For what would be my last meal in the area, I was tired of trying to find a place open during the offseason. I didn't want to go up into Rehoboth Beach either so I came this direction in an attempt to find something fast. With those limitations in effect, that leaves not much option wise. After driving for a while I remembered there was this. So to make it easier on myself, I ordered ahead on the app. It made it so much easier on myself and I could just use the drive thru. Getting here is actually one of the easiest visits I have had. Even with it being off of a busy road, it was quite easy to get into the lot. Pulled up to the drive thru kiosk, gave them my code and pulled around. It didn't take long, but it was the quickest either for me to have my food and drink in hand. Before pulling away, I did a quick check of the bag and all items were accounted for. The food was what you would expect. However, the fries felt like they were sitting there for a bit longer than they should have been. They weren't horrible, but they were obviously not fresh either. read more

Should be no stars! Waited over 35 minutes for food. Employees were rude and even heard one cursing..."F-Bomb!" Trust me it would be worth driving down the road to the next McDonalds! Oh..And one customer questioned the manager why his order took so long and asked why it was wrong. Manager lied and said she just got here and she didn't handle his order. Pretty sure managers job is to control the chaos behind the counter instead of talking back to customers. Take some responsibility instead of making excuses. read more

Went there order 2 hamburgers and fries, Ordered and paid .50 for two sauces, was asked to pull up to flag pole. Wait 3 minutes, drive home and no sauce. This is just pure non give a crap service. It's 50 cents! No biggie and normaly wouldn't bother me, but after realizing spending $ 24.00 on burgers and fries they are charging 5 star prices and not a 1 star service. Unacceptable for them to not pay attention to basic order. Tried to call and it rings 3 times to a busy signal. Look I know it's only 50 cents, it's the point people accept it and the prices keep going up and service goes down. Tried calling atleast 20 times and no answer. Enough is enough. If you like extra protein, the fruit flies were swarming around the self serve drink dispenser on Wednesday evening around 7 on 9/11, beginning of OC Bike Week.....too many to swat away. I talked to the manager and she said the flies are attracted to it. I felt the entire guest area was dirty, tables not wiped down, and no way we were drinking sodas laced with bug feces. The manager poured a container of water over the soda spouts but to no avail (and not really concerned about the issue).....we had ordered and the food was warm but not hot nor fresh. We pitched it in the trash as I am sure the cooking area was fruit fly inhabited too. I haven't been to ANY other restaurants recently infested. Beware! If I could rate a zero I would. Not the first time we have experienced substandard McDonalds issues at this location. We tried again hoping it would have improved but never expected bugs..... read more

food was very good as normal from here service was excellent the man in charge was very good and helpful and a natural leader however on my McCrispy there was two depressing looking pickles in it and was very sad looking the restaurant was alright you don't walk into a mcdonald's looking for a 5 start environment but for a mcdonald's very clean and nice. read more

Manager spent her entire time taking orders and working the drive-through instead of training the new Asian gentleman who was obviously hired for the summer. She spent her time talking about KFC and Taco Bell, and about her migraine. She complained about the people in the drive-through not knowing their order before they got to the kiosk. At this McDonald's, it is not 24hr service which is usually a defining trait of fast food establishments! However, not being open all day and night added a sense of pride in the customers here from the staff which made me feel very comforted! I tend to ignore fast food in the first place because of workers sometimes not necessarily caring for the meals they are serving, but in Bethany Beach they go above and beyond to make sure the needs of the customer are met! read more

Good if the inside is open. I like to order on the kiosks inside but one doesn't really work sometimes, which is kind of a pain when you're trying to use app codes, because it'll let you log in then it won't let you do anything else (but then you have to wait for it to time out so you can log in on the other one). Whenever I order in the drive through there's some sort of issue with the app codes, so that's why I like to go inside. Most of the people working there are very nice. It's your basic McDonalds, you know what you're coming in for and you know what you're going to get. The bathrooms are average. Food has always been good and hot. I wish they'd fix the kiosk, though, because it's been weird for months now and if it's not fixed by summertime it'll probably cause some issues with waiting and all that. It's not a huge deal in the off-season, though. read more

