This McDonalds is the WORST in the valley. Which is surprising because it's located in Anthem. Every time I order a burger from here the patties are dry like they've been sitting for hours. Every time I order a large meal, they will provide me with a large drink but a medium fry and then tell me to pull around only to bring me a small fry because a medium fry plus a small fry equals a large fry. This is consistently the worst service and food quality. The drive through is so incompetent, even though the kids are friendly enough. The service is slow, the food luke warm, and most of the time the drink I get has little or no ice as if it has been sitting around. Corporate needs to come in and do an overall and assess what is going on here. The woman day manager does not know how to interact other than say,"MA'am, We are fixing it, what more do you want from me." Attitude? This was after the drink was wrong, I sat for 5 minutes at the front window, finally driving around to park and walk in. I have stopped in to this McDonalds many times as a resident of Anthem for 12 years. I do realize that this is a fast food facility and do not expect other standards. I, many months ago, asked if they give Veterans discounts and was told "yes" and given a discount. At times when I have stopped in the clerk did not know and asked the supervisor, if he or she was not sure, and was given a discount by the supervisor. Today I was in and the clerk was very condescending and said they do not honor Veterans. The "manager", Scott, was asked to the register. I explained that I have received this discount many times here. He essentially told me that I was lying. I am 71 years old and consider myself intelligent and an understanding woman. If I had been told "no" from the first time I would have never asked again. Also, one night that I was there the "supervisor", Michelle or Melissa" was stuffing french fries into her mouth, while serving food orders and was extremely condescending to the young staff in front of customers and said "I can't do the food and the front register at the same time." Brand new remodel in the last few months. Now kiosks take most orders. Nice decor and design. Food was good and hot. That's the good. The rest: dirty. Dirty everywhere. McDonald's is a all time classic fast food joint, the one here in Anthem is just to be expected like any other fast food joint here in Anthem. This particular location is one of the nicer McDonald's you might see, having a inside kids play area, and a modern updated interior. When it comes to ways you can place an order, there are plenty of options, from curbside pickup to drive through, and even electronic menus you can order from once you get inside. You can even place an order on your phone, they make getting your meal here extremely easy and the food and service here is good. I again have never encountered any problems with my orders here even with special requests, the only downside is that this place always seems to be somewhat packed, having consistent customers come around every time of the day to get something to eat. However the staff here is ready to face the fact that there will be plenty of customers coming through daily, and because of that they do an excellent job getting your meal ready and out to you in a matter of no time. This establishment is one you can count on to get your meal to you without any trouble. By far one of the better fast food joints here in Anthem. read more

Amazing customer service! We had my daughter's second birthday here. They had everything taken care of, the play place was clean, and the employees were super accommodating. I am not a person that normally writes a review about a fast food restaurant. With that said, I would like to compliment a young man named TJ that works at McDonalds in Anthem, AZ. He may be a manager or assistant manager but either way he is an excellent example of what a representative of a business should be. We had an order mishap and didn't realize until we got home and we live about 10 miles away. I called the store and explained I wouldn't be coming back that evening but that a fairly expensive portion of the order had been overlooked. Well, TJ immediately gave me his name and his schedule and said to come in anytime for the food and apologized even though it was not his error. I went back the next evening and met TJ. He filled the order and even threw in a little extra for my trouble. It wasn't just the fact that my order was corrected, it was the great service and personality of TJ that made me take the time to sit down and write this post. Talk about terrible customer service! Granted it's lunchtime and I'm sure the staff is busy but I went through the drive-through to simply get a chicken sandwich and the person taking my order was extremely rude while taking my order. Turns out it was a manager with the worst attitude I've ever seen. When I got up to the window after paying to collect my food I realized that I was out of water and since this is Arizona and it's 110° out, I asked if I could have a large water in which she replied with a very snooty attitude that I would have to pay full price for a large drink. I had no problem with that! I looked for change as I didn't have any cash and when I was $.12 short I decided to give her my credit card. Her response was to roll her eyes and huff and then say I have to go all the way back there to ring this up. When she came back I said I hope you have a better day and she said oh I'm having a fantastic day again with the same attitude from the very beginning. Let's face it. The food is not very good. We go there because it's an occasional treat for the kids. I would be happy if all the McDonalds fell off the face of the earth. The Anthem McDonald's is a joke. The people that work there seem like they are completely incapable of following simple tasks. Simple tasks would be the following: filling orders correctly, giving correct change, refilling ice-tea when both dispensers are empty, not turning you back on paying customers to give free food to relatives. I highly recommend not going to this McDonalds. About 3/4 of the time I go here, my order is messed up in some way. If you ask for a diet coke, they could give you a regular coke. This place should be bulldozed and flattened to to the ground. I went for evening decaf coffee because my coffee pot died. Thirty three minutes later and still no one knew how to brew Decaf coffee. I almost asked if I could do it for them. The manager on duty was busy mopping floors and wouldn't assist her employees. Right people on duty front and back. Most messing around especially with friends in dining area giving them free food and talking. My mission was to give them zero stars but I couldn't because I would not be able to give this review. I finally got my coffee but wrong. I asked for creamers on the side, they put milk in all of my coffees. I asked for 4 large cups. Manager could care less and said "sorry guys" to me and my husband. I then asked for a refund and she said come back tomorrow. Incompetence reeks in this place. I hope my review deters anyone from remotely considering eating here. The owner needs to overhaul his staff hire, new blood, train his people appropriately with proper people skills or just completely shut it down and walk away. read more

I visited your restaurant yesterday at 9 AM and tried to order a egg sausage McMuffin. I was told you were out of round eggs. I can not imagine McDonalds being out of eggs for egg McMuffins. Called to give feedback regarding an odd looking sign in their dining area. The manager was rude, condescending and abrupt.
