Cameron's is the place to go that's not a tourist spot if you're in midcoast Maine. The seafood dishes are great, service is fast, and you can't beat the reasonable prices. I've had the pint of fried oysters, scallops, and clams; all are perfectly fried and not heavy on the breading. And it's literally $10-15 less compared to touristy areas in Portland, Rockland, Bar Harbor, and Boothbay. The lobster dishes might be a little more compared to Boothbay Lobster Wharf, but if you're craving fresh, fried seafood, this is the place to go. Service is friendly and fast.

Ok, perhaps less meat on my lobster roll than I expected but it is what you pay for and the prices were cheaper than the average. I thought staff was pleasant. The place is low key. Nothing wrong with it.

Ive lived in and around Brunswick my whole life, typically it was always the other drive in place I would go to, until I gave Cameron's a shot again, and it did not disappoint. So much so that every time I'm looking for a nostalgic drive in fried food lunch, I always go here. Service is always quick. Food is always great. Will definitely be back again and again

Lights on for service...if you're participating in the drive-in experience

Such a cute idea - a throwback if you will but I think this place has been here long enough that everything is original! You pull in and within minutes you're greeted by a server - no rollerskates - but still quick service!!! I absolutely love this experience, it felt like traveling back in time!!! And the food is yummy!! We ordered the lobster BLT and it comes with BIG pieces of lobster!!! For $3.50 more, you can make it a basket which comes with two sides. The fries are tasty but definitely need salt! Overall, I would come back, it was a lot of fun!!!

When the menu says MUST TRY, you must try! The lobster BLT was seriously one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. I would say service was efficient, "just enough". I was a solo diner so didn't need much. It was a beautiful day so I appreciated the outdoor patio.

Tuna melt !!!!! With sweet potato fries. What a delicious indulgent treat!

Service was good but the food was so so and overpriced. I wouldn't go back. Place looks like a diner inside mobile home.

I'm transported into a vortex of restaurant going people stuffing crustations down their grills snug in their catacomb tables, lending me to the unproven knowledge to this toil - or so it seems, that when we all eat, we might be missing a lot of what's happened to bring this meal to you. We foodies seem to always get our way - in the federal penitentiary, you never get your way, you NEVER get your (Fing) way - so please, understand that eighty five percent of the world would kill for our problems. . The frenzy and attention to the meal without the background, I think about and behaviors aren't quite unlike the gulls in the big box store lots atop the light posts, what the people do here with their face gullets plunging down and their feeding frenzies of cheap one liners. The gulls are missing their experiences because they're no longer down by the dock, they're inland - they're in St. Louis. I know first hand because I driven (not flown over or into) The Gateway to the West, I'm seeing these large birds all the time - they're are all around - I'm on their turf and we both know it. Fortunately, I've not had to throw hands with a hungry goose over an lost and unlucky little bagel. My guys whose names I mentioned in the photos and will add in, they throw down daily freshness from Casco Bay to you - buy you hesitate when buying retail seafood, you out of towners - and by "you" I am referring to Me. Let your conscience be your guide, real all of Mr. Alarming's reviews - pour it into a bottle and add some Bombay Sapphire - chug it down and partake if you are into that because you can up in here and its everywhere and it'll work up your hunger and you'll laugh a bit more than usual and if that's wrong --------- I don't wanna be right.

The clam chowder was buttery and full of meat and potatoes, but could have used a bit of corn starch to thicken it up. The bacon wrapped scallops were good but could have used a maple glaze or thicker bacon to enhance the flavor of the bacon. The issues were glaring though. We arrived early for a group reservation of 10 and started at the bar. The service was very slow and we got the sense that the bartender was frustrated that we showed up early with the idea to have a cocktail before our reservation. Bar service continued to be painstakingly slow throughout the night. The restaurant was somehow out of several of their menu options (despite the restaurant not being busy on a weekend day). Not the end of the world, but it left us asking some questions. The major issues really arose when our entree courses were served. They had somehow ran out of french fries, and you could see that in the portion size of the frites in our steak frites (the picture included in our review was our plate -- we had BY FAR the most fries out of those at the table who ordered steak frites). And they ran out of steak - one of the people at our party who ordered steak frites was served a hamburger (which isn't even on the menu). Overall, I thought that we overpaid for the food and if it wasn't for the good company at our dinner - I would have been very frustrated.

Let me be clear, I am typically disappointed over and over by the lobster stew I have in Maine. In my mind, it should be classic, with milk, butter, Sherry, and lobster meat. I've been searching for this version from my childhood for the past 30+ years and I finally found it here. Have they added a tiny garnish of rosemary to the top? Yes. Does it make me angry or detract from the sweet perfect flavors of the stew? No. And the lobster meat in the stew was tender, as it should be, rather than having simmered way too long and being tough and chewy. Their crabcakes also were nice and generous, although I don't love the spicy remoulade (I feel it's too strong for delicate crab flavor) and the texture was a bit soft for me. I'm looking forward to being back during my stay and trying more items from the menu! Oh, and don't sleep on the service here, it was excellent.
