As most McDonalds its food is consistent but in difference, it's much cleaner than most I've gone to with modern interior. Service is so slow. The workers here don't acknowledge you when you come in and i'm waiting at the counter without receiving any help. workers will fully see me but ignore me or pretend i am not there. there's a lot of chit chat in the back where i see workers just standing around and flirting instead of helping customers. read more

Came to this location at 10:58 a couple minutes before my daughters softball game at 11 am. Tried to order my kid a burger and fries to have something to eat before the game, and the female was so rude explaining loud that they don't serve lunch til 11! I'm sorry but I have been to several McDonald's that even 30 mins before breakfast ends i am able to place an order. I politely asked the female if it was possible and her reactions was beyond rude! Tried to give this location a 2nd chance after the softball game and I place a rather large order and the employee came out with a little bag that was filled with someone else's order. The curbside pick up at most locations is approximately 5-8 minutes: I watched several other customers get their orders well after I placed our curbside order. 20 minutes later we finally got our order and that pushed our travel time back causing us to miss out ferry time. Manager service is incredibly poor. Obviously a miserable person who isn't willing to be patient or kind when interacting with patrons. Got irritable with me for speaking up about being served, after waiting about 5-10 mins just to order drinks, meanwhile two of the front people were standing around waiting for the food to come in to bag after an initial rush. I was patient, understanding that rushes can be difficult to handle. However there's no reason to be rude to someone for speaking up once it's over and it feels like I'm being avoided. read more

We don't get why this McDonald's has only mediocre reviews. We always have the best experience when we have food here in Anacortes. This is the best McDonald's we have ever been to. We always come for breakfast when we are in town. The last few days we have been in Anacortes for a leisure trip, we always stop at this McDonald's location for breakfast. When we arrived every day, we saw somebody sweeping the parking lot, making sure it was spotless. We also came inside to eat, and the lobby was spotless with employees cleaning the glass entry doors and wiping down all the tables when we arrived. All of our food came out fresh and hot. We have never had such fresh and hot McDonald's food at any location ever. We ate in the lobby and we witnessed the employees having a great time working together in the background! We have never seen that at any McDonald's ever! They were working together and putting all the customers first. Please give your all your employees a bit of praise for us. Clean and updated McDonald's. Has self order kiosks, play center games for kids, and a variety of table for guests. The same orders and consistency of food quality and taste as other McDonald branches. The place is kept up well and felt very clean to eat in. Good management is evident at this branch. read more

Last evening after traveling all day with little food, and rushing to catch the last ferry to Guemes, we stopped at Mc Donalds. It was 10:20 PM. We got in the drive through line. Put in our order at 10:25. The line didn't move at all for ten minutes. They closed the line behind us as they were closing for the night??? At 10:45 we finally got to the payment window. We sat there and sat there. Finally it was 10:55 and we were still not at the front of the line. Never got our food. We had to ask the car in front of us to let us out so we could make the last ferry. Could have got faster service at a sit down restaurant. Been eating here for over 10 years, but never again. If I could give it zero stars I would because we weren't even allowed to order food. My family and I enjoy boating up to anacortes and did so this weekend. My kids like McDonald's and i thought it would be easy to grab them some nuggets and fries. Boy oh boy was I wrong! First the lobby is closed, on a Saturday at 7pm, the lobby is closed! What?! I had just seen a police officer in the store picking up a happy meal, not sure why they couldn't accommodate a family with small children just looking to grab some food. Second, I tried to use the app, log in to it, continued to get a bad URL that wouldn't confirm my email address so that was a fail, then tried to call the store and see if I can just order over the phone with her. When the lady answered she looked right over in our direction, was completely rude and told me that her registers didn't work (lie), I couldn't order with her over the phone (bs) and there was absolutely no other way I could order food with them. She could have rang us up through the drive through register just as they were for all the cars in line. They had 4 brightly lit up DIY order machines right there in their locked lobby not sure why those don't work. Either way, it was an awful experience and I can't believe there wasn't any work around. I work for a retail business and we go out of our way to save the customer and make it a great experience, this was the exact opposite. I choose McD's for tasty consistent food and service. Yesterday the Anacortes location missed on both. I had to go back to my car an get the phone used to place a mobile order before they could do anything! I had the " magic code" for the order but that wasn't enough. The order ahead function apparently was rolled out long before they worked out their issues with it. I have used it multiple times and it works only about 25% of the time...lost orders, missing food items, long waits are the norm. The manager gets very surly and defensive when errors are mentioned. Passive aggressive friendly is the norm. The biscuit had obviously been in the warming drawer for a long time...very tough and chewy. read more

Horrible employees extremely rude, I was with a friend and I was on my motorized bike in the drive thru since I forgot my lock for my motorized bike. The lady at the pay station was extremely disrespectful and rude and even lied to her co-workers about me and my friend, all we did was pay and when she said we could've went inside I shrugged and said sorry and my friend told her to have a nice day and then we heard her yell to her co-workers that we laughed at her which was completely untrue. She even got the manager to force us to go inside even though we were not bothering anyone and I had to stay outside with my motorized bike with a creep that was in the parking lot that made me feel extremely unsafe as my friend went inside to get the order and the whole ordeal was completely unnecessary and could've easily been avoided and I was also running late for something personal so it was a huge inconvenience for me and my friend and the fries were burnt. Went through the drive through because the mobile app wasn't working correctly. The girl taking orders was halfway through her second day so she had never had to deal with the app before but she wasn't phased by it!. She got ahold of her supervisor and they worked with me to fix the app on my phone. When that yielded no immediate positive results the manager immediately bypassed the issue for me and got me my food right away. They didn't let a technical issue bog me down when the usual fixes didn't immediately work. Many a cool spot having passed through the front windshield and side mirrors, when "fail safe" began evident....Mc D's would be the place to stop. Sadly my experience was typical McDonald's nightmare. It wasn't the fact that they got my order wrong by not adding bacon to the one item I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, it was not the fact that the Patty was broken up into pieces and fell apart when I tried to pick it up, it was not the fact did the cheese was thrown halfway off the burger to the side exposing the broken meat to fall right out of my burger as I tried to pick it up, it was not the fact this Sprite faucet leeks or rather sprays when you attempt to pour yourself a fountain drink.
