fan) plus it's not an old-fashioned without mustard. The okra side was some of the best I've had; hot, lightly battered, not overcooked and I could actually taste the okra. My wife had the onion burger which had both grilled and haystack (?) onions which she thoroughly enjoyed. Her fries where hot and much better than fast food fries. The seating area has basic furniture and nothing on the walls except for 2 TVs. The music was classic rock and thankfully well short of concert volume. Excellent burger place near the UCO campus! I joined a friend for lunch on a hot Wednesday at the end of July. I was the only customer in the dining room at 11:45 am. We were joined by 3 other parties while we ordered and ate. It looks like they are doing a decent takeout business too. I can't imagine how busy this place is when the school year starts. I ordered Stanley's onion burger because I love onion burgers and I like to compare burger places based on that particular burger. This one delivered in every way. The bun and patty fit nicely, the patty was thin but flavorful, the grilled onions were some of the biggest I have seen, the pickles added zest, and there was a generous serving of mustard. I might actually ask them to put the mustard on the side next time. The top of the bun was buttered as a nice final touch. I ordered fried okra as a side. As other reviewers noted, the breading is fairly light. It doesn't appear to be breaded by the restaurant staff, but that's okay. It was fried enough to give it a crispy coating but not overdone. My dining companion ordered the mushroom swiss burger. I will have to try it on my next visit because it had the largest amount of mushrooms I can remember seeing on a restaurant mushroom swiss burger. For me, that is the best part about ordering this particular burger. If it were closer to where I live, I would be back soon. However, I am certain to return. read more

We loved the breakfast spot open in this location previously so decided to try it. Good thing. It's home cooked food, that you didn't have to cook. I had a crispy, perfectly cooked chicken fried steak with mash potatoes, cream gravy and crispy fried okra. My husband had the roast beef with mash potatoes, brown gravy and green beans. The Hot beef sandwich I tried was ok, but not how I remember ever having it served. The roast beef had decent flavor but was dry. Traditionally served on Texas toast. This was served on barely griddle white bread that was very soggy. The gravy was obviously out of a packet and they served a minuscule amount with a dish that has it as one of its core ingredients. The mashed potatoes were also instant and served on the side Again with a small amount of gravy. Overall, this dish being one of their specials could've been done a lot better. I would be willing to give them another try for one of their burgers, but I have the feeling that I would be equally as disappointed. read more

This place is awesome!! The food was good old fashioned home cooking and absolutely delicious. I had the open face roast beef with mashed potatoes and smothered in brown gravy. Amazing!! My hubby and granddaughter both had the chicken fried steak, smothered in white gravy with mashed potatoes, they also each got a second side, my hubby said it was wonderful and my granddaughter ate her entire plate. The convenience of the location is great for North Edmond. The service was also excellent with being both quick and responsive. Dining area is nicely, outfitted with sitting and good color, however, the music is about 40 dB too loud. We were specifically there to try the burgers since there had been so many high ratings. That was a disappointment. The burgers (got a mushroom Swiss burger) are fresh and cooked well, but there's not the extra juicy quality or special seasoning that really grabs your attention. They're just "OK". French fries had a little bit of special seasoning that was faint, and they weren't really cooked crispy, but more of the softer almost mashed potato texture. The French dip was similar in mediocre/fine quality, but nothing to really grab you. On both the mushroom Swiss burger, and the French dip, grilled onions, are one of the things I look forward to, and these were certainly nothing to rave about. Bland. Prices are reasonable, but if I'm going to spend $11-$13 on a burger, I really want more of a savory delight than what this provided. read more
