    Big Mac?

I rarely eat McDonald's , but had a craving for a Big Mac. This thing they sold me doesn't resemble any Big Mac I've ever seen. We all remember "2 all beef Pattie's, special sauce, blah blah blah ". Only recognized the two Pattie's and the sesame seed bun

Never had an issue with the food but I do have an issue with the way this place is run. I work nights and occasionally hit up McDonald's for a quick lunch. Out of the 5 or so times I've come here, 4 times they are "cash only" because their computers are down. It's a serious pain in the butt and quite unprofessional for a McDonald's. I guess that's why the line at CookOut is always 5 times the size. Also, my average wait time for the drive through is at least 12-15 minutes. Ugh Today's service took 30+ minutes which gave me plenty of time to write this review while I waited.

No more hrs, cuz they don't know when they'll be open

Did we miss the giant sign above the counter explaining it? Yes we did! Luckily, a sweet employee saw our confusion and brought us menus and took our order. We'll know next time to just order at the kiosk. I got the Original Shack Burger, my husband got the Cheeseburger and my FIL got the Local burger. We shared the loaded Comeback fries. Husband got the limeade, I got lemonade, and FIL got Strawberry Lemonade. We all loved everything so much. You can really taste the freshness of the burgers here. My burger was so juicy! I loved the bun and the toppings were just right. Our loaded fries were delicious. I'd definitely order them again. The inside dining area isn't huge but they have a lot of outdoor and patio seating. It was a nice enough day today where these outdoor areas were pretty full. We were there on a Friday between lunch and dinner in the middle of June. While we sat we watched the dining room fill up and the drive thru get busy. By the time we left about 4pm there was a wait for a table.

You can order from a kiosk, the QR code at your table or Allison can help you. I had a bacon cheeseburger and my guys had burgers with seasoned fries. The food arrived very quickly and was cooked to perfection. Be warned: the seasoned fries are VERY seasoned fries. I snuck a few of my hubby's to taste but I'm sure I wouldn't have been able to eat an entire order of my own. I wish I had room for a shake because they looked incredible. Maybe next time!

It might have just been the holiday rush, but I always figure "busy means good," so my expectations were high--and The Local didn't disappoint. We started with the nachos; they were delicious, though I do wish they came with a bit more meat. For mains, the burger was outstanding--probably one of the best we've had in the entire area. We also ordered the Brazilian steak, which was cooked perfectly and came with great plantains. The quinoa with tofu was good, too, though it was a little dry and would have been perfect with a sauce. The service really stood out. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and refilled my water at least four times without me asking. Great ambiance and an all-around good experience. Definitely worth the wait!

But I wiggled my vehicle into a tight spot and went in for a burger and a beer. I believe there were about 10 to 12 options available on tap, and I went with what was listed as an Irish stout from somewhere in the Northeast. It wasn't bad, though it seemed more like an imperial stout. My sandwich choice was the Cowboy, with ground elk at its core. It was a good choice too, and the accompanying fried onions and melted cheese complemented the meat well. I ordered the burger medium, but I think I'd go for medium rare if I could go back in time. The medium option wasn't bad, but I think a little less heat and a little more moisture would only make things better. I kept things simple with the side item, going for the fries which were of the thinly sliced McDonald's variety, not bad but nothing remarkable. The server covering my table was pleasant and prompt, though soft spoken so I occasionally had to ask her to repeat herself amidst the music and noise. I wouldn't call any of these selections a bargain, but the prices didn't veer too far from what you'll find in many burger joints. All in all, not an earthshaking experience, but a place I'd be willing to go back to. 3.5 stars.

I ordered a burger, fries, and a drink and the total came up like I'd also accidentally purchased the building. A regular fry shows up in a cup and a bag because they give you roughly a bushel of potatoes -- which is great, except I'm pretty sure I'm paying per potato. I always walk out happy and then immediately do quiet math in the parking lot wondering what just happened to my paycheck. Worth it once in a while. Just don't make eye contact with the total.

It's a nice break away from all of the local options (don't get me wrong... those are amazing for sure). But if you just want a regular burger with a variety of toppings, you want some good fries - especially the Cajun fries, and you want reliable and quick service and this is the place to come. Pretty much the only drawback is it can be kind of hard to turn into the parking lot and parking seems tight. But this is more about the location less about the place itself. I've never had anything but quick and good service here over the years. And props to them for being open on Fourth of July!
