After my visit I can confirm: that's exactly right. Let's start with the good, because some of it is genuinely great. The space is clean and well maintained, with staff actively clearing and resetting tables at an impressive pace. For a fast casual concept, the fact that food is brought directly to your table is a thoughtful touch that elevates the experience above its category. And then there are the fries. My stomach is practically rumbling typing this. Freshly fried, crispy and golden on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and served piping hot. They're genuinely hard to compare to anything else -- unique enough to stand on their own. If Chicken Guy sold only fries, I'd be a loyal regular. The chicken, though -- the whole reason for the name -- left me with questions. Hot and fresh, absolutely. But the interior had a wateriness that crossed from "juicy" into something that actually diluted the flavor. Combined with a sweet and sour sauce so thin it refused to cling to the tenders, the whole thing fell a little flat. I found myself wondering whether the chicken had been moisture-injected, because it tasted more hydrated than flavorful. In the Orlando heat that might technically be a feature -- but a good tender should be able to stand on its own before the sauce ever enters the picture. Inside is definitely preferred in the Florida heat. There are two drink stations with fountain sodas you can refill, but it's just standard Coke products and not a Coke freestyle machine. We had one order of the grilled strips and one order of the crispy strips. We also had the french fries, and we tried the bourbon BBQ sauce and the seasonal "korean spicy" sauce. The chicken strips were good. The grilled strips were a bit on the dry side, but they were a lighter choice versus the crispy ones. I appreciate that they have the grilled option for a lighter option. The fries had a light seasoning on them and were fairly standard french fries. We had heard that the sauces are the highlight here, and they were - OK. The bourbon sauce definitely had a punch of bourbon flavor, and the korean sauce definitely had that unique spicy korean flavor. Tried it a random day at Disney Springs. The restaurant was a bit of a pain to navigate and the people at the register didn't really seem too keen on being there. The restaurant also wasn't that easy to navigate and no one was there to help you get around. The kiosks didn't really suit anything going on the menu so we were forced to use the people at the register. I ended up getting a Mac n cheese bowl that's pretty similar to what I would get at like slims chicken. The Mac was really over seasoned and the chicken was just ok. Finding a table is typically difficult so I would suggest for someone else save a table while you order. RESTAURANT: There are seating both inside and outside. You first wait outside to be let in and while you wait in under the sun, there is a menu stand so that you can make your selections. Once inside you line up and place your order on one end of the counter and wait until your order is called on the end or until it's delivered to your table using your number. There are several soda machines inside that allows the customer to serve themselves and free up the staff to focus on orders. There are two indoor restroom that are on theme. Relieved to see it pretty tidy in there. No overflowing trash cans nor paper product on the floor considering how busy this place it. SERVICE: The atmosphere here is always chaotic. But the service during this visit..let's just say I was pleasantly surprised. As I watched everyone move around, it was like witnessing a well oiled-machine. There's someone at the door handling the line, 3 people taking orders, an army of people assembling/cooking food, and another set of people out in the dining area delivering food, cleaning tables, cleaning the soda machine area. The person that took my order gave me suggestions and the gentleman insisted on cleaning the table first before we got the chance to jumped on it before someone else take it. I was very impressed. FOOD: This is not our first visit, but I have to say, this was the first time we took our time to eat. Everything was pretty delicious. We enjoyed the french fries very much. And last Bendelis, the strawberry milkshake. They said it's hand-spun and we truly enjoyed getting pieces of real strawberries. I just want to start by saying that I will never eat at Chicken Guy! again. On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, my girlfriend, my sister, her friend, and I went to Chicken Guy! for lunch. I had eaten there a couple times before while on vacation and loved it, so I was excited to take them there. Biggest mistake of my life. We ate around noon and ordered three chicken sandwiches and a chicken strip meal. The food tasted great, and everything seemed fine. We went about the rest of our day as normal. Around 6:00 PM, we went to a different restaurant for dinner. Almost immediately after eating dinner, all four of us started experiencing severe stomach pain on the drive home. As soon as we got back, we all began vomiting. From approximately 7:00 PM Tuesday until 4:00 AM Wednesday morning, all four of us were throwing up every 10 minutes and dealing with severe diarrhea. My girlfriend and I became so dehydrated that our hands and legs started going numb. My mother, who is a nurse, ended up taking all four of us to the hospital. We received IV fluids and medication, which finally stopped the vomiting. However, our stomachs are still not back to normal, and I'm writing this on Friday afternoon, June 12. Chicken Guy was definitively responsible for making us sick. The fact that all four of us became ill within minutes of each other, while my parents cared for us throughout the entire ordeal and never became sick themselves, is enough evidence for me to believe that the illness came from the meal we ate there. I understand that this may have been a fluke situation, but it still happened, and it was a nightmare. It ruined the remaining days of our vacation and resulted in unexpected medical expenses. I usually use one or two sauces when I eat chicken and fries so 22 was a bit of an overwhelming choice. The fries are really good here too. They are seasoned and they are delicious. I chose the Bourbon brown sugar chicken sandwich bc I like the flavor of Cole slaw with it. The other chicken sandwich we had was the pepperoni chicken parmesan sandwich. I knew this would be perfect for my hubby bc he loves chicken parm. Happy to say we each liked our chosen chicken sandwiches. If you don't like Cole slaw, maybe the bourbon chicken is not for you but to me it gave it more flavor and the chips made it extra crispy.
