McDonald's has respectable burgers for their category. There are so many places where 11 tater-tots cost $24.95, yet they don't season the meat! Don't hate on Mickey D's! That said, while the meat was properly seasoned, my experience here was less-than-stellar. This is to do with the Drive-Through. First, the line of cars moved rather slowly. Considering it took less than 15 seconds for them to take my card, and then hand me a sandwich when I pulled up, I found this strange. Second is the ordering process itself. For lack of a better phrase, I had to give some of the prompts myself. For example, after I ordered the burger, there was no "anything else I can get for you?" I had to say "that's all, thank you" before being asked to move forward. The quarter-pounder with cheese deluxe itself was perfectly fine. It was just a tad messy, but considering it spent some time in a bag and car ride, I am willing to let this slide. Thus, while not assembled with a high level of precision, it is acceptable for McD's. As for slightly longer than usual wait, if you're not in a hurry it's not the end of the world. read more

Obviously, McDonald's is a pretty common place to be, and their food is the same everywhere; however, I am not writing about the food. There have been multiple occurences , both in the restaurant and in the drive thru, where the service isn't it's best. Obviously, everyone's different, and a lot of workers there are kind or are quiet and mind their business, which I don't mind, but when there is a bad experience, you don't forget it. I have 2 stories, both recent. The first one happened around 30 minutes ago. I was with a few friends sitting at the big table in the back, minding our business, when all of a sudden, my friend accidentally knocks over his drink, so a couple of us go over and ask for some paper towels. After struggling to clean it up for around 10 minutes, a man who I assume was the manager because of how often I've seen him, comes over and tells us we have to go because "It's been 30 minutes." For starters, when did we ever get a 30 minute warning? There were a couple other people around our age in the store, so it is understandable to get some of us confused, no one's perfect. One of my friends replied, "No it's okay we can clean it up!" We are not bad kids at ALL, and the stereotype that every teenager is a bad person is actually hurtful to people like us. So we start to pick our stuff up, and another one of my friends, (the one who spilled the drink) tried explain to him what happened and why we shouldn't be kicked out. The manager immediately started mocking him and trying to make him sound like an idiot, here is what I remember from this encounter: "No, sir, you see what happened was-" "Ah, yes, because it just magically fell over on it's own?" "No, that isn't close. I accidentally bumped into it and it fell over." "Stop lying to adults!" After struggling with this man for a little bit, my friend stormed out of the building. I saw this and tried to leave giving a good impression, though it seem impossible because this man seemed like the DEFINITION of impossible. I left saying, "I'm sorry for him, he gets pretty passionate when he knows he's right." I acknowledge that what I said was passive aggressive, but he WAS right! After I said this, the man responded: "Well because of your friend, none of you are allowed in here as long as I'm here!" Look, I get it's annoying to clean up a mess, but when the kids that did it are OFFERING to clean it up and you are just being RUDE? That just isn't okay. My second story happened in December. I was with my Grandfather, 75 and hard of hearing. We wanted a quick lunch before we went to his house, and we live near this McDonalds, so we decided that this could be a good place to stop by. Though this was just a drive through, our drive thru servicewoman's mood was shown through the speaker. She was very unenergetic at first, which I get, but every time my grandfather asked her to repeat something she slowly got more mad. I get being annoyed, I would be too, but you don't have to show it, especially to an old person who you should RESPECT. This lady was just so rude and impatient. Overall, the atmosphere is very beautiful and modern, though I miss the old model, and the food is average and usually warm, the service is rude, impatient, ignorant, etc. read more

