Placed a mobile order prior to parking, parked my car and started charging it then walked over to McDonald's. I received a notification that my order was complete. While sitting in front of the registers. My order number did not come up. It took 10 mins for an employee to acknowledge me asking for help. Once i explained the situation she looked at the board and said oh yeah it says we're working on it. The place was not busy but the people ordering since I had been waiting continued to receive their orders. After another 20 mins of waiting I was told they gave the order away to another customer. I was informed via the mobile app my order was ready at 0859, I did not receive any food until 0935 without an apology or anything in regards to the terrible service. Luckily I was too tired to argue or make a scene as waiting 45 mins for a fast food order of 2 breakfast sandwiches is ridiculous. The manager even tried to tell me she called the number out until I informed her I had been sitting in front of the orders for 30 minutes and another employee confirmed that I had. Total disaster. Ordered and paid at Kiosk and took a seat at the assigned table. waited 10 minutes and still no order. Went to the counter and explained that I was still waiting and they had an order like mine but it had a coffee instead of a Diet Coke and they said they would change it to correct the drink I waited another five minutes. We enjoy McDonald's with their meals and service but this McDonald's by Desert Hill Premium outlet was slow and enough worker to get the order done. Also unfortunately is McDonald's is closed until 11am every day (maybe a way to skip breakfast costs or labor costs) I have no clue. This McDonald's is a little bit more pricier than most because it is right next to a pretty popular mall. The food here is great and it's pretty fast on what they do service friendly and respectful and if you're not a fan of Mall food and over pricing for things and just need a quick bite this is the place. read more

So reviews here say this location is closed, but it is open now. I came after leaving Morongo less than a month ago. Big mistake. I had a terrible experience here. I came for drive thru breakfast and my boyfriend and I got 2 sausage McMuffins one with no cheese and one with no egg and 2 hash browns. When we pulled forward a little to check the order, there was 3 sandwiches in there with Canadian bacon and an Apple pie, no hashbrowns. Completely wrong order. So I try to go inside to tell them, but their doors are locked and it's drive thru only, but we had already pulled forward. So I had to awkwardly walk back up to the drive thru window, hand him the bag, and explain my order all over again. He apologizes, goes in and brings me back a bag a few minutes later(while I wait standing at the window). I walk back to the car, check the bag again, THE ORDER IS WRONG AGAIN. The sandwiches were STILL with Canadian bacon, and there was 1 hash brown in there. So I had to walk BACK to the window AGAIN and explain my order AGAIN. They had me wait at my car and finally brought me my right order a few minutes later. I was exhausted and it was hot so standing outside and walking back and forth up to the drive in window was not only super inconvenient and annoying but also unsafe. read more

Always closed, literally never open. Their hours will say open but don't honor their own hours lol. Don't waste your time here.

It is very very busy here, so there is a wait inside and outside. Never been to a location so packed. Then again it is right by the outlet mall so Idk. The food was fresh, but messy. They have a lot on their plate. It is also a holiday so that may play a roll. No paper towels and no mirror in bathroom and only one sink. Guys bathroom just one toilet and only one standing unit. read more

I visited this site Mac today, Oct 3rd. We ordered a double burger , no mustard, no ketchup. Wouldn't substitute with Big Mac sauce, she said it would be .89 cents extra. Wow, no Mayo, no ketchup, no mustard and they won't give you a spoonful of 1000 isle instead! They charge for Mayo so I asked if they had packets, yes and no charge! Imagine that. The burger order finally was filled after a 15-20 minute wait. Guess what the burger was slathered in ? mustard and ketchup and the burger was so well done that the edges were crispy! I asked when I ordered if they could cut the burger in half. She said we can't do that as we don't have knives! I asked if they had plastic knives, and lo and behold they do. So I asked for a knife so I could cut it myself. Order finally came out to which I had to go to the counter and ask what happened to our order. It was sitting on the counter top getting cold! We scraped as much of the mustard and ketchup off and ate about half of this disaster! Won't return! People in line coming in and complaining too! How does this Macdonalds franchisee keep his store! I never thought I'd review a McDonald's but they deserve it. We travel through this area often but this was our first time stopping here. It was 9:45 on a Saturday morning, so they weren't terribly busy (probably since the outlets weren't open yet.) We grabbed two Sausage McMuffin with egg combos and were pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and hot - especially the hash browns - and the OJ was cold. Both staff members we encountered at the drive-through windows were super friendly and upbeat. Let me paint the picture for you: It was a dark and stormy afternoon.... walking through the Desert Hills outlets had been exhausting and unfruitful. Avoid this McDonald's at all cost. Lobby is still closed and it is not apparent until you arrive. It is also the Tesla charging stop.

This bathroom is disgusting. More frequent check ups on the bathroom is a MUST. That is not what I expected since it looks so clean on the outside, I don't want to feel deceived. Just please clean your bathrooms more often. WAIT. I had to edit this. Because I changed my mind on not getting food and my wife and I decided to get some dessert... My wife ordered a chocolate dipped cone. The lady took our order. Then later on proceeds to give my wife a normal ice cream cone. I asked her if she can dip it in chocolate like I asked... she said "we don't do that here." My wife just didn't want any issues, so she asked for a strawberry sundae instead. The lady said "we're going to have to charge you for the difference."?!?!? I told the lady she shouldn't be charging us for the difference since it was her mistake and she told me it wasn't her mistake and that she said they didn't do chocolate dipped cones in the first place?!!!!??!!! I said "you're gonna lie to my wife and I and say you told us you don't?! That's fine I don't mind paying the difference." This is where I was thrown overboard... I look at the receipt where I "paid the difference" and the item I paid for was "extra sauce packet"!!!!!! I told the manager that they're doing shady business because HE instructed the lady to do it that way. He told me that he wanted to save me time and I told him "saving my time would've been being honest in the first place, your employee not talking back, and not charging me the difference as an accommodation." Their ending resolve was charging me the difference the correct, integral way and sending us on our way.. I'm so disappointed in this McDonalds. My wife and I will NEVER go here again. This does not represent any McDonalds I've ever been to. I've been to every type of McDonalds from the ghetto to the suburbs and this is definitely the worst. Every time I come to Palm Springs, this is one of our stops for coffee, fries and ice cream (when having a sweet tooth moment), It's a convenient spot when you want to get off the road for 5 min to use the restroom and get a snack. Staff are polite and they keep the restaurant and bathrooms nice and clean. read more
