There's a reason we keep coming back - the food and service. The ambiance is ok. Basic tables and chairs and some "circus" type of decorations on the wall. They have a pretty consistent menu that really hasn't changed, at least not that I have noticed. They have "signature" sandwiches or you can build your own. They have hot and cold deli sandwiches available. They also have wedge fries that are oven baked. Family favorites; Sonny's Supreme and the classic italian. I also also love their breakfast sandwich options. They have a cooler of beverages. My favorite is Fresca. A soda I never have at home and I soda I always buy when I can at a deli. Pairs perfectly. Don't sleep on the sweets for sale by the register. The cookies and whoopie pies are usally tasty. The staff seems consistent - hardworking, customer service oriented and nice to interact with. They keep the simple dining area as clean as they are able - during the lunch hours during the week - this place is always packed!!! Wow...it's great to see and hope this means this buiness will stay around for years to come. Parking - many parking options within .5 mile from the location. Our waitress (and it kills me that I can't remember her name) was fantastic. She recognized the urgency of our situation and worked at lightning speed to get us our meal and then followed up with us numerous times as we moved to the bowling event. She was absolutely perfect! The food was excellent. Bowling was a blast..... candle pin bowling is so much more difficult than it looks, though! About half way through our game, our lane experienced a fatal mechanical problem. This bowling alley is an historic gem and the machinery that runs the lanes is definitely "old school". Ownership was very accommodating and gave us a gift certificate to come back and bowl again another time. It is also great if you biked or walked to the location, there is a place for you to sit. The area is pretty well manicured and pretty clean. There isn't a lot of shade in the area, so something to consider during the warm summer months. Great place to stop for a quick tasty treat while in Topsham. Just checking because it's a long drive back if not". His reply: "You got it all sir. Thanks and have a great night". So off we drove home to enjoy a take-out dinner from Wendy's. Wouldn't you know when we got home, the two large burgers were missing!! Grrrr, a couple of unhappy guys went without while the women and kids did get theirs. Lesson learned, ALWAYS check the food against the receipt. So I called, asked for the manager and without anger explained the scenario that had played out only 30 minutes or so earlier. After listening he offered to send a coupon for two burgers. That's coupons for the two burgers that I payed-for and didn't get. As in most cases, fair exchange is no bargain, and this neither a bargain nor recompense for the inconvenience afforded me and my family. Certainly not even close to the aggravation of driving 14 miles round-trip. So I declined and said I would be in in-person to discuss next trip to the TFM rather than having them mail the coupons and perhaps get a more fair settlement. Yea, it's a small battle and hardly worth it, but I'll challenge the offer. I'm not asking for the world, but not settling for a poor compromise, nor compromising on and offer for a poor settlement.
