The Chicken Shack (cue B52s) is a nice piece of chicken with lettuce, pickles and sauce. I did add a tomato and onions at no charge. That's a surprise when other places are charging for those add ons. The Cheese Fries (cue Primus) were good too. Freshly made which is always a plus. I've had their burgers before but I think the chicken is just a better value... and I do use the term value loosely. My meal (with a soda pop (cue Hanson)) was over $16 before tax and tip and the only upgrade was the cheese on the fries. Yeah, it's pricey, but it's also pretty good. The store is run pretty efficiently too with a person dedicated to delivering food to tables and keeping things neat and tidy. While wandering around the Florida Mall at lunchtime, I headed over to their food court area to find throngs of people crowded around every eatery and nary a table available. The area was so hot and stinky-sweaty I had to get out of there! Still hungry, I saw Shake Shack in a separate corridor and decided that was the place for me. I ordered at a kiosk. A Shackburger with fries and, because it was so hot and humid and my body was craving it, a gigantic bottle of water (rather than my usual milkshake). Do Floridians really get used to this heat and humidity? I took a seat in the dining area and my food was soon brought to my table. Both burger and fries were very good and I sucked down that entire bottle of water by the time I finished eating. The bun was just one top of a burger bun, folded in a way to make it look like a hot bun. Pleasantly surprised with how nice this tasted and will certainly be adding it to my shake shack repertoire. With the addition of the barbecue and cheese sauces that I had on the side, I managed to make this an even nicer option. So if you're looking for something at shake shack that isn't a burger and isn't the chicken, then look no further than the hot dog. Moving on to one of the new items on the menu, let's talk about the barbecue fries; Now I'm a big fan of the fries from shake shack anyway, I've always been about the crinkle cut, but with the barbecue seasoning on it, it knocked it up to another level. With the addition of the cheese sauce to dip it in on the side, this meant that my fries were not soggy and have the perfect amount of sauce per fry. I hope this item stays on the menu and is not just seasonal because this was a fantastic addition to my meal. He was quick getting orders out running the kitchen, talking to guest and helping us with a couple issues with our order and he made sure everything was right. Ordered a grilled cheese sandwich which originally totaled out to around $4.50 and paid an additional $3+ for added tomato and bacon. Took 40 minutes to receive my order, and had to wait by the counter to find it because they didn't bring it to the table number I put on the kiosk order. When opening my grilled cheese immediately noticed the cheese wasn't melted, and was slapped onto the bread. The sandwich itself was cold. Was already disappointed by the wait, but decided to ask if they could remake it. Took another 20 minutes just to get another grilled cheese, but instead plain. No tomato or bacon like I had paid extra for. Employee didn't seem to care or give notice to my reasonable concern and decided to walk away. I was at the Florida Mall and wanted something other then the typical "food court food", but not sit down so Shake Shack it was. I had only been to a Shake Shack once before in Austin and seeing as I couldn't remember if I liked it or not I wasn't sure what I was getting into. The employees at the counter were very friendly and helpful when I had questions regarding the menu. I ordered the smokeshack and a side of fries. You're asked if you'd like your burger medium or well done. I prefer medium rare so I went with medium. The burger was good, not great. I like my bacon crispy and it was anything but. The fries were nothing special. Just regular crinkle fries. There was an employee walking around the restaurant making sure every table was clean, but never restocked the ketchup containers even after I heard other customers complaining. This establishment was not memorable in Austin and isn't memorable in Orlando either. They offer the employee discount with a military ID. read more

Stopped in for a bite yesterday after some shopping. The restaurant wasn't very busy when I placed my order, but the food took a very long time. People who ordered after us were receiving their food so we went to go see what the hold up was, and they acted like we didn't even place an order. We luckily had the text confirmation and eventually got our food. I'm guessing it was a system error from ordering kiosk, but they didn't offer an apology or anything for the hassle. The Korean bbq burger had a very good flavor, the green onions really did set it off. The cheeseburger was good, just tasted like any other cheese burger. The cheese and bacon fries also were good but nothing crazy. The sunset lemonade was pretty good too, it's a strawberry lemonade. The noise level was moderate and they did have tvs on. I love the Shroom burger - it does not have meat on it, but I LOVE mushrooms so I get it is not a burger, but they stuff it with cheese and deep fry it. It is SO good. The Shake burger has meat and the mushroom, but that is too much food for me. The fries are always hot and fresh and I like that you can add cheese. Who can go wrong with cheese on the fries. I was *really* worried when I walked into this Shake Shack location in the Florida mall. A tour group must have just arrived because it had a HUGE line, tables www the full or trashed and it was SO loud! I got in line and remembered that they had online ordering so I downloaded the app, quickly ordered and I ended up getting my food before I would have even gotten to the register to order! The food was good as always although the fries portion seemed slightly smaller than I have gotten at other locations. I have this conflict with Shake Shack. I find their burgers really tasty and enjoy eating there. I just can't seem to justify the prices they charge for a meal. You see the menu and it does not hit you until you get your total and are like ..wait... there are only 2 of us. How did I just order $30 worth of food for 2 people? The milkshakes look awesome but I have never tried them. Mostly because I can't fathom paying $5.29 for a shake (that's 40 cents less than a cheeseburger) and if you want $3 fries. Yes it's tasty but $15.00 for a burger fries and a shake? Not outrageous but certainly not a bargain. No matter I do sometimes treat myself to a single cheese burger and you should try them though. You have to walk outside of the food court and turn left and follow some signs to find it. It wasn't too crowded on a Thursday afternoon. They also had a Game of Thrones special shake and limited edition cup when I was there. I ordered a beer and got that when I paid. The food came after, in a reasonable amount of time. I asked for a water cup but the cashier told me that it's by the water. That's really convenient. An employee came by when we were finished to get our trash. That was quite nice. My first Shake Shack Experience! I was so excited to try this place out after hearing so much about it! I decided to try out The Chick'n Shack Burger. Honestly, I wasn't too impressed with this burger, mainly because I wasn't a huge fan of the buttermilk herb mayo. I wish they used a thicker aioli type of sauce for this burger instead. I did get a chance to try their The 'Shroom Burger though, and was actually pretty tasty! I didn't realize until our meal was over, that they also have a second vegetarian Beat Burger that was wasn't listed on their menu. ( Definitely going to try that out next time! ) I've noticed that the actual burgers are a little on the small side. The food is pretty good but also very expensive. My husband and I both got a single patty burger, he got fries I got 6 piece nuggets and we got two drinks. Our total was $35 that's a little pricey. The service staff was excellent, pleasant, and thorough. The nuggets were teeeenie tiny, smaller than chil fil a with a similar flavor. They don't skimp on the dipping sauce though! The burgers looked wet through the paper sleeves. There were barely any veggies on the burgers. The lettuce and tomatoes covered just over half the burger. The chicken sandwich, on the other hand, was perfect. Crispy batter, tender, juicy, dry/soft bun. The crinkle cut fries were perfection too. The restaurant is spacious, beautiful with their standard decor and a lot of natural light. This location is extra fun with Foosball and shuffleboard tables. The staff was friendly and running around to keep the restaurant tidy. Hope they figure out the soggy bun situation. I would stick to the chicken sandwich in the meantime. read more

I was happy I could get wine, but as it burnt going down my throat I quickly regretted trying wine at a fast food joint. I definitely live on the right coast. Shake Shack is my burger of choice. You can't go wrong with a Shake Burger. The soft potato bun is amazing. The shake sauce is is something special. I like to get some on the side for fries as well! I love a beef patty cooked on a flat grill. Then top it with cheese, lettuce and tomato. I can't think of a better way to make a burger.