Rude service, place is understaffed. I ordered via my mobile app, for table service #22, my order #1627 5/18/2023 @ 08:37 a.m. (2 big breakfast, 2 coffee) - not a diffcult order right?? Go inside sit and wait, and wait, and wait. finally go to counter to ask about my order, IT IS NOT ON THE PENDING ORDER BOARD, and wait, and wait, and wait. Jenn ( I asked for servers name, and she was proud to give me it) was busy taking orders at the register, speaking into her headset taking drive thru orders, etc.....feeling a bit ignored, i simply held my phone up to show her my mobile app order to see if I could get an idea of when I might get my FOOD............"DON'T STICK YOUR PHONE IN MY FACE, I'M BUSY HERE" in front of the other customers in line waiting to order...I said i did NOT stick my phone in your face, just held it up so you could see my order, and understand i was looking for some simple question. Not ordering, not nothing..............MY NAME IS JENN, is what she proudly said, when i asked for her name so I could COMPLAIN!! I'm here 3:35 pm on may 7th. The person taking orders at the drive thru was talking in a weird/mocking tone that made it seem like they hated me (the customer). I've never seen that before so I thought it was odd.... Then a heavy set black employee who brought the food out to me said he would get me a sweet and sour sauce and then never came out, I'm pretty sure on purpose for some kind of retaliation for some made up/perceived slight. I usually like this McDonalds, but yesterday I used the mobile App and when I went to pick up the food they said that my card declined. I checked my bank record and it was a pending charge. They refused to give me the food I paid for so I had to try and use another card. That declined as well so the problem was they're pay system. Eventually they gave the food but by the time I got it home it was cold and they forgot an entire meal. Get your act together !!!! read more

My family and I waited on the drive thru line on a Saturday night a little after 8:30 pm and waited for 45 minutes before we made it to the front of the line to order. At the order window we waited another 10 minutes. We were the 4th car when we got there and every car waited just as long. Cars in front of us and behind us left due to the wait including one yelling "this isn't fast food" as he drove by. When we got to the window we noticed there were quite a few workers inside. Each time I come to this McDonalds, they have entirely new staff. Not sure why they can't keep their staff. Today I was served by a heavy set African-African woman who seemed racist towards me because I'm white. She didn't even acknowledge me, to say hello, but just glared at me with incredible hatred as if she wanted to punch me. I was friendly to her but got horrible attitude in return. The African-American male who gave me my order just shoved it at me, with his back to me and his arm extended in my direction. This McDonalds is definitely one of the nicest ones I've ever been to. The dining room and outside is always spotless, the staff is efficient and friendly and the food is always fresh and hot. My grandfather used to take my grandmother to their local McDonalds every single day so it brings back sweet memories to see all the senior citizens that hang out here in the mornings. Pay no mind to the whiners who gave a bad review because they didn't like their wifi or because the place was closed when they stopped by, gotta love the sense of entitlement that seems to run rampant these days. read more

Got up super early this morning and wanted breakfast. McDonalds would be the only option at 5 am in Bethany. The hours on google said they opened at 5. So I drove down and found that they weren't open yet. Even the official website says this location opens at 5. I know that Bethany becomes a sleepy town after summer and I doubt anyone is wanting breakfast at 5 am, but at least have accurate hours! read more

Ok, I came here for the free WiFi. THREE HOURS later I am still waiting for my last file to be sent. Oh, Why doesn't Bethany Beach get public WiFi? I'll PAY!! The WiFi here must be a special version of 1964 WiFi, if that's possible. So while I am staring at my screen, I see 2 employees on break giggling loudly and expressing amazement over the adult content they can get on their phones. They shout at the people still working, who tell them to "Shut Up!" One woman employee runs to the bathroom with her hand over her mouth, seemingly the victim of a food-related practical joke. Between the possibility there that I don't want to think about, and the awful WiFi, there is no reason to come here. Except the fries smell awesome. read more

Came here for breakfast and was not disappointed. They inside was very clean and new. The service was fast and the food was as good as it's going to get. I recommend the sausage, egg, and cheese Mcgriddle, which is filling, and seems to be the most appetizing item on the breakfast menu. read more

Probably the worst meal I've ever eaten at a McDonald's. 1pm in the afternoon French fries were stone cold, 2 mcribs with almost no sauce and cold as well. Had to wait for 2nd Mcrib to be cooked which should up 15 minutes later, strangely stone cold as well. Just disappointed, lunch time you expect the food to be at least warm. read more

Went through drive through Sunday August 16 approx. 6pm. Asked for salt and pepper while I was waiting for my food. I did receive the salt and pepper after I was scolded severely for not having asked for it when I placed my order.
