#16 Club Lulu (cucumber added) on 9-grain wheat. $5.95.
    Jeff M.

I think we have a problem, you guys... We keep ending up at Jimmy John's at least once a week. What can I say, we're simple folk. We find something we like, then it becomes a part of our routine until something terrible happens to keep us away. I dunno what we love so much. It could be the 9-grain wheat bread, or the fairly liberal toppings, or the fact that I'll be ordering, and they'll have started making the sandwich even before all of the words have left my mouth. Now I actually make sure to specify, "I need these sandwiches on the 9-grain wheat, please" before anything else. If I don't, they'll have already added the mayo and tomatoes on the french bread before I finish getting the rest of the order out. Also, I'm in and out faster than any fast-food drive-thru in town. They really do try to abide by their whole "Freaky Fast!" thing. Total for two people (every time): $12.91. As far as sandwich chains are concerned, this is one of our favorites. But you probably figured that out considering every other picture I upload seems to be from here... P. S. If you swap out the wheat bread for the white bread on the cheaper ($4.95) sandwiches, there's an upcharge (last I checked it was $0.75, but it may have gone up). Which makes it almost the same price as the $5.95 sandwiches except without as many ingredients. So... don't pay for the upcharge, just order from the $5.95 menu. Also, the wheat bread is so much better than the white bread. So much. P. P. S. Prices have gone up. Now it's closer to $15 for two sandwiches. I'm not sure the sandwiches are worth that, but they never bothered to ask my opinion... I'm giving it anyway.

#10. Hunter's Club (onions and Jimmy mustard added) on 9-grain wheat. $5.95.

Every time I heard someone say something good about Jimmy John's, I always thought, "meh, I've had better." The reason is because many years ago, I was told that the best thing about Jimmy John's were their unwiches. Being the easily influenced child that I was, I ordered the unwich and was rapidly disappointed. Three years later, I finally went back. Instead of an unwich, I ordered a Hunter's Club with onions and mustard. If only time machines existed; I would slap my younger self for wasting time with the unwich. They don't skimp on the ingredients. When they advertise a 1/4 pound of meat, they're not joking. Follow that up with plenty of lettuce, onions, Jimmy mustard, tomatoes, provolone cheese, and a generous amount of real Hellmann's Mayonnaise and you've got yourself one heck of a sandwich. You can have the sandwich on either French bread or 9-grain wheat (getting 9-grain wheat on #1-6 will cost extra, but on #7-17 it's free). I prefer the wheat to the French bread, but you can do what you want. I'm not your mom. I was also pleasantly surprised with the price that I paid for it. $5.95 is quite the steal considering how much food you get. Well done, Jimmy John's! You've swayed the opinion of this stubborn man.

Country Club and a big pickle. Does it look like a GIANT CLUB SANDWICH?? No! But delicious.

While the flavor was good, the bread was stale and they didn't pay attention to the drink choice.

I ordered two medium drinks, a three-piece chicken strip meal, and an onion ring for my son. I had to repeat the order four to five times. Instead of clarifying, the evening manager came on the intercom and sarcastically asked if I wanted "eight drinks," which was not what I said. I went inside to calmly request the customer service number. The manager refused to provide it and threatened to call the police on me. When I explained that this was not appropriate treatment for a customer, he escalated further and said he would call Child Protective Services as well, all while speaking loudly in front of other employees. I then attempted to place my order at the front counter, and the manager instructed the employee not to take my order. He proceeded to call the police simply because I was trying to order food for my children. This situation was unnecessary, unprofessional, and deeply upsetting. I was not disruptive or threatening I just wanted to place an order. No customer, especially a parent with children, should be treated this way. I hope management addresses this behavior so other customers are not subjected to the same experience.

Conveniently located just south of NW 50th & Meridian in Oklahoma City P.S.: Get the grilled onions on EVERYTHING!

Bunny's Burgers - Back After 20 Years!…read more It's been two decades since I last ate at Bunny's, and walking back in brought a wave of nostalgia. I remember grabbing their famous onion burgers to-go back in the day--always left smelling like grilled onions (in the best way). The place is now under new ownership and has gotten a bit of a facelift. It's small and cozy with about 6 tables inside, 5 stools at the counter, and a few tables outside on the patio. We came between lunch and dinner, so it was quiet--perfect for checking out the updated menu. What I Ordered: Philly Cheesesteak - I came in wanting a burger, but the cheesesteak caught my eye. I'm a sucker for a good Philly. It came with Swiss (no Cheese Whiz), and while the flavor was solid, the bun fell apart halfway through. Hand-cut fries were okay--not really my style. I'd probably stick with a burger next time. What My Wife Had: Chili Cheeseburger with Raw Onions - Good flavor and a nice kick from the chili. The raw onions gave it that old-school Bunny's vibe. Overall: Glad we gave it another try, but next time, we're definitely going for the onion burger--that's what Bunny's is known for, and it's what we should've ordered. Still, it was great to revisit an old favorite with a fresh new feel. The service was great and our meal came out quickly. Unlike me that I didn't ask for our servers name. She did a great job!
