We got lucky and were the last people seated here for dinner on the evening we arrived. Service was friendly and the steamed lobster was delicious. I chose to get a lobster BLT wrap with beans and Cole slaw and we got a hot dog for my daughter who loved it. Cameron's is the place to go that's not a tourist spot if you're in midcoast Maine. The seafood dishes are great, service is fast, and you can't beat the reasonable prices. I've had the pint of fried oysters, scallops, and clams; all are perfectly fried and not heavy on the breading. And it's literally $10-15 less compared to touristy areas in Portland, Rockland, Bar Harbor, and Boothbay. I had the lobster stew, it was watered down broth with a few chunks of lobster in it. We did take out so I didn't realize how bad it was until we got home. It was served with a biscuit and the biscuit was very good. But I spent $30 between a cup of the lobster stew and some crab meat without a bun, totally overpriced and not worth it then my friend got chicken tender basket with double sweet potato fries. It was barely one portion of sweet potato fries, let alone too, and they only gave her three chicken tenders. For $15 disgustingly overpriced for minimal amount of food. The haddock was so amazing, we had to order an additional piece. The clams were fantastic and the scallops so sweet. Coming from Houston, TX we get gulf shrimp all the time.