This morning I went and was very dissatisfied. I've been going to this location since 2016...never an issue. Order steak egg McMuffin. Cashier typed Steak bagel "sub muffin". So I got the folded egg. I was previously told years ago when you order a "McMuffin" you automatically will get the round egg. When I told the cashier it was wrong, she got an attitude and walked away. The kid making drink asked me whats wrong, I told him but asked for the manager...I wanted 3-5 minutes for the manager to come to tell me that they don't have a button for "Steak egg cheese McMuffin" and I have to tell the cashier I want the "round". I said okay please make sandwich with round egg. I get to work and the steak is OVERCOOKED, dry, burnt. Coffee is horrible. The staff previously had always been black & white workers and today it is ALL SPANISH workers at this location. I repeatedly did tell the manager the casher was very rude and had an attitude. Very rude customer service. Called me and my friends multiple cuss words and their food is always room temperature or cold. The kitchen is visibly dirty. It's honestly disgusting. They never taught them how to steam a bun. The bun of the fish filet is supposed to be steamed (this idea was literally integrated into the marketing and on the box that it's served in), yet the geniuses at the Braintree McDonald's aren't capable of doing so. The construction was impeccable, each layer distinct even while the flavours meld together in a glorious ode to fast food, coming close to the advertised photographic perfection that we oft lament is lacking in our late night ventures. Dropped in for a quick lunch here the other day. Large parking lot. Bathrooms were clean. Staff were very friendly and quick. I ordered a lobster roll and was pleasantly surprised. It was fresh and full of tasty lobster. I have paid more than double at other places for rolls that haven't been as good. All the medium drinks were only $1. No wonder why their rating is so bad. Yesterday evening I went there around 5pm, I walked in and there was only one customer inside and as soon as I walked in she got her food and left, so now I was the only one person, and there were 2 or 3 car in the driveway. I ordered my food and told the girl who was a new employee still in training probably but out of 10 other employees who were there were more busy chatting about other things and did not care what was going on. I told the girl please go the the window and tell them I want fresh nuggets and fresh fish o fillet, and I also told her that I know I have to wait for 5 minutes because it takes time to make fresh. They were absolutely not busy. Anyways the girl turned around told the manager that I want fresh, I saw her talking the the guys in the kitchen and despite of all this, they pulled out the stupid nuggets sitting there for long time and the fish sandwich and gave it to me in less than a minute so I told the other manager that this is not fresh because you gave it to me in one minute, and then she is asking me did you ask for fresh, and I said to her I told 3 different people, she said okay hold on, did not even apologize because they are all youngsters and gave me the new order. She also gave me the other order as well, from where I tried one nugget literally tasted like hard cold rubber. This is not the first time this place has done this, and I'm totally shocked and surprised that the owners and the management doesn't do anything about this, because fast food is good business and many people don't read reviews before they go to eat food, but I think that this place should be also inspected by the health department and the franchise should do something about this. As I walked in, a woman behind the counter was openly and loudly arguing with another member of the staff for all customers to hear. this lasted a few minutes. It appears as if she is a manager? After i got my order, she engaged in another loud angry argument with a different employee and they went back and forth for minutes in clear view and earshot of all the customers. Who wants to eat in this atmosphere?? This woman has no issue brazenly berating her staff in front of customers. Morale in the location must be awful, low morale often means people aren't doing their best and I don't want to eat food prepared anywhere where I don't have confidence in the quality or effort. Twice in past month, at the Braintree McDonalds drive through, I have waited patiently in line for my food only to be told at the last second when payment is due that key items were not available today. In one case it was shakes on a hot day. In one case it was all soft drinks. Needless to say, shakes and soft drinks are not exotic or unusual items at McDonald's. At this McDonald's, there seem to often be different or new people serving. Clearly the management and staff are unstable. Food is only so-so. There are better options. In both of the above instances, I politely discussed with the person at the payment window that it might be nice to post a sign somewhere earlier in the process, to alert consumers of the fact that certain key items on the menu were not available, as it is disappointing to have every reason to believe these items would be delivered only to be told at the last second after waiting a long line that they are not--only at a late point in the process when the consumer does not necessarily have any more time for lunch-after all this is fast food. The response from the employees was to either shrug, or say oh sorry. Not "I'll talk to my manager. Not "yes you're right that is frustrating" not "we could think about that," just "oh well." Total lack of any interest in the consumer's well-being. read more

I gave two stars b/c of convenience. Most of the staffs, especially the managers, that works there are not motivated. They don't seem to want to take your orders or even be there. Those that seem motivated are goofing around which one time I saw one trip over a rug and sprain her ankle. Majority of the time they will mess up on the orders. The drive through is the worst. Yesterday, the kids really wanted McDonald's. So we went through the drive thru. Ordered 4 hamburgers, 2 medium fries, 20 nuggets with honey mustard and sweet & sour sauce, and 4 fish sandwiches. Came home and opened the bags. 4 fish sandwiches, 2 hamburgers, the nuggets with habanero ranch sauce, and 2 half filled medium fries. How can they mess up an order? Stick to the drive-thru. I got better service in the drive-thru, about as good as you'd expect for a McDonald's. Perhaps I'm not up-to-date with McDonald's but when I ordered an iced vanilla coffee inside the store I was given an empty cup and I had to make my own iced coffee which was...interesting. It can be good if you're planning on staying and getting free coffee refills but it's a pain to make the coffee when I'm there for convenience. read more

Terrible service and the manager should be ashamed of himself. Sunday 4:30 pm, I'm going into the drive thru to pick up food for my family. I have my 5 year old with me who is ready to meltdown because he is hungry. The girl at the drive-thru who was very nice has a very bad habit of asking me on every single item that I order "Will that be all? Will this complete your order?" Literally after every item without pausing making me feel rushed. So I order and pay the second I drive up to the second window I realize I didn't order the 4 chicken nuggets from the dollar menu. WAIT FOR IT... I offer the kid exact change to add the chicken nuggets to my order comes back a minute later.. says My manager says NO... we are too busy. REALLY? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I'm going to come home with food for everyone except my daughter? I kid you not this happened. So now I have to pull into a parking spot, leave my son in the car with 30 bucks worth of food to go stand in line with 1 register open. I asked for the manager and tell him was this necessary. Anybody with even 1/2 a brain can see how annoyed I am at this point that I would have thrown the chicken nuggets at me for free just to get rid of me. WITHOUT EVEN AN APOLOGY he just says yeah..we are busy, can't do it as he then proceeds to talk with his lackey about the patriots game and makes me wait another 15 mins. Needless to say, I got home 30 mins later with food cold and now the whole entire family disappointed. So John, I hope your reading this because it wasn't bad enough that you did this but what prompted this review is your ATTITUDE. You could not have cared any less about me with your smug look on your face and complete disregard for me and my family. Maybe one day you'll have a family and might "GET IT" If it wasn't for the fact , that I had my son in car. I would have put the car in park and waited until I get my chicken nuggets.
